Someone draw a graph about quality of series through all 700 chapters, then a knife cuts the line right before 700th and on that last point draw pretty flowers with a caption "sorry".
Bart Simpson Thread XI: The Movie - The Manga Adaption - The Animation
-
-
Most unsatisfying ending ever.
-
Are you talking about Neji?
The dog didn't even get enough spotlight to be stabbed by a splinter.
-
Watch the short series be much MUCH better at fleshing out the epilogue characters…..
Then it gets picked up as an actual series and then starts to disappoint and the cycle continues again.

nope, he is free now
Well, that explains all now.
What about Orochimaru? Is he dead? Is he alive? Was he still trying to get Sasuke´s ass 15 (or so) years later
-

….........................
-
Best part of 699 was the colour pages. The first page was cool and the colour spread was pretty awesome but I couldn't help but feel how forced it was. What Kishi did with the statues was definitely one of the best things he's done visually in a while. But it was forced. To me at least
Best part of 700 was the Jolly Roger -was there ever any doubt?
-
The dog didn't even get enough spotlight to be stabbed by a splinter.
Only real VIPS get to be killed by slow moving, easily avoidable splinters. And get a tomb.
Shikamaru's dad wasn't that lucky. No country for old men (having tombs).
(Because. . .he died, right? I think? I don't quite. . .remember? Explosion, never mentioned again, was that it?)
BTW, kind of an ASSHOLISH move to give Naruto beyond Jesus like powers and. . .not ressurrect a single person. Pain ressurrected like 100 people 200-300 chapters ago, but his holiness Jesus incarnate can't even grow an arm back and needs Hashirama Swiss Knife cells?
Fuck that. Feels incredibly cheap. If Nagato could sacrifice himself and bring people back to life, at least one of the gazillion super legends of olde that appeared on that war never to be seen again could've done that.
–------------------
And BTW, surprised no one is mentioning this: Jiraya. So. . .did he really die? For real?
-
I'm sad I won't get to post a "eye-burning naruto fanart" collection ever again.
But the actual ending chapters, they sit well with me for some reason. It's simple pairing and generation "red+blue = purple" kids, but it's an actual ending. I have no idea how skyscrapers got there, but I don't really care. And better girl won. (there is no best girl in naruto)
So yeah, I can safely say I'm done with this. Maybe I'll read about what the movie does when it comes out, but I've seen this thing through to its end, after 9 or so years of reading it. I think I've earned a respite from this wacky world of ninjas and magic eyeballs.

That reminds me, where did Killer Bee disappear to in the final battle? -
I honestly kind of liked the epilogue chapter
-
Well it was a passable end I guess. I maybe would have thought better of it if I actually cared for those characters, but that is for a long time now not the case. I am just glad it's over. Don't care for the movie and hope the new mini series will be short and not stretched into an endless shonen if it's popular. At least now till spring will be naruto manga free.
At last all there is to say is…Obito was a cool guy.
-

I certainly won't complain about Narumessiah randomly reviving undoing sacrifices, reagardless of how indifferent I was to those sacrifices in the first place.
-
I bet Kishimoto couldn't even close an open door even if it was right in front of his view. "Oh I forgot to close the door, but don't worry, I'll include it in my shitty Data Book."
-
Decent ending. Can't say more than that about it tbh.
-

But it feels like cheap "see? war has consequences! teenagers die!" shock value when we know they high tiers in Naruto are better than fucking Shenron when it comes to bringing back people from the dead.
Hell, the second could've done it? Or Hashirama almighty? Someone? Only Nagato knew the reviving jutsu? Convenient?
Hell, bring him back from the dead as a zombie if you prefer. I'm sure he won't complain about having a perfectly normal life + infinite chakra + immortality. I know I would be fine with it.

Anko got fat… why did it have to be Anko, she was hot!

Anko got fat… why did it have to be Anko, she was hot!
You should know that single women in Naruto have an expiration date.
Why do you think they are all desperate to find men?
Just look at the former Mizukage. The poor thing has an orbit of her own. -
Hey guys…guys...the best part about naruto ending is that now it won't be the first chapter out of the three big ones released first. Naruto always was released first to get that traffic, but now that it's gone I think one piece will be released often first. I doubt bleach will get narutos spot. Although there is basically no dialogue.
-
Decent ending. It was incredibly rushed in some aspects (the undoing of that technique where everyone was fused with a tree, Sakura immediately forgiving Sasuke due to a half-hearted apology, introducing all of these couples (many of which came out of nowhere)), but seeing Naruto accomplish his long-standing goals after all this time did put a smile on my face, so mission accomplished, I suppose.

Actually, I'm a little bit happy that a lot of people will start reading One Piece now. Kishi put the SH logo, kids don't havy any other series to follow, so I'm sure we'll get a lot of new fans.
I'm only a little bit scared it'll be NARUTO fans…
-
Kishi didn't show Yamato and Shizune in the epilogue, did he? Or did I just miss them?
I wonder who is Lee's son's mother.

shizune is naruto's assistant just like shikamaru
-
A nice ending i guess. Kinda weird seein em all grown up, with kids of their own…little Naruto grew up, had kids and now finally accomplished his goal of being Hokage...it came full circle...
-
!
I had a good laugh when I saw this panel, I think it's a great way to summarize this manga
-
The result of Sakura's "character arc" is "housewife".
FITTING.
-
Oh wow, that strawhat on Naruto's face
Wtf are those skyscrapers, though… :getlost: -
At least she didn't turn out like Tsunade, grown old and still looking for a man, she got what she wanted, and i'm sure she has a role in the village, she was a pretty damned good healer after all..
-
The result of Sakura's "character arc" is "housewife".
FITTING.
She's a woman, what do you expect her to do?
-
Argh, mean lag prevents me from seeing a 3rd of the final chapter, but from what i can gather…
The Evolution of Sakuras character arc
- Crush hard on angsty douchebag for years on end
- Get berated, abused and abandoned by douchebag
- Vow to get stronger
- Retain crush on douchebag, to the point of being willing to turn fugitive with him when he becomes a traitor
- Retain crush on douchebag after he vows to destroy her home, and be totally unable to make douchebag face justice for his crimes
- Have douchebag attempt to murder her
- Resolve to step back and let the boys take care of things
- Get extremely outclassed by the hero in her major field of expertise
- Briefly cooperate with douchebag and hero to save the world; then witness douchebag declare his nonsensical intentions to murder the hero and kill all world leaders.
- Get incapacitated by douchebag like a chump.
- Douchebag says he's really really sorry about all the above
- Get impregnated by the douchebag
- Get abandoned to raise the child by yourself while the douchebag wanders the world as a brooding hobo
- Be content
-
And so it ends.
Naruto is a flawed series, not perfect, it never was, and I do think that those who have fallen out of love with the manga are justified in some way. However Naruto has been around for a long time, and many of us have grown up reading the manga, loving it, joking about it, hating it, not even giving a damn. But still, to see something end, where people like me starting reading in high school and are now adults, there are alot of mixed feelings to seeing one of the big three ending.
I got what I wanted. Hinata and Naruto are together, and there is a just and loving god in the universe. The ending is solid, not perfect, a little fast paced, but I am satisfied. It is what it is and I won't stir in disappointment, at least not yet.
It's been a wild ride, many good thing, many bad things. But now it is over.
Thanks for everything Naruto, you were a good series, a flawed one, but a good one.
-
Now that Naruto has ended i have mixed feelings. For one part i am just happy that its finally over and that it got a decent ending, despite the random pairings i kinda like how it ended. But when i look back, how i started reading Naruto, and how much i loved it, and now reading the last chapter…i am just sad that i am not able to enjoy the ending, because of Kishis awfull way of treating the characters and their storys. But for what it is i am glad, looking at the last years of Naruto chapters it could have been worse.
-
I can't believe it's over. I mean….when I joined Arlong Park, the thread title was still "80s, Boobs, and Pizza" or something like that. The sheer randomness of the Naruto thread (before it got synced with Bleach's) was a source of entertainment. Some hated the randomness, others embraced.
Oh man, I remember the season where we started calling Sakura a bicycle and everyone donned Naruto avatars. Or what about the birth of robbybedfart? Or even:
[hide][/hide]
See the Vegito avatar? Holy crap that was me…..man I feel old.
-
So, apparently Oda put Naruto in the new OP chapter title page. And also, he put certain characters there with him whose names read:
NAmi
RUfi(Luffy)
TOni(Tony)Bravo, Oda. Even when you're just patting a rival and a friend on the head, you're still giving it everything you've got.
-
I'll get to read the last few chapters today… I guess.
-

Yeah, I thought that was pretty cool. (also it reminds you of the possibility that Sanji could've been named Naruto, heh)
-
Too predictable. But still, this kind of chapter is something I kinda wanted to see when I started it, my first shonen~
I feel happy though, it's finally over, it had gotten so bad lately. On the other hand kinda mixed feelings too maybe, but whatever.
Waiting for a movie.P.s. Gaara got hotter.
-
Holy crap, Tsunade now looks a young woman in her late teens.
And Kiba married the nekoba granddaughter, in case you guys didn't notice.
-
The ending wasn't that bad I suppose, still feels odd knowing it's over. Bad or not I've been reading it for so long, can't quite sink in yet.
Seeing Sakura as a housewife just did it for me, deary me Kishi!
-
I thought I would feel some "type of way" but I didn't feel anything, nothing, nada, rien, good job Kishi.
-
The ending was far from perfect, but seeing Hinata with her daughter smiling and Naruto scolding his son for being a prankster just like he was at his age, indeed make me smile. The "village is my family" now moment was a memorable quote from the third.
And the Strawhat symbol at the end was a nice surprise. This week ninjas pay respect to pirates.
-
Is nobody going to talk about the random pairing that is Chouji and Karuui?
Like. I know I stopped reading somewhere just near the beginning of the war but-
Not like I'm complaining - boss ass pairing AND their kid is a mega qt so yeah.
Anko whatchu dowan. Anko. Anko what.
Also EVERYONE GOT HOT.
EVERYONE(ish).
AND THANKYOU NOT FORGETTING KANKURO I CAN SLEEP AT EASE NOW.
Shame he didn't get a pairing. Even with Tenten woulda been neat, though I imagine Tenten remained single due to Neji's death and that Lee's 'kid' is actually like a Lee-Gai relationship in which it's some randomer cannot-use-jutsu kid who saw him and was like 'T-TEACH ME SENPAI!' and they all lived happily ever after.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
AnkoxMizukage (pre-700 one) for new OTP.

It was like I read the Harry Potter epilogue all over again. Ino/Sai was weird and I really want to know who the mother of Lee's child is, but I am so glad it is over! More attention for One Piece please!
-
who names their child bolt? Sounds like something you name a dog…...like that dog bolt from the disney movie...

Isn't it to mirror the whole "Minato = fast" theme?

Please, aren't you asking a bit too much out of Kishimoto? Give the man a rest, finally done. :)

And so, Naruto, the ninja comic 15 years in the making finally comes to an end.
Honestly, the last two chapters were…about expected. Rushed as hell and of course these ultimate resolutions for the characters are hard to get into when they've had practically no development throughout the manga. But ultimately, yes, I am glad that Hinata got her man in the end (though I love how she and Naruto's daughter get only one page. It's like Kishi is skirting around the fact that they're married).
Well, guess now we wait for the movie for some of that development we should have gotten.
-
With all the lag it took me so long to read the last two chapters that it felt much longer.
I actually liked the final chapter… somewhat.
Minus housewife!Sakura.
I mean ain't nothing wrong with chilling with no danger in the world and whatnot, but...
Actually no. The worst part is that clearly she and Sasuke do the do most likely during/just after the events of 'The Last'.
