Excellent to hear, james' godzillathon was fantastic too. Id say as of right now that you are correct in saying xplus is the best right now, its got the quality to warrent the price, but some of them are hard to get a hold of now. SH monster arts are really good too, great sculpts with articulation and they seem intent on making every monster possible, and there easy to find. Other then those most are small offshoot series or one off figures you can keep an eye on, those are the two big ones right now. Bandai has its older series of figures, i have a good number of those but they dont hold a candle to the sculpts of the newer ones.
Keep me updated when ever you pick one up

Thanks for the info! Yeah, from what I've watched so far I'm definitely finding the Heisei series the most entertaining, especially Biollante and King Ghidorah….....problem is, those 2 particular SH monsterarts go for $200-$300!! Crazy money, but that Biollante in particular is amazing!!
I imagine my initial purchases would be for the 1994 Godzilla and maybe Mechagodzilla & Spacegodzilla, since those 3 seem to be the most affordable. Around $50 each…..
It's a shame they never released that 1989 Biogoji prototype, what I think I might do is hold out until Tamashii Nation in 1 months time to see if anything new is announced by Bandai!!

Anyone getting the Tamashii Nation Exclusive Magma IMPACT EFFECT? I want to get it, but because it's exclusive the cheapest I can find it for is 3,500 yen which is too much for an accessory!! I'd rather get POP Sugar for that price! Anyone know anywhere I can get it cheaper?

Yeah, I have the GREY and BEIGE IMPACT already and they are great!! I just worry as this is a Tamashii exclusive only available via proxy, so may be hard to get after release.
I passed on the flame effects, but I'm really excited that the EXPLOSION EFFECTS are finally up for pre-order!! I'm gonna have to get both of them when they are out in February!! Now I just need to get some more 1/10 scale articulated figures to display with them!! haha, Terraformar & Guyver Figma's are up there! Still skeptical about the quality of the SH Figuarts and Medicos SAS lines…..........Although it'd be cool to have a Kinnikum/JoJo tag team!! haha
Eh, even if it's expensive I reckon you should get the magma version. 
These effects are pretty popular for good reason, they really heighten the cool factor on any action figure imo, and non-action figures even. Not to mention magma would look good with characters like Akainu!

Ok, I hate to quote myself (although I do it a lot), but after over 2 years of deliberating (I can't believe it's been that long), I've finally decided to take the plunge on those JoJo Part II SAS figures….........
Only problem is now they're all so freaking expensive........~~just bought Joseph, Kars, Wamuu & Esidisi for about 7,000 yen each (with shipping) which is a pain in the ass since they retailed at 4,500 yen.
If you take shipping into account, I've probably paid an extra 1,500 yen on each figure…..hopefully the lower value of the Yen now offsets the extra cost.....
Still looking for Caesar, there was one used @ amiami for 4,000 yen the other week but I missed it..........I might have to drop 6,000 yen on one at Manda after all :sad: Got in there quick and snagged it! Both are sold out now. Can't wait to finally get them!~~ Don't ask!

You will be blown away if you've never purchased AOW before. Their practices lately are questionable with the repaints and infuriating gimmicky products….but this is one of the things they got right (and when they get it right, it is a centerpiece in any figure collection). So I thought I'd managed to snag them all from Japtou! (http://www.japtou.com/) WORD OF WARNING!! NEVER EVER EVER BUY FROM THEM!! Luckily, a week after making payment and no communication, I googled them to discover that they are a dead company, but continue to scam buyers. I raised a dispute and escalated to a claim with PayPal, and after no response for a week, I got a full refund!!
I've been hunting them on Mandarake ever since…....and after missing a couple (one of which I ordered, but was sold out in storefront hours after going up on the site) I finally managed to snag Joseph & Caesar from Shibuya store!!!! Praise the heavens!!

Haha! He sure is! Along with Momotaro Tsurugi!! Regarding the WF exclusive, I don't think it ever didn't cost an arm and a leg!! Unless you were fortunate enough to attend Wonder Festival and grab him for his event price of 5,000 yen.
But bearing in mind that there are only 2,000 of these figures in existence in the world, I'm pretty pleased I managed to grab him! Also, unlike MH, medicos are unlikely to reissue any of their Part II figures and certainly not event exclusives (trust me, I already asked them!)

Good find….20th anniversary is one of the AOW hall of famers for sure....one of the couple AOW pieces I got multiple versions of because of how much I liked it. Last repainting was one I debated if I needed another but finally decided against it since it's so bloody....but hey, no one fits being covered with blood more than Guts. Congrats.
I don't get it. Whats with the figma releases going rapidly up in price as of late? Both Lucina and Snake are sitting around the 6000 yen mark, while pretty much all of the other ones are at 3000-4000, you don't seem to get anything more with them than other releases

I recall someone or even the company saying the more detailed sculpts raised the price or something like that. But yeah buying 2 snakes is going to destroy my wallet, ive got to order lucina as well.
