Not to mention that there's plenty of death and black metal (black metal at least, it might be harder to find death metal like this) that talks about nature and stuff like that.
Agalloch is a great example of this. They're actually a Progressive Metal band with Folk and Black Metal influences, but they're amazing, and very atmospheric. If you haven't tried them, check out Falling Snow, Limbs, and Not Unlike the Waves.
To stay on topic, I didn't vote because I like artists from all the genres above, except Country, and Soul, with which I'm not familiar, and I'm getting into Jazz right now. I do however hate Pop and Hip hop from my country. All mainstream songs from my country are really dumb, with silly lyrics, that it's impossible to take them seriously.
On the Metal topic, I was a hardcore metalhead not some 2 years ago, where I didn't listen to anything but extreme metal. Now I'm more into Experimental and Funky stuff. I do listen to some extreme metal occasionally, but I get bored with it quickly, except Strapping Young Lad (anything done by Devin Townsend is amazing). I don't mind the harsh vocals, they fit with the music.
Right now I'm really into Experimental, Progressive and Weird music, as atonal as it may sound, I still enjoy it, that's why I'm into Noise music, which a lot of people don't even consider music.
This may not be the right topic, but do you guys have any good Jazz suggestions, I'm not sure where to start.
