In every chapter it always ends in a cliffhanger of some sort. Some of them a kind of blah and forgettable, but others are the ones where you wish next week would come sooner. What are your favourite cliff hangers?
Mine would be when Silvers Rayleigh was first introduced as Gold Roger's first mate. Also when Blackbeard showed up in the war

When Luffy was stuck between two buildings. Nothing to dramatic about it, I just fucking loved it. One of my favorite scenes. Got even better when he burst out of it

When luffy destroyed gates of Arlong park and asked "who's Arlong"
Several chapters in the war.
and of course last chapter before time skip.
The end of chapter 440 where Blackbeard sports his most evil smile ever and shouts out "I am darkness". Especially since I didn't believe Blackbeard had a Devil Fruit before that. And then the christmas break arrived, so we first found out what his "darkness" was 3 weeks later.
Also chapter 597 before the timeskip, again because of the long wait 'till the next chapter.
To make a truly good cliffhanger you also have to make your readers/viewers excited and curious for a long time. If you just resolve the cliffhanger two hours later, the excitement disappears too fast. That's why I like the cliffhangers of One Piece chapters just before a break the most.
It's a good cliffhanger right now I'd say.

When I was first watching the series with my girlfriend, I thought the situation at Sabaody was unbelievable. One couldn't have helped but wonder "How are they going to get out of this one?!"
Of course, the answer was "They don't…"

Hey, at least it's proof that Oda isn't totally unrealistic by pulling hyper miracles out of his ass like some shonen authors.

I collect One Piece volume since 2000, before online manga.. The most memorable cliff hanger that got me hooked on One Piece was the end of vol. 9..
Nami was crying, Luffy pass her his hat, and the gang of 4 gather for the showdown..
Then Luffy smashed into arlong park and ask for arlong..
Waited for more than 3 months for vol 10..
It was the coolest shit back then.. even if you reread it now it is still as cool..

It's not much of a cliff hanger because we know Luffy will become the pirate king, unless Oda wants to completly ruin One Piece

Says the guy who listed Luffy getting stuck between a couple of buildings as one of his favourite cliff hangers. Of course he was going to get unstuck, Luffy has to become Prate King. Unless Oda wants to kill Luffy off in the Aqua Laguna and thus completely ruin One Piece.
Luffy experiencing sorrow and self doubt was something we've never seen before, and as soon as those last two words were spoken the only thing thought I had was "Oh boy, how is Luffy going to get over this one?"
Because you can't punch sorrow my friend, and punching things is Luffy's number one problem solver.
True enough. As I said I just really liked that scene, even though I know very well its not a cliff hanger.
Same thing goes for your chosen scene amiright? We all knew Luffy would recover, the same way we knew he would get out of the buildings.
It's just the matter of how he did it which kept you (and I) wondering

See what I mean? Now that I think about it our favorite "cliff hangers" are very comparable. But at the same time… Not at all.

Definitely one of One Piece's best moments, and If I'm right, one of the scenes that inspired the Arlong Park site in the first place hence the name.
I'm not really a big fan of the guy, but I still thought it was pretty cool when Law showed up.
