This show has potential
Every showed that's ever aired on this network has had potential…to be canceled.
Don't know why but this show intrigues me for some reason.
-
the first episode was really good. cause one: in the first few minutes the boys are already in trouble. and two: the chase scene with the mother was awesome.
-
Just watched three shorts.
This show is adorable as hell and I love it.
-
No love for this show?
Edit: This shoule get moved for the right section.

If there isn't much love for a show like Bojack Horseman or even Moral Orel, I wouldn't be surprised by the lack of fanfare over this one.
Personally, I find it goofy and charming but that's it.
-
Blast from the past. I haven't been keeping up with Gumball recently.
-
It lost something after the first season; I can't quite place what it is specifically but the show just never got back to that level to me.
-
What do you expect.
It's not Adventure Time or Young Justice.
Yes, it´s a pretty simple and funny cartoon.
I guess not having sad plots and serious undertones reduces anything to trash tier these days. I would love to have something like Gumball when I was younger.–- Update From New Post Merge ---

I guess not having sad plots and serious undertones reduces anything to trash tier these days. Not so much that, as much as it means each episode is standalone fluff there just for the gags there's absolutely nothing to talk about or reflect upon. Same with Teen Titans Go.
If there isn't at least a semblance of continuity or building what came before, there's nothing to speculate on or talk about.
Event the shows that do have build up like Aventure Time, Venture Brothers or Stephen Universe don't get a whole lot of discussion traction, partly because the 11 minute short format works against it. (Or in Venture Brothers case, the fact they go off the air for 2 years at a time and then just come back with like 8 episodes)
I think Rick and Morty will probably get some mileage when its new season starts.
Now Uncle Granpa, THAT'S trash tier.

…
Good point, but can´t we say the same thing about Regular Show? Sure it only has 11 pages, but still…
Also, if UG is trash tier, what should we call...
!
Toxic Waste tier?
-
Regular show does have some ongoing plot threads and character development though. WIthout checking, I bet most of the discussion is about Mordecai's dating life.
-
The new stuff with Penny and Gumball seems to be moving toward a continuity of sorts. But yeah its largely standalone.
I love that Gumball pushes some boundaries content-wise. It also stradles a great balance of sarcasm and winkwink meta commentary. It also takes great glee from fully exploiting the quirks of the bizarre art style/ character designs.

What do you expect from a Canadian cartoon?
-
Hey now, Canada's not all bad. They gave us Ed, Edd n' Eddy

Good thing I never credited us for that I'd be embarrassed as hell.
-
I need to catch up this show.XD
-
Whoa, that's Masami's mom?
I keep seeing episodes in spurts, but at this point, I don't know which ones are "new" and which ones I just haven't seen.
-
Yeah, this episode is a new one. Came out on the 19th August, I think.
It's titled "The fury"-Season 4 episode 37.
It's a MUST watch.XD -
IMHO (or not very humble opinion) Gumball is without a doubt the best cartoon on tv right now. I adore it so much.
