…...I could understand Vivi being credited as Bibi but.....this name is clearly the most audible and easy to memorise/transcribe in the entiere main cast.

Really, the only thing that was embarassing for me was when the Manga was just beginning the Thriller Bark Arc (I was still reading through the Skypeia Arc at that point), I read on Wikipedia that the The Straws Hats saved Robin during the "Enies Lobby Incident". I had no idea what "Enies" meant, so I thought for a while that the Straw Hats caused a huge battle/war for Robin inside of a Hotel Lobby. (the only thing I could associate "Lobby" with)

One of my friends who got me into One Piece convinced me that the entire Skypiea arc was A FILLER ARC, so I kept skipping some parts, and then someone else convinced me that the whole Davy Back Fights thing was also A FILLER ARC.

I think it was 7 years ago, when I was 10. One Piece startet at RTL2 (with good dub xDD) and "read" (looked at some pictures) an article about One Piece in the Kids Zone or Mega Hero. There were a picture of Luffy und Usopp. I thought that Luffy is a really bad guy cause he has a scar. About Usopp: he look like a cruel bully. Maybe I was a little bit scared. All Anime characters i knew till that moment were kind and smiled (like Goku xD) and this two guys looked like criminals.
I made the decision not to watch OP. After some time I watched it and loved it.

I remember when I first discovered One Piece I had caught the ass end of one of the episodes. I was rather interested so I made a note of when to watch it next week.
As soon as the fucking Pirate Rap started I immediately switched the channel, after a few minutes switch back and watch the episode. But that rap …egh, I didn't bother watching another episode because of that. If it wasn't for a chance encounter with volume one of the manga I would have completely called off One Piece all together. -
When i started watching One Piece (i was 8 and it was the 4kids dub) I loved it. Everything about it . And then it got canceled on cartoon network and i was devastated. I was also pissed for a little bit that they changed the voice actors. Anyways i soon started reading the manga and realized that the 4kids version was a cheap knock off so i started watching fandubs and reading the manga even more as well as watching funi's version. And yes, I still have a soft spot for the 4kids dub…........
When I die I want to get shot out of a cannon. Scare the hell out of someone.

When I was like six One Piece was on Cartoon Network… I remember thinking "These are some weird super-heroes..." (My brother is a huge marvel comic geek, and thanks to his influence I was under the impression that anyone with superpowers wears a mask and cape. Luffy and his rubber-ness confused me. He also had me convinced that anime is the source of all the world's evil) So, years later, when I was searching for some new manga to read, I saw One Piece and decided to try it. The first thing I thought was "This art sucks" and I refused to read past Romance Dawn. About a week later I was bored so I read some more. I got to Zoro and was SO PROUD of myself that I recognized him from commercials on Cartoon Network. Then I realized that he wasn't a bad guy... When Usopp was introduced I nearly stopped reading again because his nose annoyed me and I thought he was a wimpy prick. After that I really got into One Piece and decided to watch the anime. I was devestated when I realized that A) I'd been pronouncing pretty much EVERY character's name wrong, and B) Zoro's hair is green, not brown.

My embarrassing OP facts?
Watching a few of the first episodes when they were on cartoon network and thinking it was a new AMERICAN cartoon to bring in new viewers, due to the animation, voice acting and the wacky style and setting. That and enjoying (and STILL enjoying) the 4kids intro and everything about the 4kids version because its so OTT child friendly, making it hilarious. -
Yeah, me really liking this dub, without a doubt is really embarassing. This is a scene with ZORO polishing his sword with Sanji's "lollypop" it's like 4Kids totally re-did that, so kids don't get confused with the cotton ball. WOW…

4 years ago? RTL2 stopped One Piece with episode 263. I wanted to know how the story is going on. My family finaly got internet so I googled Dragon Ball AMV´s...yeah Dragon Bal not OP xD. I saw some OP vids instead on a german video portal and my interest for One Piece growed. After some time I saw an spoiler AMV about Robins past and of course I didn´t knew what happend to Robin.
One of my friends said that Robin killed the giant who was the protecting god of Ohara~ YEAHHH -.-" And for 3 months I believed that crap. xD -

I got into Naruto before One Piece and thought it was the best thing ever, watching it cause a friend of mine (we haven't spoken since the end of year 7 and I am now year 11) got me into it and Gaia Online, and I saw an AMV and was like 'holy shit, this is awesome' and so tried to find the anime a few months later, and stumbled across Bleach (though Bezerk keeps coming to mind...) and then thought that was the most epic thing, and then a friend of mine (thankfully we still talk) who watches Naruto and Bleach introduced me to One Piece, but it was such a while ago I can't really remember my first reactions...shames me that I even considered anything above One Piece ; u ;

The first time I see OP 11, I haven't read the Shanbondy Archipelago arc, therefore I didn't know any of the new characters. So when I see Kidd for the first time in the OP, I thought Kidd was a woman who wears men clothing and acts like a man!

My emberrasing story? Well, I'm the type to be horribly curious about things. So, one day, about a few episodes before Croc was defeated in the 4kids dub, I became horribly impatient and decided to go and read/watch the next few episodes online. My surprise when the sub was completely different from the dub. xD After that, I began to learn more about the series. But for some reason, I had this irrational hatred of Robin and Franky (I got in just after Franky joined). I don't really know why. I hadn't even read about them in the manga yet, I just learned about them on the OP Wiki once or twice. But I learned that they joined the SH crew, and I was all like 'oh no! But it's supposed to be Luffy, Nami, Sanji, Chopper, Usopp, Zoro and Vivi! Those two are gonna ruin the crew. D:' So for a long time I just brooded and tried to ignore Robin and Franky.
But, well, then I read the latest chapter on OM at the time, which was the chapter Garp came busting through the wall at W7 (I read that Luffy was trained by his grandpa on the Wiki and went to look for the chapter), and suddently they didn't seem so bad anymore. So I started reading it and watching it more. And I was like, 'hey, those two aren't all that bad. You know, I think I'm gonna watch them more.' And the rest is history.
I also had this funny idea that Garp was a little old man before I saw him in the manga (kinda like Genkai or Roshi or something), but strict and serious and was a nuetral character as far as Marines/Pirates go. xD I also thought that he was horribly mean to Luffy and only special people got to train with Garp (and lived to tell the tale).
