2.) You are underestimating the handicap of being underwater. Impaired movement, no air to breath, can't use three sword (not that ti mattered here lol.)

It could be. The first time I seen it I thought it was from the Pacifista getting 1HKO but it might be from the CoA. I think that would be a better way of showing it's use instead of lengthening the attack names.

What if Vander Decken "threw" his giant? That would be a bit jarring. He might even be able to 'throw' his boat. I don't think the fight with Hodi is over. I'm hoping that we arn't going to have a Strawhats vs Jinbei but I think it might happen.

Oh, after rereading the chapter, I had more fun seeing Luffy take out Van Der Decken but Zoro is just darker(cooler) in that scene than Luffy, I allways have more fun seeing Luffy take out his opponents than when Zoro does it, Zoro just doesn't have as much character, it looked so simple I mean look at this thing http://www.mangareader.net/one-piece/618/18
For all we know Hodi just came charging into Zoro recklessly and Zoro just slashed, it would't really take that much effort I'd think…

I've said it before, but Zoro's scene was definitely more badass/unexpected/impressive but Luffy's was cooler/more entertaining to read. It's so nice to see techniques like GG no Hammer again, I hope Luffy will use more of the not so "direct" attacks in the future. Hopefully he's got some brand new stuff, too, maybe more wind-themed attacks? GG no Cyclone or Hurricane sounds badass. Maybe something like Rifle where he twists his arms, but with one or two legs instead? Or some attacks involving his hands and feet working together.

Completely agreed. I sometimes think that perhaps Luffy's fighting style becoming kinda stale was an intentional move by Oda, to showcase the huge boos the gears gave him and how they made it kinda unnecessary for him to develop new and creative moves. But with G2 possibility not giving as much of a boost as before and his opponents also having their own special moves it seems he'll have to go back to his previous, more creative fighting style.

But Caribou is a logia, so Sanji will need Haki.
Not saying he doesn't have haki, just the Manga hasn't stated he has haki.
Luffy defeated both Enel and Crocodile without haki so you need don't haki to beat every logia so Sanji might find a way without haki to win.
Only logia like Kizarus light logia and Enel if you were not a Rubber fruit user would be hard without haki.
also in the war they used sea stone cuffs on Ace to stop him using his powers so that is another option.

**Another thing I really missed is how Luffy used to do these weird movement. Like how against Wiper he dodged by leaning back but he ended up leaning back too far and had to do a one arm handstand followed by a punch. This chapter gave me some hope.

Yeah, the Wiper fight had some really neat stuff in it. I guess part of the problem was that G2 was so overwhelming for the most part, that even enemies on his level couldn't keep up with it - which was necessary, because if they actually could then Luffy could pretty much never beat them - but now that he can use it more freely, basically all the time without any kind of problem, the door's wide open to get in people who can completely keep up with it which will hopefully gives us more varied fights and techniques again.

**It's not even just the creativity, it's just actually seeing the movements. Kinda hard to explain. I always prefer pure physical fights to things like Usopp's or Nam's fights. Not that I mind how Usopp/Nami etc fight etc as that is still very entertaining, but sheer physical fights are just so much cooler. Actually seeing the complete movements Luffy makes, and the same goes for Zoro/Sanji, is just cool. Instead of all this "I can't even see the attack" stuff. Not that I mind them, but there's such a thing as too much. Hopefully there will be a more of a balance in the future.

I guess Oda seems to have settled on still keeping the Jet type moves invisible and "direct" when it comes to Pistol and the likes, but Hammer was still cool to see, and perhaps there will be less of dashing around like Lucci and more of what happened in this chapter. Let's hope so.

This guy knows what's going on! Sanji turning to stone was probably one of the least entertaining parts of the chapter to me, but I'm glad to hear you liked it. And yeah, I wouldn't call him GODA just yet, but wait until you see Sanji after Fishman Island is finished. I bet we'll see the reason that Oda focused on him so long. This'll take patience, for sure, but I hope to see you around when that happens in a year or two. I know you'll still be on ArlongPark. 
I'm hoping that sanji's cooking will improve by leaps and bounds after this.

And I am also quite sure about who will be the final boss of FI. I am betting on Luffy fighting Caribou and his brother Coribou both at the same time. Think about it: The combined bounty of Caribou and Coribou equal Luffy's bounty. Also, Caribou is a confirmed Logia, so the fight would show Luffy's improvement with Haki over this 2 years.And also it would be quite cool to have the Luffy beating the (Probably) top 1 new Supernova captains. Him beeing MIA make this even more plausible, since it could mean Oda wants us to forget about Caribou in order to surprise us later.

As far as we know, in all the island only Luffy would be able to stop him, since no other people has been confirmed as a Haki user and no weakness about the fruit has been revealed. What make you people think he will be so easy to deal withm that you consider him more an annoyement than a threat?

I wanna see what the other New Fishman Pirate officers are capable of. Fishmen are probably my favorite species in One Piece, and I want to enjoy this arc as long as possible. I expect to see some Energy Steroids in the next chapter. Or whenever they get back to Zoro v. Hordy.

Man, I can't say which was funnier, Decken getting rejected or Hodi getting owned.
Pretty much the only new fishman pirate I care about is Hyozou, and the rest can go get OHKO'ed for all I care because they are lame.
On a side note, anyone know where molokidan went off to? It's funny how most everyone (myself included) has always complained about his translations, but it seems clear now that his were still better than what we got this week. Well as the saying goes, things can always be worse, so I'm actually hoping he returns swiftly.
