Married with Children is indeed a classic show.
I will defend the greatness of this show from stupid people who say it's stupid until the day I die.
I really wanna get a no maam shirt.
I never liked Bud or understood what his contribution to the show was.
I think he was just pretty much the original "son that sucks." Every character's purpose was really just to interact with Al.

Did he ever tell you about the time he scored four touchdown in one game?

Ahem, it was for Polk High. A very important detail.
Words cannot describe how much I loved and still love this show. Nothing quite polished off my evening as a kid like Al trying to evade a sexually-aroused Peg, or staring around in dull horror as the ground shakes, heralding the arrival of Peggy's mother. This show just had a hell of a lot of fun moments, with a great cast and script. Even now, I still like to catch reruns every so often. A great series.

Classic.
I really am against the idea of Al Bundy's great showcase of talent being "summarized" with the posting of a video, some short sentence, failing to outline the entire event, right below it. If you can't tell it yourself, you're not doing the man justice.

Dammit you took my words right out of my mouth. I still can't believe my mom let me watch this as a kid

Bah, when you're prodding somebody to tell a story, you don't provide all the details. That's the bait to get them started.
Anyway, in retrospect, Al Bundy is basically a much more successful Bill Dauterive.
Katey Sagel looks older in this than she does now
I always loved that Peggy wasn't that bad looking.
Well now
No one here thought of calling me ahead of time ? :getlost:
So glad there's finally a thread for this show.
No job is more enjoyable than selling women's shoes.
Still the two best scenes in the history of Married With Children in my eyes

And that's all I really have to contribute.
If I still had a T.V., this would be one of the few shows I'd still watch on basic television (along with Malcolm in the Middle and classic Simpsons).
I never liked Bud or understood what his contribution to the show was.
I thought the whole point of Married…With Children was simply to say "screw you" at the tiresome barrage of wholesome family sitcoms that had been plaguing major television networks throughout the 70's, 80's and early 90's and to show that real American families are more dysfunctional than we think. I also believe that the whole dysfunctional aspect of the show was what made it successful because that is what real American families can relate to.
But, hey, that's just the way I look at it. :ninja:
Bud was the predecessor of all the geeky virgings in 90 % of moden sitcoms.
The greatest thing about this show is its awesome cast. Of course, Ed ONeill as Al was the best of the best, but literally every main cast member can make me laugh with just a single face expression. Contrary to what many people say, the plots of the show weren
t bad either, actually sometimes really inventive and brilliant.
It`s amazing how good David Faustino and especially Christina Applegate were at such a young age already in the early seasons.
I really wanna get a no maam shirt.
Ha ha, one on my friend, gave me a no maam shirt :p. And yeah great show, that I can watch several time without any problems _
Yes it's a good show and i find it funny as well.
I like how some 7 seasons in, some exec said "Hey, you need to add a young kid into the cast, Bud and Kelly are getting too old"… and then they got rid of him like 2 episodes later with no real explanation aside from a single line.
Also getting around Katey's Sagal's pregnancy by making an entire season a dream sequence.
Yeah, that were not the best moments of the show:getlost: The annoying thing is that the new kid was in some pretty good episodes, but his whole presence is annoying enough to kinda ruin them.
Ugh, this show.
I always watched it as a kid. But I never really understood it. I mean, yeah, it has some great parts but… nah, I guess it's better if I keep my mouth shut.
I have a few friends (and an Ex) that liked to compare me to Peggy '>_> ....

:wassat: how can I make profit when I sell stuff to myself….
You can't :ninja:
That's precisely the point.

.. I.. I see.
So have I passed the test or not?
Yes, yes you have…...Peggy.
:ninja: .
Ahh the nostalgia. I remember seeing this with my family when I was little, I found it funny even though I didn't get all the jokes (because you know….they were adult ones) and even to this day it's still in reruns here in Sweden. Heck, i even watch it when i can in my gym for the fun of it, even though I've seen most of the episodes by now.
I always liked Buck for his acting skills (which i also liked of Eddie from Frasier) and related myself to Bud. Funny that when I was a kid I thought all that talk about sex was just violent hugs <.< (i remember that episode in which Bud had to have sex with a chick even he couldn't handle)
I don't know about you all but I prefered the later seasons (Aka. post-Jefferson) because of the cartoon slapstick humour.
One of my favorite episodes has got to be the one where Al made the deal with the devil (played by Robert Englund)
The show was huge in my family when I was a kid, everytime I turned around it was playing on the ol' tube. I watch it occasionally on TBS that airs like 4 episodes every weeknight at around 3am if I happen to be up and doing nothing else.
