Just got this message from Chrome:

"apforums.net contains content from www.fileden.com, a site known to distribute malware. Your computer might catch a virus if you visit this site.
Google has found malicious software may be installed onto your computer if you proceed. If you've visited this site in the past or you trust this site, it's possible that it has just recently been compromised by a hacker. You should not proceed, and perhaps try again tomorrow or go somewhere else."

Could be nothing, but just wanted the powers that be to know what's what.

Just use a mac, that way it doesn't matter if you get malware viruses.

So, today whenever I start to open some threads, a malware warning pops up. i have a mac and im using google chrome, so its pretty reliable. It says that theres malware from fileden. I dont wanna go to certain threads because thats where the message shows up. i just wanted everyone especially the admins to know about this…..

I use Chrome religiously, and I'm on these forums very frequently. This has never happened to me in the past ever, let alone on this website. Granted, it might be a common thing, but if this is happening to multiple people, something might be up.

whenever I reply to certain users or go into threads that those same certain users are in, it does this. Maybe they have viruses?

Fileden.com is apparently a free file hosting service, so it's possible that someone just linked a file hosted there and google found the link while crawling the forum.

I doubt there's anything to worry about. We don't have ads, and the pages a user has served up don't load any scripting content, so there would be no way for them to even get a virus or malware outside of a user posting a script, which should also not be possible, as we don't allow html or scripting. At best, an image hosting site or file hosting site, like we are seeing, has been flagged as dangerous by Google, and that particular page with the link was flagged by Google. In any case, the forums are running on a linux/unix server, so viruses shouldn't really even be a concern.

In any event, the admins are doing a virus scan and looking into it all the same.

Opera is love. I use both Opera and FF and they are simply perfection together~
