I'd like to add to my theory that the Kouzuki symbol has a little sun. :) And so does Luffy's kimono.
Theories That Don't Deserve Their Own Thread v.2
-
-
That is anice theory. I think that the island or place where the fishmen will end on living will definetely be a plot line, though I haven't seen anything pointing it to be Wano right now
Well, Jimbei had a kinship with Ace, and Ace is also connected to Wano, so it's all intertwined in one way or another.
-
My Random Theories or more of a dumb predictions
Kozuki Hiyori is Perona or Jewelry Bonney.
Perona's epithet is "Ghost Princess" while Bonney is "Big Eater". Both connected to Wano.
Perona was with Gekko Moriah who was defeated by Kaido. Maybe the reason he joined Moriah is because they shared the same fate. Moriah lost all his friends so I don't think Perona asked him to fight Kaido but rather joined him after his defeat and promised to him a revenge when the "time" come. Perona is with Mihawk right now… a swordsman. He was with Zoro too... a swordsman. Perona also love animals and Wano and Zou are full of wild animals. If she is really Hiyori, maybe Mihawk might join the war. One more thing, she is self-proclaimed princess without a kingdom. Why is that? Maybe, she is really a princess... from Wano. And, she doesn't have a family name. Why is that? Maybe, her family name must be hidden like Law. Kozuki Perona or I must say, Kozuki Hiyori. Last thing I might add, maybe the reason Gekko Moriah Pirates was collecting dead bodies & shadows is because they were preparing for this coming war against Kaido.
Bonney's power change people's age / appearances. What if her real power is the Time-Time Fruit? What if she doesn't alter ages or appearances but the "time that surrounds" her target? She can't go back to the past, but she can alter someone's own timeline using her power. And her awakening power is to send people into the future. Kozuki Toki didn't send her to the future so she can acquire her mother's ability. She and her crew are from South Blue maybe her retainer hid her there but she decided to become a pirate. One more thing, she have flower-design, maybe a foreshadow for Flower Capital? She loves to eat, maybe because she was always hungry when she was a child. If she is really Hiyori, all supernovas are up! When Whitebeard and Ace died, she was angry to Blackbeard, I think. She was angry and sad maybe because, her father is close to Whitebeard and Roger or they are family friends.
Other Alliances Theory
Gekko Moriah Pirates (revenge) - why higher ups want Moriah dead? Maybe because he is the key to defeat Kaido that will shake the power balance. Imu-sama wants him dead!
Whitebeard Pirates (Oden's relationship with Whitebeard)
Supernovas obviously
Revolutionaries (if Bonney is Hiyori, she is connected to Kuma somehow, therefore they might join the war with Kaido since Marines might go there too) and also, I think, Revolutionaries' war declaration is connected to Wano's war somehow.
Strawhat Grand Fleet hopefully will joinFights Theory
Kaido versus Strawhat Pirates (1 versus 9 (shadow Luffy) or 10 + Jimbe or 11 + Carrot)
Everyone will have an upgrades
Luffy - shadow Luffy, gear 5 or Ghost Luffy
Zoro - sword
Sanji - suit
Nami - zeus
Usopp - Plants only exist in Wano
Chopper - rumble ball + tama's dango = controling the beast inside him
Franky - Robot
Robin - ability on how to write in poneglyphs that she will use to damage Kaido
Brook - ability to communicate with the "Ghosts of Wano" and asked for help or Soul Power like Goku's genkidama or "Ghost Luffy"
Jimbe - Learn Fishman Sulong Karate. Since he is animal too like Mink, he can also do Sulong, I guess.
Carrot - Sulong Form without looking to the full moon (chopper helped her)Sulong Theory
Why it is only works when they looking to the full moon? My take is that, they are the genetic descendants of Zoan Devil Fruits. I think Devil Fruits are powered by the Moon that's why its weakness is ocean/water. They say, moon and ocean's high tide and low tide are connected. I guess its inspired from it.
Strawhat & Void Century Theory
I think Strawhat represents farmers. Farmers who plant "Devil Fruits". That's what Void Century is all about. Once upon a time, there's a tyrant king (Imu-sama) I hope, who enslaves Farmers (with Strawhats) for a very long time. One day, they somehow discovered how to create a Devil Fruits using their Farming Technique or they already knew that maybe but they are afraid to fight. Then, D was born. D lead them to revolution using Devil Fruit powers. They became failed and D died. That's why they called it "Will of D" because all D wants is to become free from Tyrants. But to erase this idea, they erased the history of that 100 years war, hence Void Century.
OR
D discovered how to create "D"evil Fruits so they can fight the Tyrant King. Will of D means freedom from a very very long time Enslavement of people. So basically, Void Century is a War against the Slave Owners (Gods) of the World lead by D who created Devil Fruits to fight Pirates/Gods (Slave Owners).

Kozuki Hiyori is Perona or Jewelry Bonney.
They both seem pretty unlikely to me but Bonney in particular
Mainly because she's already tied into mysterious plot lines involving the World Government, Whitebeard and Kuma just off the top of my head.
Making her the secret reveal for Momonosuke's sister would just be too much in my opinion
-
Like, I straight up would like a Hiyori is Shutenmaru reveal, a Mulan like character.
-
Im-sama might have used his wish, to kill someone, already on Roger in the past.
-
Jimbe can't go Sulong because it was stated that its the Minks True Strenght or something that they train their lives to perfect it.
And Moria was eliminated because they found him too weak to be Warlord. If they cared about the balance they wouldnt kill Whitebeard in the first place.

Fights Theory
Kaido versus Strawhat Pirates (1 versus 9 (shadow Luffy) or 10 + Jimbe or 11 + Carrot)
When you say Shadow Luffy, are you referring to Nightmare Luffy from Thriller Bark? If so, was that inspired by my theory from another thread? Just curious since I'm pretty sure I had that idea a while ago where Moria would show up to help fight Kaido and get his revenge, and the other Supernovas would all give their shadows to Luffy to power him up enough to actually stand up to Kaido.
Everyone will have an upgrades
Luffy - shadow Luffy, gear 5 or Ghost LuffyI'd definitely like Luffy to, by the end of the series, have 7 Gears in total.
Zoro - sword
It would be weird to get his hands on both other Kitetsu in such a short time frame. But maybe.
Sanji - suit
Probably toward the end of the arc if he has to fight one of the Calamities and needs the boost. I'd rather see him use more of those recipes. Why bother learning 99 of them if we've only seen one so far?
Nami - zeus
I'm actually more interested to see her using him to fly like Goku on the Flying Nimbus than its thunderous destructive power.
Usopp - Plants only exist in Wano
Hmm…interesting, hadn't thought of that. What with all the large beasts I thought he might find more bug-like things he can use, or maybe bring out his real Tengu power, LOL.
Chopper - rumble ball + tama's dango = controling the beast inside him
Interesting, interesting. But he's already got pretty good control over it. I'm wanting him to be able to invent a new form though, the Kirin Point. And/or his own version of Sulong.
Franky - Robot
Um…elaborate? I mean, I know there's Kabuki stuff so maybe some puppet drones?
Robin - ability on how to write in poneglyphs that she will use to damage Kaido
I doubt it. But she might find a way to defeat someone/something by reading one.
Brook - ability to communicate with the "Ghosts of Wano" and asked for help or Soul Power like Goku's genkidama or "Ghost Luffy"
There are no ghosts, they just time-traveled which made them basically fake their deaths. But if he could summon ghosts, hell yes, like that army of them from Lord of the Rings Return of the King. WTF is 'Ghost Luffy?
Jimbe - Learn Fishman Sulong Karate. Since he is animal too like Mink, he can also do Sulong, I guess.
Ehhh…if anyone's going to mimic a Mink ability, I'm betting on Chopper. What I want to see is Jimbei's eyes to go all slit-like the way Arlong's and Hody Jones' did when they got super pissed off or full of Energy Steroids. To see him when he REALLY means business.
Carrot - Sulong Form without looking to the full moon (chopper helped her)
I mean, whatever floats your boat. She's just not someone I care about anymore.
Jimbe can't go Sulong because it was stated that its the Minks True Strenght or something that they train their lives to perfect it.
And Moria was eliminated because they found him too weak to be Warlord. If they cared about the balance they wouldnt kill Whitebeard in the first place.
WTF? Are fishmen/mermaids a variety of Mink, then? Training doesn't really have anything to do with going Sulong, just to CONTROL it, right? Or was that from a different, crappy translation I read?
-

I just tried to say that Sulong is a Mink thing.
-
We don't know what are the different tribes or races of the world are. But the merfolk have their sun simbology.
-
I just tried to say that Sulong is a Mink thing.
I kind of knew that, but it's clearer to say that it's inherently part of them and that only the finesse and control during Sulong requires training.
We don't know what are the different tribes or races of the world are. But the merfolk have their sun simbology.
Interesting, how that mirrors the Minks' connection to the moon. But I think they've each got their own distinct origins rather than a common ancestor. Though it would be interesting to see what a hybrid of the species would look like…
And it seems like the shark-eyes thing that some fishmen have is all the overall race has as far as ultimate powerup, compared to all Minks having access to Sulong form. Can't wait to see Jimbei lose his shit and show us what happens when his eyes go all slit.
-
The sun thing is something modern for merfolk, even though the reason that a sun was chosen is that the Noah will lead them to the sun, while the moon thing is something ancient or even biological for the minks, but for us, and for their in-story creation is relevant.
-

Could be too much but on the other hand it could tie some of those threads together. As far as the WG knows JB/Hiyori is the last surviving member of the legitimate ruling family of Wano. That would alone would make her a valuable pawn to them & there's also her family's link to the poneglyphs. And if the WG want her that gives a reason for Kuma, representing the Revolutionaries. Maybe there's a link to Whitebeard in that as well, but we still don't know how he and Crocodile are linked so wouldn't hold my breath on that one anyway.

I'm also curious about Weevil's connection, if he's really WB's kid or not and if not, how the hell he got so strong and didn't really seem to be mentioned until recently (relatively). Would be really weirded out if he was in some way connected to Buggy, too.

Now that I got my ancient gamble that Kaidou is a dragon right, my next bet is that Big Mom, Kaidou and Teach are experiments of the World Government.
Big Mom - gigantification
Kaidou - creating artificial dragons
Teach - who knows -
The person in fox mask thing is hiyori. No reason why except that it's one of the few shown characters in Wano that could fit the bill.

Teach - who knowsThat also helped along my theory about the Yonkou crews having a representation of the Four Beasts on them.
Also, Teach is on a DF hunt, and from what we know of him, he's probably working on a way to enable others besides himself to potentially acquire multiple DF abilities in one person without dying.

Hi guys,
I've benn rewatching Punk Hazard arc and I have seen something interesting here, on this strange symbol:
Doesn't it resembles to this one?:
Same thing or another different? If not, what do you think?
-
I think it's just a regular old badge/crest.
-
¿? Can you elaborate it? What do you think about the one on smokin' man?
It's curious and strange that Oda make this. I think it could be some clue or so.
-
My theory or rather prediction is that Pekoms will be back at end of this arc.
He will be alive but also missing an eye- character with an eyepatch. With his earrings, eyepatch and more than ever pirate-like looks I would love him to take some action in future arc.
He was underused and he is almost Strawhat material. After hyping him at Fishman Island, Oda kept him always handicaped or wounded and we are yet to see him fighting and using his Zoan.. As well as full Sulong form.
-

I would like Pekoms to have survived and not be completely crippled, and take his rightful place back among the Minks. Speaking of Minks, if he has only one eye, does Sulong only have half the strength?
-
The blade luffy found will play a major role with his df awakening. Gomu gomu no giant katana!
-

…why wouldn't he just keep wearing his sunglasses?
He was underused
He's had a quite a lot of panel time to be fair
and he is almost Strawhat material.
Is he?
His design isn't particularly unique
He doesn't have a clearly defined role
He doesn't have a stated dream
His family role would likely overlap with Brook/Franky
His anthropomorphic animal shtick would overlap with Chopper
I wouldn't say he's anywhere close to Strawhat material, personally

I'm going to predict that Shilliew already stole Jozu's fruit after the battle they had with marco pirates. There is no way BB pirates got nothing out of that since marco and co separated and retired.

that would mean Jozu is dead

Indeed, that is what I think. It was said it's unknown who survived after that battle.

Hey everyone.
I'm of the opinion that Blackbeard will kill Shanks towards the end of the series. So I got to thinking about how Luffy will return the Straw Hat and what the Straw Hat pirates may become. I thought that Luffy will leave the Straw Hat on Shanks corpse before he sets out to defeat Blackbeard and he will take on a new Jolly Rodger in remembrance of Shanks. I think it may be a Jolly Rodger like Shanks's is however it'll be the scar under Luffy's eye rather than the three like on Shanks flag. -
I'm pretty sure Luffy is giving the Straw Hat to Makino's kid in the epilogue.

Posted this on Reddit, but it belongs here too: an idea about how Jinbe could be changed when he returns to us from Big Mom's captivity.
Jinbe will return white-haired and aged, most of his lifespan stolen. She could have killed him outright, but Big Mom wanted him to live to see her crush Luffy, so he has only a year or so's worth of soul left. This serves a few purposes. First, it puts a time crunch for the final act of the main plot. If Luffy is to reach Raftel with Jinbe on his crew he'll have to do it fast, accelerating everything that comes after he joins. Second, it works to help Jinbe's integration into the crew, exaggerating his role as an elder and the mature one, and giving him a little nerf in fighting ability so he doesn't steal too much of the spotlight from the designated star fighters. Finally, there's a tragic irony in comparing Old Man Jinbe to the fate of the New Fishman Pirates, who were created partly by the ideologies Jinbe sprouted in his younger and less educated days.
And as a final idea, putting Jinbe on a timer could allow Oda to put an actual, main crewmate fatality in the final battles without it feeling like last minute shock value or edge. We know he mostly likes to do deaths we see coming (most fatalities are in flashbacks, and we know who's living and who's dying before the flashback starts, or with a lot of build up like Ace had), and the inevitability of Jinbe dying during or just after the final battle, established a dozen or two volumes in advance, would fit that bill.
-
Anyone think that maybe when the Marines split and have there civil war at the end of the series that Bonney might put Garp and Sengoku back in there prime with her powers? or is that a dumb idea?
-

Interesting idea. What I like is, that it would give Jinbe some kind of altered appearance. We met him before the timeskip when he obviously wasn't a member. Since all of the crewmembers have had different appearance's since the timeskip, Jinbe's the only one who hadn't. It's obviously not some kind of "joining criteria", but would bring him more in line with the others. And it could be applicable here, since we know him since before the timeskip.

Did you notice that Kaido and his All Stars are all not human?
Kaido - Oars Race
King - Bilkan like Urouge/ Sky islander
Queen - Belongs to the race of Morly/San Juan Wolf/Torino Kingdom and has mechanical hand
Jack - Fishman/Merman most likely Merman since he has more human features.
-

Queen - Belongs to the race of Morly/San Juan Wolf/Torino Kingdom and has mechanical handI'm pretty sure at least Queen is human. And the residents of Torino Kingdom are all humans, they just look all chubby and round.
And Morly and San Juan Wolf are all giants from differet sizes, same goes for Oars.

Wait, Jimbei was captured? Wouldn't we have seen Big Mom torturing him if that was the case, if he was the only one she managed to get her hands on after all that? It doesn't make sense for that to be the case, but if it was, we ought to have seen more to that effect or Oda's just being needlessly sheepish.
Jimbei is likely to show up at a critical moment, as he did in the Big Mom arc when he was the only one in any position to save Luffy and Nami. There's no real need for him to get older or injured, if anything he needs to get less unhealthy so as to rise to the challenge these new enemies present. But I wouldn't be surprised if he has at least one Energy Steroid packed away for emergencies. Just one won't hurt too much…right?
As for someone dying at Raftel, given everything he's already been through, I'd be more likely to believe Luffy's the one who will fall there.
-

Nah, Shanks is much more likely (parallel to our crew reaching Raftel).
-
@Big:
Nah, Shanks is much more likely (parallel to our crew reaching Raftel).
I think he'll die before that, though. At Teach's hands, just to both finish what Teach started, and make Luffy motivated to end Teach even if he doesn't have a policy of killing enemies.

What if the komachiyo is the third samurai and secretly protecting tama since she is hiyori and he ate a mythical zoan that allows him to be a komainu? Lol just got it in my mind

Anyone think that maybe when the Marines split and have there civil war at the end of the series that Bonney might put Garp and Sengoku back in there prime with her powers? or is that a dumb idea?
It's a dumb idea if it's what seriously happens, but if it's used as a gag and they both beg for her to change them back to their normal ages because they don't want to spend another 50 years doing that all over again, it might be worth a laugh. It would be even funnier if she was a distant relative of Dr. Kureha and turned her back into her prime age. She might even look hot for all we know.
Also I don't think there will be a split in the Marines; I think regardless of their outlook (Coby and Smoker, for instance, who have different ideas of what should be done in the name of justice), they will band together during the next big conflict and they will experience an overall defeat and even the harsh ones like Akainu will be forced to go along with the Revolutionaries' new order.

So, according to the latest SBS releases Oda refused to answer questions about the name of Pangea castle in the Holy Land, probably because it had to do with a revelation about One Piece.
Maybe it's time to revive those theories regarding how the world used to be united and was divided artificially by the Red Lines during the void century…

ok, random thought
is it possible that, that one giant shadow back at the end of Thriller Bark could be related to Ym or it was Ym himself, who saw Kuma letting the SH's go and is the reason why he was transformed into a mindless robot and the Tenryubito's pet afterwards.

Those are probably Zou's cousins. But your theory makes sense too.

what if when law and luffy go to take on there yonkou and im speculating its kaido and when they arrive on his island he immedietly attacks them causing them to immedietly rethink fighting one of the yonkou. They realise that they can no longer get off the island cause kaidos forces have surronded the island and taken control of sunny and laws subbamarine. however Big mam who is pissed at luffy because of the bomb and eating her candy has been tracking the strawhats manages to find out that there on kaidos island. She goes there and easily dispatches the pirates around the island and enters we then have kaido and big mam both finding luffy and law at the same time. They most likely dont like each other as weve seen with the other yonkous getting into fughts easily. So there both there and are arguing over who is gonna kill luffy but one of them makes a false move making the other believe they are gonna attack. They get into a hudge fight with kaido just barely winning however to worn to fight law and luffy. This could thus take out two yonkous at once and majorly through the new world into chaos.
when I remembered I made this theory 6 and a half years ago. Pretty close to what's happening

I was thinking about this… What if the Strawhats gets Prometheus, Zeus and Napoleon as new members?

Brook -> Napoleon
Sanji -> Raid suit modified with Prometheus? -

Nami would sooner gain possession of another of BM's homies (Just Prometheus really) before Brook and Sanji would, if only because of those heat balls.
That said, Zeus is all she's gonna get.

Got a small theory;
For the longest time I was wondering why Hajrudin would work for the Buggy Delivery service, especially given that he seems to be a very proud Elbaf warrior.
His personality from Dressrosa would indicate that with such lofty goals as desiring to become the king of the giants, that working as a hired gun for a clown would be a weird stepping stone on that career ladder. Very odd…
...but what if he and his fellow giants weren't there for Buggy, but rather because they'd heard someone within Buggy's inner circle knew the location of their beloved leaders; Broggy and Dory?
This concern would certainly fit the giants as we saw Oimo and Kashi fretting over their leaders fate. For Hajrudin in particular, who has his eyes set on becoming the new leader, this could be vital information…...and then imagine getting into Buggy's delivery service and finding out the one who took down BOTH the Elbaf leaders through cunning and his own unique powers was neither the former member of the Pirate King(which would be somewhat understandable going by reputation), nor any of the level 6 rank prisoners, but the skinny guy who can summon wax from his palms. This guy looks like nothing, Hajrudin could squish him like a bug and yet SOMEHOW he takes down the two proud leaders of Elbaf.
To surpass Dory and Broggy, Harjudin has to overcome Mr. 3. What's the one weakness of Mr. 3's hard as steel wax?
That's right; Fire.
Suddenly Hajrudin bragging about how when he obtains the Mera Mera No Mi and become the King of Giants to Luffy makes sense. In his eyes, to become king of the giants he has to overcome the hurdle that his leaders failed. He travels to Dressrosa upon seeing Doflamingo's announcement and the rest is history.
Aside from Usopp, Hajrudin finding out the guy who took the giant's assailant down being none other the leader of the Straw Hats makes the switch over to the Straw Hat fleet all the easier for him as his four giant friends.

Joke theory: Everyone in the One Piece world with a Japanese name is either from Wano, a descendant of someone from there, or a Wanoboo.
