Had a guy ragequit on me the other day.
The dude was rightfully better than me. We were 2 and 2. And I wanted one more match to decide things before work.
He used Iron man, Dante, and Akuma.
I was using my usual Wesker, Ammy, and Ryu.
He was quite good with using Dante's Jam Session. Until I caught both of his characters (wesker and dante) during the assist with Ammy's shield bash heaven. 6 hit shield bash turned into a three person launch combo, ending with ryu's Hadoken hyper (canceled out to Ammy's hyper), resulting in a Galactic combo…. that killed his assist dante and left his Wesker crippled. Too bad he already wasted his x-factor at the beginning of the match.
We just stared at eachother for a second.... then I taunted with Ammy (howl) and activated my X-factor to remind his what game he was playing.
He ragequit soon after.
Great way to start a day of work.

Man, I've played about twenty matches this morning, and I only saw TWO Sentinels. Granted, I've seen ten Dantes and Akumas, but this nerf really scared all the Sentinel fans off.

Started doing mission modes, some people are just incredibly easy: I've done 14 people with 4 I haven't done everything on (two missions 9's and two mission 10's). Trish and Captain America were like no effort.

Before I say anything, I just want to say that I have no qualms with the gameplay. I enjoy it as a fighting game. I'm fine with X-Factor. I was okay with Sentinel, no matter how much I bitched about losing to him. Same goes for Dante, Hulk, Spencer, and Dr. Doom (all of which drive me batty sometimes).
That aside…there is a reason I've been bitching LATELY. When I first got this game, I tried to hide it, but I was really disappointed with the things I could do with this game. I felt this way on day one. Arcade mode was boring (still is to me) and Mission Mode.....I hate it, but that's because I hate doing those sorts of challenges.
And then Shadow mode comes out. I'm a bit disappointed, but hey, it's kind of what I expected. No complaints there!
But then we come back to why I have been complaining LATELY. Because LATELY, Event Mode came out. And honest, Event Mode is one of the most inexcusably blandest additional inclusions I've ever seen in a fighting game in my entire life.
Yes, they are pretty much trophies/achievements…...trophies/achievements that only allow you to collect said trophy if you select it and then perform the task. But the way and time it's been given...
"Hey! Our players have run out of things to do! Everyone has played through arcade mode and all that's left is online mode!"
"Give them Event Mode! That will give them a bunch of bullshit things to do!"It's like telling players, "Hey! Thanks for playing our game. If you want, here's a grocery list of things to do, even though you've probably done most of it already, but do it anyway." It's just insulting! This is the sort of thing that should be included on day one! But no, this is the bullshit bonus that is given to us to keep us 'interested'. And honestly, I'm gaining more and more reasons to drop this game the more I play it. The only reason I play still is for online and you guys.
Also, I'm not complaining that the next pieces of costume have come out yet. I'm much more complaining over the fact that the first six costumes were revealed way back when the final trailer was revealed (before the game came out). It would be nice if they, after two months of no costume trailer, came out with one. Hell, I could wait til' May for the next costume. But at least say something. Give me a reason to hang on!
Maybe I'm being too harsh. I admit to having a ton of fun with the people I know on this game, but beyond that, this game has been nothing but hype and failed delivery. Understand that I want to love this game, but it's boring me to tears now. Cause honestly, I want something to fucking do!

Where they give you a fixed match or random match with said rules already set.
The way you flip a switch for the conditions seem half assed.

To be fair, when SFIV came out it didn't have the plethora of modes available in SSFIV (pre-Championship Mode free DLC that is).
I'm hoping for a Championship-esque DLC sometime, with tourney brackets and maybe even some Team Battles (redundant in a 3v3 fighting game, sure…) and mayhaps some type of extra mode to veer us OFF Arcade mode (since Event Mode essentially told us to "get back in there and make it a goddamn sandwhich").
Hell, I'd settle for a "color edit" mode at this point XD

The endings REALLY irritate me since they had hyped the fact that they had hired a comic book writer for the story...
Granted the Episodes were amazing, but they didn't even attempt to use the in-game engine for rival matches or anything of the sort (prettier endings?)
TWO pictures per ending…? Street Fighter II had endings with more than two pictures.
I love the game and all, but holy cripes Capcom, you did NOT deliver on that "deep story" part. I'll give credit to the in-game references and quips between characters... but did that REALLY require a comic book scribe?

I hate to admit it but you are right.
This is stupid, people have no memories or clues that alternate costumes existed since the PS1 and PS2 era for free. There were games like Soul Edge, Tekken 2 to 5, the Doa series, VF who did this stuff. If it was so expensive they would have never added them in the first place.

^ I know right? It's like spending 60 dollars on a game isn't worth the money anymore. For a fighting game, I atleast to expect a ton of extra stuff I can unlock in-game rather than dish out more money for them.
Maybe this is me being too spoiled after the sheer number of unlockables in a game like SoulCalibur2.

Soul Calibur had even more options and was even better for these reasons:
-There were character sepcific stage with their own themes.
-SC1 had a better cast with. 20 awesome characters. Charade looked like nothing in SC2.- It introduced exhibition mode with the awesome katas. It was the first time I have seen something that impressive on real 3d.
- Watch mode included.
- It did not have characters like Link, Spawn and Heihachi who had nothing to do with the game only commercial.
- The art gallery was a jewel. SC2 had 5 times less illustration.
I wonder how much Capcom would charge if they do something all this stuff.
