Didn't realize the new student was female.
Silver Spoon by Arakawa Hiromu (Fullmetal Alchemist)

What chapter should i start reading the manga from if i watched both seasons of the anime ?
Chapter 1. Always start from Chapter 1, even if you've seen the anime. You don't know if they've left anything out, and there's a different flavor with manga.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Speak of the devil. Chapter 105 is out.
Rare choice manga can entertain you with pages of potato anthropomorphizations.
Go American pototoes!
It's not America without a cowboy hat and a red, white, and blue bikini.
-
Is it just me or does reading this series make anyone else really hungry?
I'm gonna cook so many potatoes…
-
Silver Spoon is simple about its food. And simple is best.
So no, the gluttony it spreads must be universal.

Anime ends with chapter 75 if I recall correctly. And although the adaptation is very good (A-1 Pictures do nice slice of life series, it's action they can't do), you willdo yourself a favour if you will read the manga from the beginning.
Didn't realize the new student was female.
You might need a new horse.
-
Man, I love Nishikawa. Those first few pages were gold.
-
Dawn of the Incans is the most moe potato.

I was planning on reading the manga from the beginning anyway but just wanted to know how many chapters anime covered but still thank you .
-
Dang it's been a long time since we got a chapter.
http://bato.to/read/_/278792/silver-spoon_ch106_by_red-hawk-neo/1Weirdly enough though there always feels like there is enough content in one chapter to tide me over for a long time.
-
And there is even 2 chapters of Ja Ja as a bonus
-
Finally. Sheesh. These used to come out frequently, and as far as I know the chapters themselves are coming out fine. Something happen to the scanlators?
Oh well, hilarious chapter to tide us over.
-
I thought Arakawa was just releasing chapters less frequently to deal with her real life.
-
The latest chapter is 110 which came out sometime in August. The release date of the next one hasn't been announced yet. Arakawa herself slowed down the pace of the chapter release because she has to support a family member going through their medical treatment.
Also, Yezo High equestrian club are the best bros Hachiken could ask for.
-
Oh, I forgot.
But I thought I also heard there's a bunch piled up and the scanlators haven't gotten to them yet.

no as silverblade said there is only 4 chapters left.
-
Also, Yezo High equestrian club are the best bros Hachiken could ask for.
Too fucking true.
Also, Nishikawa continues to be awesome.
-
Nishikawa is my favorite character, and like the best non-main character in the series. The pride of potato farmers and otaku everywhere.
-
There's one positive about the chapters being released so irregularly- you learn to appreciate the series. Awesome chapter, no question.
-
Chapter 107 is out.
bato.to/read/_/283432/silver_spoon_ch107_by_red-hawk-neo
The series didn't really focus too much on Hachiken riding, did it? Ain't that just the way.
-
And by the power of necromancy, here is chapter 109:

http://manga.redhawkscans.com/reader/read/silver_spoon/en/0/109/So, the chapter which released last year final got translated.
-
Aaand here's 110 as well
http://bato.to/read/_/314696/silver-spoon_ch110_by_red-hawk-neoThat should cover all the released chapters in Japan. But it gets even better. Yesterday Arakawa announced that she'll release chapters regularly again. In other words- more Silver Spoon soon
-
Ideal role model.

Isn't she also doing an adaptation of Heroic Legend of Arsland? Whatever happened to that?

I stopped reading a few months ago as the scanlation stagnated (but its being released officially now anyway iirc) so I'm not sure where it's at. I suppose Aohige should know since he's following the manga.
-

Only Silver Spoon has been put on a hiatus, Heroic Legend or Arslan has been running all this time. Crunchyroll is doing the official release. The release is simultaneous, chapter 22 is coming on the 9th as usual, the same day it does in Japan.
Or do you mean the story progression?

The best cheese to go with potatoes is reblochon it wouldn’t have been so tied if they put some in their pizza

Chapter 111 is out:

Oh so the tournament was quite shortly handled
-
It is announced that Gin no Saji goes to another hiatus.
-
Aaand catched it.
If I knew there is a manga that talks about things I study I would joined this conversation earlier. Nishikawa is totally my ideal self. -
Slowly but surely heading towards its conclusion.
If I remember correctly though Silver Spoon's on another short break. I remember reading something on ANN recently.
-
Will there be a third anime season? I really enjoyed the first two.

Fun fact: Horses usually sleeps standing. -
Aw man, it feels so weird to see Hachiken and co graduate… Feels like yesterday when that li'l nerd came to the farm and had no clue about anything farming whatsoever... Yet I've learned to love that bespectacled bastard sniff
Nonetheless, knowing when to end a story is one of Arakawa's strong suits. Silver Spoon finishing on a high will be satisfactory too I'm certain.

I heard that the animation didn't actually do well. So, I doubt there going to do the third season.
If there is still planning, then most likely either on its climax or after it ended.

I thought they were still Second-Year.
-
I thought they were still Second-Year.
Here Mikage is talking about them, the third-years, retiring.
-
…Did I...just thought they started as first years or missed if they skipped a entire year in the manga?
-
^ Many months were basically skipped in the manga. We had plenty of chapters for the first year, some for the second, then we jumped straight toward the end of the third year. If I remember correctly, of course: I'm not totally sure about the 2nd year, though…
-
I've just caught up with the manga. Hadn't read it in years and now it's going into hiatus… bad luck me. Because I really was enjoying it! It seems about to end though, I always pick up Arakawa's mangas when they're about to end... And yeah, we had 90 and some chapters dedicated to the first year, basically, and since then it's been a quick ride to the end of their high school.
-
Dammit, why do mangas always go on hiatus when there's a really good cliffhanger!?

Fun fact: Horses usually sleeps standing.True. But they can also sleep lying down if they're really bushed.
-
It has been announced that the manga will resume in January 2016! http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2015/11/24-1/hiromu-arakawas-silver-spoon-manga-to-return-in-january-2016
-
It's back! Chapter 114
-
Nishikawa mah boi. I miss u so much!!
-
Sweet, it's finally back.
-
Silver Spoon is such a relaxing manga to read, I missed it a lot.
-
And go, Komaba!
-
This sure must taste better than the laughing cow cheese nan we get in indian restaurants.
And a nice surprise as end of chapter. -
You don't realize how much you've missed a manga until you start reading it again. Welcome back, Hachiken!
