@Louis-1988:
Most posters here can't even articulate why they think Bleach is bad. They just bandwagon bash.
Insignificant? I'd say someone not understanding that Bleach characters don't actually fly and why they sometimes fall, and then trying to use that misconception to unfairly criticize the author is a pretty big deal. Bleach is far from perfect, but more often than not you guys criticize aspects of the story that you don't fully understand.
I'll admit I've had my fair share of bashing Bleach without trying to take some time to try to understand stuff (most of this was way before I started posting in this forum). I find the argument to not matter that much, which is my I called that point insignificant. If you think it's significant, more power to you. I'm not going to argue that part.
Just because we don't know what Yhwach's endgame is yet doesn't mean he doesn't mean he's an empty character or that he lacks a personality.
We don't know his end game, but we need character from him, and a semblance of reason. Bach is not interesting, period. The most I've seen people try to give Bach character is take ideas of characters from certain mythologies, and attach it to him. Bach keeps almost the same expression all the time. When he talks, it's always questioning peoples motivations, when his eyes should give him the answers. There's nothing for me to latch on to him as a character. At least at some point Obito was giving some sort of motive, and there was some characterization to an extent. Maybe I'm missing something, and you can point out what, or where, his character was shown.
if this is any indication, then I believe it's safe to say they all have their individual reasons and motivations for joining him. He's probably the benefactor to a lot of the Quincy.

So one panel of Bach's origin, and a few of the Fear guy. I'll say fear guy has motivation, that out of obligation for saving him. Then again, he feared the man, so if anything, people are doing it out of fear, but then are surprised when he betrays them. Once again, we don't see his Charisma that got him an army of people that are willing to kill the Shinigami when they personally have no grudge against him.
Are you sure you aren't talking about Kishi and Oda?
You got anything better than that? I'll list the quincy that were offscreened, or had no fight basically. Turn into Kenpachi, Other 2 Kenpachi dragged, Overpower, Guy that was imagined to death or whatever, power girl, lightning girl, girl who extends mouth, love guy, bazzbee, Metal guy, robot guy. That's 12 characters introduced and offed with no build-up or tension. I'll concede the first three, since they were dead before introduced, but that's still 9 that were introduced and came up to nothing. Even the ones with actual fights were boring, as Mask had cool moves that didn't faze Renji, fear had one moment that scared Rukia then he lost, Bambietta lost one chapter after using her super power thing, and Imagination guy was a very unimaginative fight. Zombie girl had some humor, so it was bearable.
It established them as a legitimate threat to Soul Society during the initial invasion and it also cost Yamamoto his life.
Oh yeah, showed them as a threat. Maybe they would've looked better if they actually had killed off some characters, like Byakuya. The idea to before that 4 week break was that they needed to train in order to fight without their Bankai. It was being built-up that they would have some legit fights without Bankai. Then a chapter or two of their asses getting kicked, only to get it back all of a sudden and turn the tides instantly. Bankai stealing was not needed to show their threat.
Did you miss Hitsugaya and Matsumoto vs. Bazz-B?
Even with Bankai Soul Society has still suffered some casualties. For example Mask no sold Kensei and Roses Bankai's, and Bambietta and Bazz-B both defeated Shinji before he could do anything.
Oh, I remember clearly, and it was terrible. They couldn't have made the duo fight someone else, one of the ones who were offed with nothing. Have a simple power, have the two work together to bring the Quincy down, and while they are beat up and down, another one comes that they can't beat. You show that their training paid off, but they need Bankai if they want to be able to fight the stronger ones.
Mask beat Rose because he was stupid enough to explain his power. If Mask had figured it out himself, I would've been fine. Problem also is that the Vizards are the Vice-Admirals of this series, used to hype other characters, and can never do anything themselves.
This is all subjective.
How about we let Kubo tell the story? Clearly Ishida has ulterior motives for why he's working with Yhwach.

This doesn't address my main problem. Despite him having an ulterior motive, which is most likely revenge, he is actively helping him. Not only that, he allowed himself to become endowed with power, which Bach has full control of him. You make it so there is no way to stay out of his control, despite him seeing everything, so you can't possibly carry out your plan. By going this far, you have allowed a lot of death, souls that are gone, and are allowing him to destroy the world. Worse, you are allowing him to absorb the Soul King which will make him the God of everything. I don't care what his motive is, he's let things go too far.
