On K-Fs recently released ep 157, the torrent on the site gives me an invalid torrent error and the thing doesn't work. I found a link to a working torrent in the IRC channel, but I think that was just meant to be an alternate link. Whats the problem with it?

Okay, goto:

When you download the torrent right mouse button and click "save as".
When the "save as" dialog box appears, the torrent's name appears to be "[K-F]One_Piece_157[A002DD4C].avi"
But that won't work. So rename the file to "[K-F]One_Piece_157[A002DD4C].torrent"

Yeah, I know all this. The alternate link in the channel was .avi at first and I changed it to .torrent even, and I have the ep through that, but. On K-F, their ep 157 is already a perfect .torrent file but it STILL gives the invalid torrent error. The reason I'm worried is in case this happens in future or if I need to re DL through K-F. Is anyone else getting this problem with the torrent file from K-F's normal tracker? >_>

the problem I believe has something to do with file associations on the webpage of K-F, this is out of my hands and yours, it'd be up to the webmaster of K-F to fix that, and since the webmaster is on vacation for maybe 4 more days, it won't be fixed till then I think. In the mean time, just right click save as, and it'll work.

Yeah everyone is complaining about the torrent.. I just downloaded it off the bots, worked fine. Nice ep too, the action finally started, somewhat atleast.

No, it doesn't work. at all. I did that. I did ALL of this, but it gives me invalid torrent. Whether its .avi, .torrent or .avi.torrent or saved as or just left clicked. It. Doesn't Work.
"Invalid Torrent. Would you like to delete this file?"
It works when taken from anywhere else, but this torrent from kaizoku-fansubs.com/torrent, no matter what, gives me that error. Its not to do with the extension problem u.u
I've got the file from somewhere else, and I can use bots too, but I NEED to be able to use it from k-f in future if I need to re dl
hell, it even recognises it as a duplicate of the working ver of the torrent I have, then comes up with the same error
edit - not just that, but the one from K-Fs tracker is 8 KB or so, and the one that works is 20 KB or so. could this have something to do with it?

If you check K-F's home page it "If anyone was having trouble downloading the torrent, it was because our site was full and the upload of the torrent kept getting cut off. It should work now."

I was spoiled by K-F's download rate of 150kbs (I have cable) and now lately it seems to be downloading at <20kbs. The torrents usually have the same number or seeders and leechers. Coukd this be part of that server problem?

I don't think so. most of the time i have 100-500ish but a couple of times it goes at abou 20
