According to spoilers and this link, on March 27th (possibly April 3rd because of the earthquake) there will be a new opening for one piece by the popular artist Amuro Namie, entitled "Fight together".
Self-proclaimed “Queen of Hip-Pop” Amuro Namie will be providing the opening theme song for the wildly popular manga and anime series, “ONE PIECE“.

"Although there are no plans for a release of the song yet, here’s what we do know: the song, titled “Fight Together“, will first hit the airwaves on a March 27th airing of the anime, and is expected to be an upbeat track.

When asked about the opportunity to sing for the anime, Amuro released a comment full of positivity and happiness: “I love ‘ONE PIECE’ as a comic and as an anime, I even read it when on tour. I’m honoured to be doing the theme song this time around."

I don't think Hip Hop fits One Piece, especially the Goa Arc, which was pretty dark. But yeah, Toei used Kaze wo Sagashite for Impel Down, they don't give a damn if it fits or not.

It sounds a little to electronic for One Piece. Sort of worried to hear the new ending.
"Brand New World", had some of the best lyrics and music, Crazy Rainbow Star was enjoyable music, and the original opening was really fitting of One Piece.

I really do hope Japan doesn't have any Nuclear issues due to the quake.

But I haven't paid too much attention to the schedules of the past as I've only been really caught up and watching the anime weekly since around two years ago. Opening 12 just felt like it lasted forever. lol

Anyway, yeah that isn't really my kind of music, but I'll wait and see.

! the only thing after the war is a flashbaack and them announcing the time skip which i doubt would be enough to make up a whole series so filler between them training and the time skip would fill in that gap

i am personally hoping that they do the cover stories finally. i really want to see them in anime style

Well… If we DO get a second anime from Toei (which is just speculation, nothing is confirmed) this should be the last opening for "One Piece".

Considering that the anime is most likely going to go into a bit of a filler span either before or after the flashback, I reckon this opening is going to be similar to Crazy Rainbow star.

Interesting, since its supposed to air on the episode that was gonna be broadcasted March 27th that would be Episode 492 ( unless the Toriko/One Piece special was gonna take ONE PIECE's slot for that week) which makes sense since Episode 492 following the One-chapter-per-episode route count would be chapter 582

Which leaves the anime with 15 manga chapters to adapt, because after those 15 chapters we got the
! timeskip..
And knowing Toei they are gonna make more of those 15 chapters, at least they have to complete the filler adventures of each of the Straw-Hats, as far as I recall each was in a cliff-hanger, no?
Anyway, the least number of episodes any OP opening has had was 14 with Brand New World But maybe that was because of the We Are Straw Hat version opening? but I can't see Toei making a new opening for just other 15 episodes..
This leads me to believe that the opening will be for around 20-30 episodes:
1.- Toei will use the usual 1-per-chapter route with the next 7 chapter's adaptation to the anime. 7 episodes.
2.- The next couple of chapters are gonna be handled kinda differently, i.e. the strawhat's parts are gonna get expanded, ending the filler story from each character. Probably taking 1/2 episode per character instead of just using the manga's 1 or 2 pages for each character. So I would say around 10-15 episodes.
3.- Finally, I am fairly sure too that there should be some kind of flashback, hopefully not many episodes, but a quick compilation of how the Straw Hats get to join the crew is almost a certainty…
If I recall correctly the Enies Lobby filler was 1/2 episode for every character except for Luffy and Nami which got an entire episode for themselves, but I could definetly see Toei using an entire episode per Straw Hat flashback.
So.. for flashbacks around 1 to 9 episodes.

And adding up the numbers its a low of 18 to high of 31 episodes, so probably around 26-27 episodes, that's just my estimate

As for the opening itself my guess is it will focus on what the Strawhats have been doing, have some moments with all of them together, probably flashbacks of how they meet, I would be happy to see Toei using the Wonderful Encounter color ilustration, of course animated (Kinda like how they have used some illustrations in other openings) because its one of my favorite color spreads ever, it captures the essence of ONE PIECE so well

Assuming we won't get another entire season of filler, which is not likely at all, unless they create a out-of-timeline filler a la BLEACH out of nowhere the next season is gonna be

! the time-skip!! and I would be very surprised if We are isn't used as the opening song for this.

I think that fillers are very possible but I hope they don't take place after the epsiode that corresponds with chapter 597 because I think an appropriate ending for that particular episode would be

! the scene where Luffy says he's done being a pirate for now and lays his hat on a tree. It would be kind of nice to have a pan out from the hat and have "We Are play in the background and then have a montage of some sort. Then cut to a preview of the first epiode of the new series.

asfor filler, toei sure knows how to get around it and even when they do , the longest running streak of fillers for one piece in a row was 131-143 , ever since if they put in filler it's been like 5 episodes max. before going back to manga material , and it kind of works for one piece.

my guess is there is a few filler episodes after the one piecextoriko special, than after the post war arc there will be a few more before starting you know what…

and i am quite positive it won't be a new series , the only reason naruto did that was because of the 85 filler episodes in a row.

You know those flashback panels that Oda did

! right before the timeskip where every Strawhat has some memories? Yeah, Toei are going to make episodes out of that, similar to the flashback episodes in Enies Lobby. But this time one episode for one Strawhat - they have to create bigger space between the anime and the manga, I mean the manga had this one month break, so they need to even that out. And if they do a shit load of filler/clip-show episodes now, we may have some episodes in the "new One Piece show" that are very well paced.
