zachri, how did my latest post make u think of ur latest post?
I don't even know.
You mentioned lil people like in Gulliver's Travels.
Then I imagined the lil peeps in Capone's body who can actually turn back to normal size once they exit.
Throughout this month, we will be testing new features (like search) so you may experience some hiccups from time to time. We'll try to not be too disruptive...

Yeah, it serves all the parallels: A "forbidden" fruit that seduces the eater (with great powers).
Once it gets eaten the eater is "doomed", cause he can't swim anymore in a world which is covered with lets say 80% water at the least.
And yet we already heard of a tree of Adam and a tree of Eve.
It only depends on time until we'll hear of a Serpent's tree.
Though this doesn't have to mean that there is only one tree of DFs.–- Update From New Post Merge ---
Though I like the theory of Kaidou being a dwarf, it can't be, cause Kaidou is Franky's dad (IMO). And if Kaidou was a dwarf, Moria would have stomped on him with his gigantic flatfeet.
A few months ago I wanted to draw/write a lil fanfic bout how Moria lost his crewmates to Kaidou. I wanted to use the info we have yet and put in some of my thoughts.
I had also a similar idea of Kaidou's ability that turns living things into cyborganic/mecha stuff. In the end of TB Moria said that if his crewmates have been dead in the first place, he wouldn't have lost them (to Kaidou?).
BTW I still have sketches of how Moria's former crewmates might have looked like. I'll maybe post them in the next time.
Unfortunately I don't have the time right now to draw the fanfic, but maybe I'll write a short summary of what I imagined so far. I am sure once Kaidou is introduced, we'll get to know how Moria lost his nakamas.
Gekko could flatten a lot of people with his giant size, doesn't mean he can; because he gets owned by those smaller than him (i.e. Jinbe) more often than not. Size =/= strength
Kaido(u) being a dwarf isn't that farfetched to be honest, in fact, everything I seen of him and his crew–which isn't a lot, I'll be the first to admit--helps the dwarf theory. And a dwarf, in the 'One Piece' sense, may be like Capone; he's quite...small. Also…haven't you seen STAR WARS! "Judge me by my size, do you...?" - Jedi Master Yoda
@Law:
(…)
more like the tree of the devil because they're devil fruits or the forbidden tree because they are cursed fruits.
Since in original they're called "Akuma No Mi" we don't know which name Oda will use for that tree, but you too see the parallels between the legend of creation and the trees Oda has used already and the tree he might use in the future, don't u?
Oda sure got inspired from tales like Münchhausen or Gulliver's travel. Once there was a user here who stated similarities between BB's crew and persons from Münchhausen's tale (Van Auger, …).

Don't get me wrong, I am not the person who judges someone by his/her size.
And I'd totally go with a Kaidou as big as - like u said - Capone.
I just doubt Oda will use dwarves like how they are shown in LotR. If he shows dwarves, they'll be as small as smurfs or other tiny fabulous beings and which pirate would take a Yonkou seriously who can be crushed by a foot stomp.
Know what I mean?

Adam Tree and Eve Tree + the devil fruits =:ninja: me automatically thinking Satan Tree
But its Lucifer that appears in the christian bible so maybe the Devil Fruits come from the Lucifer Tree
Um, I aways thought that each fruit had its own tree? Wouldn't it be a little apocalyptic if all the fruits reappeared on the same tree and someone found that tree by chance?

Don't you mean: "Wouldn't that be the climax of the series? When Blackbeard finds the tree, and consumes all the fruit on it?"
Oh yeah.
Who thinks everyone would DEFINITELY be screwed if Blackbeard got his hands on the Supernova abilities?
Especially Laws?
o______o
what if Blackbeard knows someone from Law's past and sent them to fetch Law for him?
Yeah but that's not GuerrillaFightingStyle meant when he said one piece had the power to turn the world upside down. He meant the one piece's ability itself.
yeah i would be able to agree with katzztar when he says
By the way of inspiring more pirates to search for it, by inspiring more people to become pirates, that is how the One Piece has the power to turn the world unside down.
_ that the inspiration makes the idea of one piece turn the world upside down.
but still since we dont know exactly what one piece is we cant tell what it does or doesn't do. Ifs its a place or an object ;even if its an idea. For all we know one piece could be an ancient weapon that we havent yet heard of we still have to little information but i said it because this is the "_Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread". Just random theory idea !
I don't think an earth (rock) Logia Devil Fruit would be boring at all, especially if done correctly. Earth is a very mighty element, with, dare I say, the strongest natural defense–and possibly, the strongest natural offense--out of the 4 elements. I could easily see Kaido(u) with such a Devil Fruit; like I said in an earlier post. (Heck...maybe even Commander-in-Chief Kong; he's built like the Earth afterall).
I like the "third tree theory"! Maybe it should be called "Tree of Lilith" (I think that mostly because watching NGE broke my sanity in childhood) More likely it's Tree of Serpent and its on Raftel. Fruits fall from the tree into all blue and that's how they get everywhere
yeah i would be able to agree with katzztar when he says

I like that, counds catchy, same as "Tree of Lucifer"
I'm glad u like the 3rd tree theory, it doesn't matter how it is called or how many trees there are (though I like the "only one tree on Raftel"-thing).
But since we got an Adam tree and an Eve tree there should be a 3rd one that represents the "seduction by the serpent" and holds the DFs on it.
And IDK if u have the same feeling, but ever since Luffy trained with Ray, Oda seems to spit out Logias like it is nothing (mud, gas).
Still I hope he keeps the air logia for dragon.
I just remembered,a while ago a user by the name of Airflow stated that there wasn't a solid logia, I guess he/she forgot about Aokiji.
@The:
Don't you mean: "Wouldn't that be the climax of the series? When Blackbeard finds the tree, and consumes all the fruit on it?"
It would be awesome if this happened,
and Blackbeard was essentially bested by his own lust for power, unable to control all of the DFs at once.
zachri, between us Law-fans from the start, who do u think is the unknown guy who knows Law from the past?
IMO it might be Joker, a completely unknown guy (or the guy Dofla talked to after Moria fled - obviously with Absalom) or even Kaidou, but that would be way too early for him to appear (though we never know what Oda pulls off, remember @ TB when Kuma came out of nowhere!).
I doubt it's Vegapunk, that lower body doesn't look "nerdy" enough to display Vegapunk.
What speaks against Joker is the fact that Law only might knew him since he joint the Shichibukai. The unknown guy seems to know Law from way earlier!
Psst –- Just a note, I'm female

oh so sorry but noted wont happen again
and the "tree of lucifer" i really find that name catchy
seems really sinister haha

Isn't that would be kinda repetitive? We already have that happened with Moria… Who knows maybe he'll consume many more fruits but keeps control. And then entire strawhat crew will defeat him (like ironic reflection of what he's done at war)
I really think that the mysterious man at the end of the most recent chapter may be Vegapunk, and that Vegapunk is the person who mentored T. Law in science and medicine. (Or on the darker side, T. Law was once a slave of Vegapunk, and escaped from Vegapunk's clutches at some point). If not Vegapunk, it's an entirely new character.
I then ask myself: "Why would Vegapunk be on Punk Hazard, when, CC, a person who practically despises him is centered there?" I then remind myself: "Wait… One Piece is a manga/anime series, stuff like that happens a lot!". I just don't know... But, I really think it could be Vegapunk (for the reasons listed above; and more, listed by others).
In addition, check out Law's ship, it's a friggin' submarine?! Seems more advanced than the majority of the wooden ships in OP!
Why must Vegapunk and CC be working together? No one ever thought of the possibility that CC does not know of Vegapunk's presence in Punk Hazard? Assuming the guy is Vegapunk.
In addition, check out Law's ship, it's a friggin' submarine?! Seems more advanced than the majority of the wooden ships in OP!
Also Wapol was able to build/own an "submarine", so even when Laws ship is way more advanced, that shouldn
t be a hint.
Do you think there might be a connection between Luffy not being able to swim(before he ate the rubber fruit) and that a devil fruit takes away the user's ability to swim. When Oda began the series he had the ending planned and probably the explanation of devil fruits and i think(I am not sure about this) he only planned on Luffy having the one and only devil fruit. Does this make any sense?

Not sure if I understand what you're asking…
Oda always had planned for the devil fruit to take away a person's ability to swim. back in his first version of this, the first Romance Dawn, instead of various devil fruits, Oda had only one, the Gum-Gum tree and Luffy ate it. He kept it when he finally stated the series and made the devil fruits more varied, they all had that weakness.
Since Oda was going to have Luffy with the power, he made him not able to swim from the start...more laughs for when shanks teased him in the first chapter.
Luffy was ment to never be able to swim.

I thought that that might would come up… which was why I added the "wooden ships" .. look at Wapol's ship in comparison to Law's... then tell me which ship looks more advanced .. my opinion is without a doubt Law's...
can't wait for the conclusion..
(I don't think that CC knows that Vegapunk is on the island..)

One piece has a big theme of inherited will and especially with people with D's. I thought that maybe for example someone with a D created the devil fruits in the void century who had a weakness for water which manifested in the fruits and luffy could have inherited his will.
Having a main character whose "weakness" is water to eat mysterious fruit that gives you power but makes you weak in water was kinda fishy but when I think about it it's just ridiculous
I got a theory for you guys
It's on Shanks.
First off, what is his name? Red Haired Shanks? Is that all? His full name hasn't been announced yet only his nickname similar to Whitebeard's real name being Edward Newgate.
Shanks' real name I'm guessing has a D. in it just like Gol D. Roger, Marshall D. Teach, Monkey D. Luffy, Monkey D. Dragon, Portgas D. Ace, etc.
Seeing as he is a freaking crazy pirate and one of the Yonkou, I think his full name having a D. in it will have some relevance to the story later on in which the Will of D. is explained.

reading this makes me think the raftel or an important part of the story has to do with underwater/being in water and not being able to swim. I find it very interesting that the negative of eating a devil fruit makes it so you become a hammer.

just thought i'd point out : Silvers "dark king" Rayleigh. No D. in there either, and he's a haki master as well. I wouldn't mind if Shanks did have it, but it's still supposed to be something fairly rare (like CoC) and we've seen there's no real connection between the will of D and CoC.
I'm pretty sure the Will of D is something seperate - a Bloodline thing that requires someone of that descent to activate a Checkov's Gun or MacGuffin.
There was a theory that has been thrown around I think it originated with Greg but don't quote me - On one of the covers Luffy is shown to have wings - which may have been a hint that Luffy is a descendant of 1 of the 3 winged races in One Piece. The theory continues that the D is meant to represent a Half Moon.
I'd link the post which explains it far better but I'm at work.
My crazy theories: The D represents a smile. Joy Boy was the first D, but while he was active, the title/name didn't properly exist yet. When Disco was calling Doflamingo for help about his auction house, Doflamingo said that slaves were out, and "smiles" were in. I think he was talking about the D family, which were coming together in a violent clash during the Whitebeard War, and that he plans to follow the ones that came to the forefront. In this case, Blackbeard and Luffy.
The invitation to be a Shichibukai wasn't for Buggy, but for Alvida, whose Fruit actually does make her as roughly untouchable as the other Warlords. While Buggy was captive, she was running the crew, and I'm willing to bet that she did a pretty good job at it. So, the Marines did some digging around and they found out that although the crew is named after Buggy, it's ALVIDA that seems to be the heavy hitter and real brains behind it all. Just like how Jinbe got a letter, but Tiger never did.
Finally, Law became a Shichibukai because the Government captured his crew. They did this, because he took the former Celestial Dragon slave, Jambarl into his ranks. Law became a Warlord in an attempt to buy back their freedom, but they demanded a number of heavy tolls from him. Among other things, they wanted his heart (which is how they directly control/threaten him now), and for him to kill one of the Emperors. The WG is a lot more careful about who they allow to become a Warlord, after Crocodile tried to overthrow a member nation, Jinbe betrayed them to fight for his pirate-allies, Blackbeard betrayed them to gather as much power as possible, and… well, Hancock, Moria, and Mihawk were barely controllable to begin with. Kuma ACTED loyal, but he had all sorts of hidden agendas. A little extra insurance isn't a bad idea.

I always thought this was true, ever since it was revealed that "they all die with a smile"… In contrast to characters like Whitebeard and Noland. Thanks for bringing it up. I wonder if Blackbeard will die with a smile, or if he will break the pattern (effectively proving Whitebeard's words: "you're not the one Roger was waiting for").
Finally, Law became a Shichibukai because the Government captured his crew. They did this, because he took the former Celestial Dragon slave, Jambarl into his ranks.
Pretty much my theory, too. Which is why the Tenryūbito may have gotten involved.
what if the mystery man is just part of big mams crew like baron tamago and pekoms how they get fishman islands candy payments he gets sent to punk hazard to check up on the progress of what is to be Big mams new oars like crew members so she can be pirate queen, and sought of on that whitebeard didn't want to be pirate king he just wanted family so what if anything do the others want because they obviously havent found one piece I know blackbeard wants it, shanks probably just want freedom piracy gives him and his hat back , and big mam just sweets? idk
Just like how Jinbe got a letter, but Tiger never did.
Didn't Jinbei receive the invitation AFTER Tiger died? When Jinbei took over the Sun pirates and gained a lot of reputation?
I have a strong feeling that the Yonko Law and Luffy discussed was Kaido.

Vegapunk will have a Devil Fruit, that, allows him to absorb/mimic other Devil Fruit. Said Devil Fruit will be concentrated around one of his arms, which, he uses to absorb/mimic other Devil Fruit.
1. Vegapunk touches the Devil Fruit user with the arm his Devil Fruit is concentrated on.
2. Then, with said arm, Vegapunk mimics the power he just absorbed; but only from the single arm.
3. Vegapunk keeps the Devil Fruit power.
4. The true user of the Devil Fruit power he absorbs can still use their Devil Fruit.
5. Vegapunk WILL have some degree of Haki.
I have a strong feeling that the Yonko Law and Luffy discussed was Kaido.
That would mean that Drake, Law and Luffy are involved with the same Emperor. Seems unlikely to me.

Weren't all of them killed at Blackbeard's "audition"?
Naw, a large number escaped though the government covered it up. This was one of the primary reasons that Sengoku retired as Fleet Admiral, he felt like the government was ignoring the common people hence his big outburst when Brandnew told him the news.

I feel that CC was a level 6 prisoner, his devil fruit probably allowed him to escape ID.
Monet is probably just the female sidekick nearly every boss in one piece has, I don't think she'll appear again significantly after this arc if CC was defeated.

Uh uh, stone-stone fruit. Seastone included. Logia type. And law fell to the ground from small amounts he released into the air!
Or its just haki.

Pulling for a grill based fruit, REALLY pulling for zachri's velcro idea, just because it would take this really serious character and make him into a really serious character with a silly fruit.
I wonder how dangerous a Velcro fruit would actually be…
Obviously, it would be thwarted by characters like Zoro, Brook, Nami, and Usopp...
But Luffy, Sanji, and Chopper would all be in hot water. Attack once, and you can't attack again.

Also able to stick things together - it could be quite imaginative to be honest.
Doflamingo is the boss of Welgo and Monet; calling it now.
