@Darkestsith6:
Clearly, you have some reading comprehension disabilities. I don't mind long drawn out stuff, as long as it is happening with the Strawhat characters. I'm one of those guys that thinks this arc is moving too fast, and hoped it would've progressed slower. However, I prefer the content to be more heavily on the Strawhats because those are the characters I read the series for. Not some side chars that I'll forget 1 chapter after the arc ends.
So, you are anti-world building. Why? This in itself is a terrible opinion, especially from a person who is a fan of a series that is notable for its world building. That's like me buying a Beatles album and complaining about it being rock music.
Why are you doing reading One Piece if not for the adventure and discovery of new things as we go along? Seriously though, I completely recommend that you read Bleach. It's right up your alley.
You can still get good depth of character without a flashback. Like I said, some text heavy panels describing these characters would do them enough justice in my mind.

"Yo guys, who else thinks way too much is happening in each chapter right now? Who's with me? Nobody? Well, I think it would be great if Oda could just shove tons of information down our throat at once!"
Considering both characters are dead, yes they will entirely become irrelevant as the series progresses except for some passive mentioning of them.
Are you seriously saying that you think Fisher Tiger is going to become irrelevant after this arc? I could believe Otohime MIGHT become irrelevant, but Fisher Tiger? Really? The guy that crafted the lives of 2 of the schichibukai, the same 2 who also happen to be Luffy's closest allies not in his crew, he'll become irrelevant? The man who invaded World Government headquarters and attacked the World Nobles, he's going to become irrelevant? The man who declared war against the World Government, something you may not have noticed has become a primary conflict in the series, will become irrelevant? How about you rethink your terrible stance?
You may not have noticed this, but the entire plot of One Piece is based around a dead guy's last words. I don't know why you would think that Oda would ever write this flashback if it weren't going to be relevant to the story.
Also, why are you acting like this flashback is only going to show Fisher Tiger and Otohime? Yes, it will probably have a large focus on them, but Jinbe (who isn't dead) right on the first page of the flashback, not to mentio the 7 other fishmen that we already know (all of which are also not dead).
Congrats dude, you're e-hard. Good luck getting by in life with such an attitude. A word of advice, though I doubt you'll heed it considering the way you've already reacted, change the way you respond to beliefs that go against your own. Take it in for what it's worth, and don't automatically dismiss something because you think it's wrong. Not everyone is wired or tuned the same way, and you'll see a wide array of opinions on every subject.
Yup, I'm sure I'll see opinions that span all the way from "amazing" to "terrible", yours unfortunately fell closer to the "terrible" end of the spectrum and I felt that you should know.
