Gotta admit. It's good. It's a completely different take on humor than most other users do. While I didn't really care about it at first, I actually started laughing 2 minutes in. I hope they continue anyway. It's probably the best abridged version i've seen so far.
Edit: The volume at the beginning seemed to be pretty loud and silent at different parts though.

Edit: Checked TFS forums, looks like it's a different one. Oh well, maybe there'll be two to watch.

Grand Dub was still my favorite, but this one was not bad. It's nice that the take on Luffy isn't some "normal dude's voice", but an obnoxious pirate.

As most other people have claimed, this was a lot better than I expected, and while it took me a couple seconds or so, I started laughing like crazy as the whole thing started to flesh out.
I haven't watched the second episode yet, but this is definitely appearing to be a potentially great parody, and I'm looking forward to more of it.

On the other hand, I find it funny to watch parody of OP since the original is queer enough by itself. IMO OP is a series which just can't be…taken...seriously... (And I hate it when I once a while still do so.)

Of course One Piece can be taken seriously. Sometimes not, but you are very much fooling yourself if you think it does not become serious frequently.

Well, yeah. I do realize One Piece is dealing with serious things once a while, too, such as family issues and whatnot. But it's still fairly, how to put this, odd and humorous most of the time. The world of OP does not respect any law of physics, and in general it seems that the series doesn't take itself too seriously. If this wasn't the case, I most likely wouldn't watch or read it with such a passion.
I can't take too much serious stuff in cartoons anyway, or maybe I just don't want too see it, since I've been dealing with loads of crap in real life myself and I need a break from it all. Being too serious about OP would just tear my brain off.
I hope this clarifies my point, since I don't want to offense my fellow fans of OP with my statements anyway.

I think what One Piece does with serious stuff is good for the soul and heart though.
It's not depressive, it's cathartic, and there are happy endings and huge triumphs.Like going from Nami watching her village go off to die, stabbing her arm while screaming ARLONG.
Then Luffy stops her, and the march to Arlong Park begins -
Just watched episode two. I'm quite impressed with this series. It's pretty silly itself and doesn't seem to cling to the cliches. And I'll admit, it had me laughing out loud quite a few times.
And, I'm sorry, but their Captain Morgan is hilarious.

I really love Purpleeyes' style. His stuff's so weird and hectic.
The meatshield scene still cracks me up, the sound effects on that one were gold.
His Code MENT's really funny too even though i've never watched Code Geass. -

Definitely the best abridged, only problem with it is it's a bit to fast paced at certain points, and a joke can't sink in. Scenes change in seconds.

Purpleeyeswtf is a god compared to all abridgers in my opinion. He's the only person I've seriously nearly died laughing to. His series Code MENT is golden. The two None piece episodes were just AMAZING. I'm so glad it was brought to attention on here : D The CP9 abridged one was actually pretty good too. I'm looking forward to more from those guys. I'm so glad this is being spread around XDDD I'm hoping for more updates in the next month.
