Has anyone played this game? Apparently it's getting pretty popular. It's just behind Dissidia 012 and 3rd Birthday.
Anyway the story is mediocre. The supporting characters can be read like books. Your character is handled poorly. Your ties to the rest of the cast is superficial at best. (It's like Persona done poorly.)
And the gameplay is pretty much Monster Hunter simplified.
I'm not seeing the magic at all here.

I've actually been playing this quite a bit with a friend of mine.
The story is pure shit. However the gameplay is actually pretty fun. It's like Monster Hunter with some platforming elements (aka being able to jump and air combo). And the ability to "eat" monsters with your weapon for bonuses is cool.
I like it.
