24 Hour Podcast Fundraiser: Anime Fans Give Back to Japan

In the wake of this devastating earthquake and tsunami that hit Japan and the Pacific on March 10th, we will be holding a 24 hour marathon podcast in attempt to raise money for victims of this event. The One Piece Podcast along with Konoha Corner and the SSAA Podcast will be conducting the event. If you would like to donate in advance of the event, feel free. We hope to have many guests on to help promote the need to help those in Japan and the Pacific region.

The UStream live feed will be available to view on this website from 6:00PM on Saturday, March 19th through Sunday, March 20th at 6:00PM (all times eastern).

If you have any questions or would like to be on the podcast, send those inquires to OnePiecePodcast@gmail.com.

A schedule will be posted in a few days. There will be forty-eight half-hour blocks, some programs will run in more than one of those blocks.

I honestly really wish I could donate, but I am currently unemployed and have no money at all. And I feel terrible about it.

Do you think there's something else I can do to contribute to this cause that will help you guys? If you think of something, let me know. being unemployed, I do have a lot of time on my hands right now.

As much as I'd like to donate, as a college student, I don't have much control over finances, and my family isn't in the best state of situations. Also, I'm not sure if I can make it for the live stream, but it really depends on whether the end of the quarter will be heavy or not.

In any case, I fully support this podcast.

i really wish i could donate money but im a college student and dont have any to spare :sad: but imma talk to my boss at the H-E-B grocery store to start a food drive like we did for Haiti… for Haiti we raised 375,000 dollars on top of the 100,000 we donated and we shipped out thousands of crates of food and necessities to them... i'm almost certain we will do this for japan and i hope we do just a good if not better.

I was able to donate last night, tried watching from my ps3 but video/audio would play for 3-5 seconds then stop for 10-20 seconds. If I can get on the laptop later maybe it will run better. Hopefully sometime later it will be available for download in video or audio segments. Really wanted to be able to see it.

Ustream has stopped working for me. It forze for a fewm minutes, so I refreshed, and now it won't load at all.

Are you guys going to make this available later for download that way we can catch parts we missed?

It's been working pretty well on my computer, and I have a shitload of stuff on my computer. Clear everything on Firefox, make sure you don't have anything else running. Besides that it's mostly just your own internet that might be causing problem.
