Just finished volume 3 of Toriko. I was still on the fence after I finished volume 2 (even though I enjoyed myself more.) Now, after finishing volume 3 I finally have genuine interest in continuing on. I am enjoying it more and more but I still don't know if, when I catch up, I will hold it on par with the very best Shonen's I've read - or even hold it as highly as some on this thread. Regardless, I think it is becoming a very worthwhile read.

Just bought volume 4 (I'll prabably buy 1-3 online soon - they are not at my local BnN's). Looking forward to sinking my teeth into it later.
EDIT: After reading some of volume 4 I am reminded of how much better reading a tangible book is compared to reading on a computer. Toriko's art looks way better in print.

Ah, so it's the Straw Hats after two years in this crossover! For some reason when I tried to imagine these two manga hero's together I imagined Luffy as we've all seen him for 13 years. It doesn't feel like Luffy and the rest have been two years older for very long, but it was September, guess I'm not used to it though…
I wonder if this crossover will actually have a story to it instead of Cross Epoch where the characters had their own separate adventures and there wasn't a plot.
Also the woman in the commercial stills looks like she is being forced to smile through the entire commercial lol.

Iam curious how the charas of Toriko react to Nami and Robin.
So far they have encountered in their story maybe 2-3 woman(where also a granny was within), so seeing such beautiful woman may could tell us if they`re gay or not in the end, judged by their reaction.^^ -

I don't think Toriko is gay, but women aren't the #1 thing on his mind (like Sanji). I'm sure after Toriko completes his full-coarse menu and retires from the Gourmet Hunting business maybe he'll find a girl but like One Piece the Toriko won't focus on romance.

I don't think Toriko is gay either (not that there is anything wrong with that) but romance is obviously the last thing this series will delve into. So far, Rin is the only girl who has a major crush on Toriko but Toriko doesn't seem to take heed of that.

In two movies and once in the manga?
I still don't want to get why people complain about that in Movie 10. That was the most badass way to mess with the villian while being captured in my opinion. It's not like she just stood by and did nothing the whole time being useless.

Yeah, that's what I liked about Movie 10. She actually ended up working to undermine the villain's plan, and before that even succeeded in escaping on her own, and not simply hang around pining for the phallus-equipped hero to come to the rescue like the archtypical distressed damsel.
But honestly, I don't think we'll really have to worry about that with the crossover.
