Nobody is going to agree to that.
@Bond:
I guess I'd say Hard Rock and Swing.
Just found this, figured I would show it to you:

When there is no Reggae or Ska option in the Music Like thread, we call it madness.
When there is no Reggae or Ska option in the Music Hate thread, I call it gladness.
After all, no mon does hate on reggae.
You know, I've never heard any meaningful combination of country and metal before. Oh, sure, there's been a stoner band with a bluegrass break here and a banjo-bouncing black metal band there, but the elements don't mix. They just stare awkwardly at each other from across the room like it was a mandatory middle school dance. Come on, metalheads, turn that Wille Nelson up to eleven! Country folk, let your hair down and rock out your inner Dio! This is a call to action!
Give me a metal version of Wabash Cannonball already
I hate Country and Metal.
Cyan can help you with country, but what do you hate about metal?

Uhm, that's a bot your talking to I think. :I
Dunno how anyone can hate country though. It's awesome!
To be honest, I prefer music that isnt genre specific, so I cant really answer the first half.As far as popular music goes, my personal preference is older classical pieces up until the early 70s, depending on the artist.
Metal music kinda sucks and judging by the poll results, you people need to listen to some better country.
Coming back to this thread made me realize that I was wrong when I said the electronic music is just not for me. It was really due my ignorance, or lack of knowledge. I thought it was lie disco music (oh god, was I wrong on so many levels).
So I don't hate electronic music. In fact, I can't say I hate any music genre. I don't love them all per se, but neither do I dislike any of them.
Ok, maybe disco music, which goes like "wubwubwubwubwuwuwuwub" for the whole track without anything else in it…

Disco that goes "wub"? Either I haven't listened to all the disco, unlikely, but possible I guess… Or we have different definitions of "wub". :P Could you give an example of a "wub"-disco song? :)

Oh yeah, I think I misused something there. I'm not sure I can find any examples, but I'll try.
Basically, I didn't mean dubstep/disco, but rather the music that is played in cheap discos (hence why I named it disco-music probably incorrectly).
It's so hard to explain. In Hungarian, we just call is "tuc-tuc" music, but that doesn't really work in English. In a few words, it lacks imaginations, and the same 3-4 beats repeat over and over again, without singing and such.
–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Maybe this.
!
Even though it's obviously more than just 4 beats, but still, it's a little boring to me.
I've heard worse songs, mind you, I just can't find those.
I think maybe disco is the wrong word that you're using. Disco was like in the 70s or something, I don't even think any is made anymore. Are you just talking in general about club music? I know in Europe a lot of things that in the US would be called clubs are called discotecs or something .

Oh yeah, I think that's the right word. Club music. Yep, they're called "discos" over here.

Haha, okay I think I understand. :) Dj Tiësto makes electronic music. Disco aren't always electronic, even though it usually relies quite heavily on synths and such. There's a sub-genre of disco that's even more heavy on the electronica called Italo Disco. (It's awesome).
Here's an example of disco music just because:

Hehehe~
I get it now though. Sorry for the misunderstanding.

I admit, this sound pretty good!
I usually just listen to whatever appeals to me, regardless of genre~ So I don't disagree with you, nor do I agree ;D

Haha. :) I'm pretty much the same. Although I do try to listen to genres I'm not that familiar with or I dislike… I used to hate a genre here in Sweden called "dansband"(dance-band). I haven't found that much good music in it but there are some... Like this:

Pop and Hip-hop.
I actually liked the late 1970s 1980-1990s hip-hop and old school rap. Especially Biz Markie, Tupac, Melle Mel. Somehow i cant stand the current ones. Mostly due to the lyrics. The "niggas" and the "motherfukas"…Honestly...
Please recommend me some hip-hop artists which have something worth listening.

90's were prime beyond question though tru
they blasted "hyfr" at the gym today. i started rapping along while working out, lol.
HELL YEAH HELL YEAH HELL YEAH FUCKING RIGHT FUCKING RIGHT ALRIGHT
It's not that I don't find pop revolting or anything .. its just that I don't respect the fact that its not genuine. Sure each genre has its artist that try to just "recreate from the formula", but that's never the foundation of the genre. For pop following the formula IS the foundation. I just can't vibe to that. Formula is the death of a genre.

I know I made the poll, but Pop really isn't a genre. It's a term that covers such a huge scope of things, including large parts of the actual genres I listed.
I don't really understand the hatred "Pop" gets when that can cover everything from The Beatles to Kesha.
Plenty of "Pop" is about taking risks. As much as Rock or Jazz or anything else.

Many people associate Pop with boy bands and electronic music that expresses nonsensical(I know this isn't the appropriate word, but the word I'm looking for is not coming into my head) verses: "Starships were meant to fly". Today, many would classify the Beatles as Rock and Roll, but artist like Backstreet Boys will probably always be labeled as Pop.
As far as what I define as pop I just don't feel like there's any "soul" in it; as if it weren't human. Rock, Jazz, Hip Hop… they all feel so organic and raw.
Pop on the other hand feels manufactured. It's as if it were an Android: looks human and talks human, but can never truly be human. After all, most pop songs are created not off of expression, but are formulated to be catchy enough. Even Kendrick Lamar admitted this when he was quoting Drake in the song Buried Alive "Woman are like the wine tasters to our music".
Does St Vincent count as pop? I love St Vincent. Though like Monkey King said, it's not really a genre, it's pretty much popular music of any given time.
But there are a lot of pop bands that aren't popular. It has become a genre in its own way.
I hate Country music. I like a variety of genres but country will never be one of them.

I think bluegrass counts as country. Try listening to some of it.

Or even some folky music. Here's something I just recently found that I love.
And something more stuff

It's a genre with a near 100-year history, there's got to be _something_ you'd like out of it.
I also voted for country (way back when I voted on this poll), but I admit I was really thinking of more mainstream country when I voted. Alternative country is much more enjoyable for me.
For example,
Music
I really enjoyed all of this.
Like Cyan said, country has a long history. There's a lot of stuff in there. Just gotta give it a chance, and you'll surely find something.
