Kenpachi can be Rita purely because Cyan pointed out that musical Kenpachi looks like Rita. But Yachiru as Lord Zedd is a freaky thought…

Why are you guys saying Kuma's black?
If anything he's "hispanic" or just "brown."
He's as "black" as Chad is.

In the anime anyway, in the manga he's as white as anyone else (just look at the image Sniper King posted). And as far as I'm concerned the manga is the only thing that matters.

I'd agree, but Oda seems to have quite an influence on what goes on in the anime and whatnot (remember, he DID tell animators that Rayleigh was important WAY back in Season One as to not create a plothole inadvertently), so I tend to treat both equally.
That being said: I do wonder if he's ok with him being a bit darker.
Just for shits and giggles.

I guess the anime decided to make Kuma black for no reason. been awhile since I saw that color spread. What the heck. Kuma ain't black.
Why would they do that o_O
I'll ignore the Renji comments. For now . . . . . .

I guess you're right, I guess Kuma can be either. He can be a moderately dark skinned, black haired guy (like you, I know you're Puerto Rican) or a fairly light skinned, brown haired guy (like me). It's nice to have at least one relevant character in a good manga who looks like you.
Of course it shouldn't really matter, most humans are surprisingly empathetic creatures, willing to sympathize with and like characters in media (and real life) who look nothing like them in terms of hair, skin or eye color. But it's still nice to see at least a few relevant good characters in entertainment we like, that resemble us. Kuma has a similar skin tone to you (in the anime), and a similar hair color to mine (in color pages of the manga), and there aren't too many other characters in the series with that skin tone or hair color so it's nice to have at least one prominent one. Kuma is pretty cool, very strong and while at first seeming antagonistic he ends up being very heroic.
Let's get back to talking about Felch… so Aizen trolled anyone lately? (I don't read this crap anymore).

Cyan, thanks for that. That video led me to this one.

Clearly they cut out all the pats where Johnny Morphed and chopped the guy in half with his axe.

They probably didn't want to show the mess that was made as a result of such a massacre

Then again Oda originaly planned his suit to be orange.

Both new Jump based anime, Gintama 2nd season and SKET Dance are doing better than Bleach.
Not to mention Toriko having like nealry five times higher ratings. (partially thanks to One Piece lol)Soon or later Kubo's gonna have to realize he needs to stop sucking.

But….what if he doesn't think he sucks?
Nah, mostly likely he'll get told something like
"Kubo, your ratings are dropping, and they're saying quality is dropping fast too, what are you going to do?"
"Here comes Hitsugaya!"
-
The hell, I never even heard of SKET dance and it's beating Bleach? Wow.

I'm curently hunting down Kubo interviews for use in our Blog thing, and there's a lot of unmined gold gleaming in there.
Like, when Bleach started out, Kubo hadn't thought of captains. Not just the characters themselves, but the concept of captains, and the Soul reaper organizations structure. Which would form the absolute centre of the story from what, 50 chapters in and onwards.EDIT: Referring to Aizen’s speech “I know you since you were born.”
この秘密はいつ明かされるのか、と質問する森田
“When is this secret going to be revealed?” Morita asked.
「まだはっきり決めてない」
“I haven’t clearly decided yet.” Sensei answered.

Realy ?
Well dang .

It just keeps coming…
Even after Aizen was revealed as the mastermind at the end of SS, Kubo was unsure whether Aizen was going to be defeated right then and there or not. Wow.

What ?
He didn't know whether he was going to do the whole 3 year lasting war ?
What ?

It really doesn't come as to much of a surprise, when you start to think about it. It's Kubo. And hot damn at him losing to Sket Dance, a series I only heard of in the past few months. Although from what I hear it's worth checking out and I'll give it a chance.
-
My god, Kubo. Don't admit these things. These are, you know, bad things.
-
He things he's being rebelious and edgy by admiting them, I bet.
-
Kubo works on a different plane from normal people. Remember: he himself thinks he's a genius and that everything he does is going to be beloved by kids in Japan. In reality, he just throws stuff at the wall every week and people for the most part eat it up.
I'm somewhat happy Japan is starting to catch on and finally turn against him…but the moment he brings back a fan favorite character, then we'll be eating those words again.

Yeah I feel rather sadly confident that all Kubo has to do to get his ranking back up again is bring back the Gotei 13 with their new timeskip designs, which probably won't be very good. But it'll still most likely bring the rankings back up again which is sad. Here's hoping that SJ readers really are getting tired of this crap like the rest of us and Kubo will be forced to cancel it. But I feel rather confident that after Kubo has been writing this series for 400+ chapters and nearly a decade they won't be cancelling it anytime soon. However if ratings continue to be lower, they will probably tell him to hurry up the series into a conclusion, which I guess is the next best thing. The sooner this crap ends, the better.

Don't forget the anime is to feature Hitsugaya soon. So I expect ratings of the manga, regardless of what badly paced reaction-shots bonanza it features, to go up by then.
Or at the very least the moment Yamamoto does something as the new opening implies.
Which is probably the only reason I wouldn't bitch about a rank increase.
Also, you know I was thinking: Pierrot has to fill up regular Kuboid story time with random dream fillers and the like, when they aren't doing their own arcs, so I figure: could the Bleach anime become one of those anime series that at some point diverge from the manga original to develop and follow a plot of their own ? I mean, it's not like any aditional "powerup" they could think up for Ichigo wouldn't be at least just as lame as anything Kubo comes up with, so I see no real danger in quality decrease.
Hell I'd actualy enjoy a whole series of fillers just to see new characters in action, and by that I mean new characters and not random doodles Kubo makes of half his new group's members after blatantly stealing the other half.
-
I bet Pierrot would come up with a more engaging story if they branched off like Bones did with the first FMA anime. Either that or we'd get more lulz, so it's a win win for us.
-
Normally I'm against that idea, no more Rurouni Kenshin trainwreck please.
But for Bleach…. it might be for the better.
I mean, it's at rock bottom of the shitter already anyways, all anyone else could do is go up. -
Just think about it–Pierrot could hire writers who...
GAAAASP
plan in advance!
-
Well they sort of already have them, because they did their own multi episode fillers in the past, and regardless of how good or bad they were (I have not seen any of them yet) , they had to be planned out, given how a lot more people work on an average anime episode for a lot longer then on a normal manga chapter.
-
Generally the Bleach fillers have been decent, though there has been crap amidst it. The Bount generally was well recieved even with a couple slip ups, as was the Zanpakuto rebellion arc (well until the arc was over and they had random filler with filler characters until continuity returned) But if the anime diverged, the people will complain "WHERE IS THE LATEST MANGA ARC!!!" regardless of how putrid a road Kubo falls down next.
-
I think that the low ratings on the "Fullbringer Background Rescue arc" seems to indicate people don't realy like it that much.
-

Not only it's a slow arc but we can feel by reading it that the arc has absolutely no importance in the grand scheme of things. It's kinda like a filler arc or at least it feels like it.

Has anything in Bleach really mattered? What is this "grand scheme of things" you claim Kubo has.
-
I was expecting with a new arc, Kubo would put characters like Keigo and co in the spotlight, but nope, we have this borings characters.
-

Ichigo fighting strong people, basically.
The thing is… this arc's villains seem to be too weak compared to past villains like Aizen and the Espada. -
Also it has nothing to do with the Spirit King and shit like that. we should know a little about the guy by now.
-

For the most part this is a good thing. Aizen is one of the most overpowered villains I've ever seen.

Truly the work of a mastermind.
I still like Bleach for what it is, but I think we can all admit Bleach has no real plot or purpose post Rukia rescue. What was Aizen's goal? Never was even explained properly. At best we have a tiny, tiny microscopic hint of a "series plot" involving the Soul King, but with no foreshadowing, you can hardly call it that.
-
Aizen may have been outrageous, but at least he wasn't boring. Unlike Tsukishima.
-
Personally, I loved Aizen. He brought gratuitous amounts of entertainment for me in all the wrong ways.

Aizen was the best, we had so much when he was around.

Don't forget what he did to Hitsugaya.
Not to mention watching Aizen evolve into a new pokemon week after week.

AIZEN used HYPNOSIS
-
I wonder if Aizen knew about this Fullbring stuff with Ichigo since he knew everything about him since he was born.
-
!
!
Speaking of Aizen knowing about Ichigo since birth…!
-
I will laugh if Aizen sent a hollow to attack Ichigo's mother so Ichigo can have Fullbring powers and use that in some future plans.
"Ichigo saves Aizen from prison using his Fullbring powers"
Aizen: Just as planned

I'm still waiting for the cliffhanger where they tell Ichigo Aizen broke out of prison because he fooled them with an illusion.
