Toriko and Sket Dance!!!!!!!
Hm, Steins;Gate and C look rather interesting (though the ''uber mysterious area'' simply being the financial district is rather funny). Sket Dance looks like something that'll put a big smile on my face.
I'm going to try Sket Dance since everyone said it was good. World God Only knows S2 is a given.
Most of the other stuff looks dumb, though.
Kaiji, Toriko, Sket Dance and Zexal.
I have high hopes for Toriko. Say what you will about Toei, at least they rarely omit or alter anything especially at the beginning. I'd watch Sket Dance JUST to hear Switch's computer voice. I'm wishing he sounds like a Japanese Stephen Hawking. Here's hoping Zexal will be good. Oh and Kaiji, HELLS YEAH!!!
I'm hesitant to watch the TWOGK anime because of how much they altered it from the manga. I don't mind Sket Dance since it's just random antics anyway but TWGOK has a nice flow of story and emotion that random filler would ruin in my opinion.

Sket Dance is a marvelous series. The flashbacks of all the individuals of the trio are all fantastic and some of the most moving stuff I ever read in jump.
I'm only going to be watching Gintama.
Kaiji, Showa monogatari and maybe Toriko if I have time.
I plan on only watching Blue Exorcist (Ao no Exorcist), Deadman Wonderland, Gintama 2011, X-Men Anime, and Yu-Gi-Oh! ZEXAL.
Hmm I'll probably try out Appleseed, Sekai-ichi Hatsukoi (at least for an episode or two because while I love me some man-slash, I'm not very into straight up romance stories) and maybe X-Men. Nothing else really interests me, right now, but I'm sure there'll be some pleasant surprises later on.
Sket dance, cool - definitly.
I'll check out the second season of MariaHolic as well, I like that one.
Deadman wonderland is a bit meh but I'll prob watch it anyway.
I can't wait for the Toriko anime. Even if it is censored (which is likely considering how bloody and badass the manga could get), it'll still probably be awesome. ALthough I think that description is pretty horrible in giving people an idea of what type of series Toriko is
I've heard good things about Sket Dance so I'll be checking that out (haven't read the manga obviously). Hmm, I think Toriko and Kaiji, too.
Ao no Exorcist and Zexal look interesting enough, so I'll probably try those as well.
I'll be checking out Toriko and Sket Dance for sure, since I love both of those series. Not sure if I'll manage to keep up with them(not much of an anime person) but I'll sure try if they're any good.
Prolly going to watch Toriko weekly and dl Kaiji once it's finished.
WHERE'S THE GiNTAMA LOVE!??? HUH!!? HUHH!? Oi! YES YOU! WATCH IT!
Toriko and Kaiji for me hands down!
And I'll probably get around to Sket Dance but I still want to check out the manga first.
Toriko is bound to be awesome. Colorful characters, flashy battles and marvelous foods…animated!? I can't wait!
And I'll certainly be watching season two of The World God Only Knows. Kaiji...maybe. The manga was very entertaining, but slow. If the anime is any slower...that would just be impossible.
I find that Kaiji's slow pace works great for its psychological conflicts. It really helps keep the viewer at the edge of their seats.
And Kaiji's blatant use of over-the-top name calling has practically become a meme.
x-men? I thought blade was next to be anime-ted. That got pushed back?
Any way Zexal, Dororo-Enma and Electormagnetic Wave Woman and Adolescent Man (o_- Really? Their not even trying with these names anymore are they?) look the most interesting to me. I might check on Toriko just to see what all the hype about.
Can't wait for Toriko! Also looking forward to Ao no Exorcist and Deadman Wonderland. I haven't been following those mangas for a while and this'll be a good way to get back into it. Probably gonna try Sket Dance as well.
On a related note, they had a survey for the most anticipated animes this spring:
I was kinda surprised how low Toriko was on that list.
Toriko!!!!!
An possibly:
Sket Dance, Ao no Exorcist

I find it funny how low Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal is!
Seriously?! So little Gintama love?!
Looks like i'll be enjoying Toriko and Gintama this time!
EDIT:
haha, looks like Gintama is first on that list!
You guys should definitely check it out. Since the series are pretty much random comedy, it's easier to follow!
I don't watch much anime at all, but I will be watching Toriko. And probably Gintama and Sket Dance, maybe.
and then after the season is done, I might marathon God Only Knows, if I remember.
I see a couple I might be interested in, namely Toriko, but for the most part nothing really interests me. Still if any of it airs on the Funimation video portal I might just give it a try regardless.
Thanks for the list. :D
I have a long list for this season of what I'm looking to pick up.
Sket Dance
[C]
Gintama
Deadman Wonderland
Steins;Gate
Kaiji S2
Aoi no Excorcist
Toriko
Should be a good season.
Toriko is criminally low on that list, which is even more surprising given this is a japanese list. I'm guessing Toriko fans must not be too interested in Anime, or the average anime watcher not interested in the pure manliness that is Toriko
Toriko is in 22nd place?
Well, at least it isn't in the bottom half. I'm sure hoping that the crossover special with the cast of One Piece will be enough to get people watching. Toei is really going all out with this license. I'd hate to see it flop.
Anime I'll Watch: Kaiji, Showa Story, Koe de Oshigoto!
Anime I'll Try: Steins;Gate, Electromagnetic Wave Woman & Adolescent Man (wtf), Under the Innocent Sky, C
Anime I'll Troll: Everyday Life (wtf?), TWGOK
…
UtIS is a visual novel adaption like S;G, but unlike S;G I don't have any experience with the company or know anything about this title, so it's an unknown quantity. I'm going to watch a few episodes of S;G just to see if it's not a thoroughly retarded adaption like Chaos;Head.
Showa Story promises something different, so I'm willing to take it up on that, especially since 1964 is the same year Akagi battled Washizu, so it's an interesting year for me. Koe de Oshigoto is like Bakuman for eroge CV's, without the insipid Shueisha propaganda. It's unfortunately, but not unreasonably, filled with some graphic "imagination" scenes, though I'm willing to pardon them as this is apparently a rather honest title about eroge work.
I'll try C and the newest SHAFT title. Who knows how they'll end up.
Guys, don't worry if "Toriko" is not that high on the list, I don't think that survey takes into account the general population of Japan.

Yeah. It doesn't seem to take into account the younger crowd I think. Otherwise, Yu-Gi-Oh would've scored higher honestly.
@HiroVoid:
I find it funny how low Yu-Gi-Oh Zexal is!
Coming out of 5D's, which had a much more relatable cast in terms of age (around 18-20), many older fans are already hating on ZeXal.
I myself and going to try it before judging it completely. The plot sounds like it could be pretty good.
Online polls are going to heavily favour Japanese girls and otaku, Japanese boys are rarely seen voting in that sort of thing.
I forgot about Toriko and ZeXal. I read 20 chapters of Toriko and didn't really get the appeal, though I'll probably continue with the manga someday. Trying the anime after the poor reception of BL's isn't likely, since I have an even lower opinion of Toei than I do of Pierrot.
ZeXal is a wait-n'-see. All road-signs say it's going to be terrible (card games with scouters), but you never know, right?

If you didn't love the start I really doubt you're ever going to like Toriko.
Going to watch: Kaiji, Appleseed, Deadman Wonderland, C, tea for Universe/Life, Moshidora, Everyday Life, BL: Roberta OVA, Koe de Oshigoto, Nana to Kaoru, Electromagnetic Wave…you get the rest (just call it Denpa)
Unsure: SteinsGate, Toriko, Ao no Exorcist, HotD OVA
Going to "watch"/make fun of: Lotte, Kämpfer
The quality of 2011 anime has been amazing so far. This season will be awesome.

I had a feeling about that.
Frankly, I didn't see what was so special about it…it reminded me of Beelzebub in some ways, but my impression about the praise this forum has given it mostly in comparison to Bleach and Naruto.
That is, the readers know Naruto and Bleach are bad, and OP is good, but can't really rank stuff like Toriko or BL in a meaningful way. Actually, that's a good idea for a topic.

CARD GAMES ON MOTORCYCLES!
Definitely Toriko and Deadman Wonderland. Maybe Gintama and Sket Dance. We'll see.
I really think you should give Toriko another try, Malinex. The series has some great art, and the author is really creative when it comes to settings. They're all food based, but he always has some very unique and creative ideas. I'd even go as far as comparing it to One Piece in the sense that there's a ton of depth that he puts into the world; each location is actually unique in its own way. That takes a lot of effort.

I don't know about One Piece level, but I've only read around 50-something chapters so far. You can definitely tell that the mangaka puts in a lot of effort and love into the series though.
why does One Piece never get in here?

It's not bad, don't get me wrong. But this level of quality is what I expect out of a shounen manga, like what I'd expected out of OP, Jojo or Detective Conan. I might say I came in looking for a Death Note kind of unexpected experience.
That's why I felt a lot of the hype came through comparison with Naruto and Bleach, which are terrible manga. If Toriko is good, it looks god-like in comparison to those two.
Or maybe it just isn't to your taste. For people who actually like shonen and its style, its extremely good. I've read a lot of manga and watched quite a bit of anime, and Toriko is probably my fourth favorite after One Piece, Berserk, and Full Metal Alchemist. Toriko is shonen, but its damn good shonen. Its better IMO than many of the parts of Naruto back when it was still good. I hate it when people assume something only got its hype by being compared to something worse just because it isn't to their taste. For the same reason, I don't like it if people might say One Piece sucks because it is too strange. Not liking it for that reason is fine, but not liking something and thinking its horrible are too different things, as not liking can be a matter of taste
Gintama, Deadman Wonderland, Toriko, Kaiji Season 2 and maybe Maria Holic Alive.
I will check out the other series if I hear positive stuff about them but otherwise it's mainly those.
So psyched for Gintama. It's the only anime I watch anymore.
The anime on that list that everyone truly can't wait to watch is Lotte's Toy. Go on, admit it.
@Davy:
why does One Piece never get in here?
Because it's been going since 1999. This is for new series or sequels. If One Piece truly does become a second anime after "that certain event that would be spoily here" then it'll be on one of these.
Am I and the other 3 or 4 people the only one who's excited for [C] in here or what?

Seems like it. I don't get why most of the guys here are so excited over Shounen adaptions only. Most of them suck anyway, it is already very fortunate that we have Gintama, DW, Toriko and AnE in one season.
Finally…some Gintama Love.

Yeah, the most posts in this thread are only "OMG GINTAMA, SKET DANCE, TORIKO, YAY XDDD". It's like anime with typical shonen art style are the only ones that matter.
There is one post that say "Most of the other stuff looks dumb" in this thread without wanting to even try the other shows first.
It's sad, really. I know this is a forum about a popular shonen mainstream manga, and thus most people would only care about those kind of stuffs, but would it hurt to expand your taste? Like, seriously? Most light-novels based anime and the original ones are worth watching. And the ones in other demographics besides shonen such as seinen, josei, and shoujou are pretty good too. Battle and Gag/Comedy aren't the only genres there are.
