I'm pretty sure they just snapped pictures of them all at Sabaody. Usopp is on the top right, as you can see his hat and nose. I don't think they're bounty posters.

As someone reminded me, a lot of DF powers revolve around the hands–the most pertinent to this conversation may be our old pal Bon-chan's power, where he needed to touch a person, but ever after had them in his repertior (sp?) and could become whoever he had in there at will. I see no reason why, if Vandedekken's power works by touching someone, he couldn't target anyone he'd touched before at will in the same manner.
Well than why would he have a reason to cover his hand when touching Jones? If it does work like Bon Kurei's where he can remember who he touched, wouldn't it be safer to touch Jones should he turn on him?

Oh i though ussop was left bottom since i kinda can make out his water seven sogeking mask. I really don't see the nose or the hat.
And there are numbers. There's suppose to be numbers on top/under every picture, it's just you can't really make them out except for Luffy's and Zoro's. That's why i'm thinking it's their bounty/new bounty.
It's also make sense to think that their bounty rose after the strawhat pirates are revive. The government would definitely think of them as a bigger threat now that they are a complete pirate crew again.

They're scribbles. You can't just assume they're numbers. You can almost make out the Beli symbol underneath Luffy's name but that's because he got a bounty raise anyway. We have no reason to conclude bounty raises for anyone else yet.

We don't have a solid case for that. The only updated picture we have ever seen was Robin. This is purely speculation at this point.

Our reason to suspect that there is a limit, or that he can only target one at a time, is because he put a glove before touching Hodi Jones, if he can target any number of people as long as he touches them, he should use every chance he has to touch every person meets, even if he doesn't intend to target them at that moment he could want/need to do it latter… Specially when dealing with pirates.
Then why wouldn't he touch Hodi? After all they are pirates, he shouldn't completely trust in Hodi, and it would be advantageous to him to have touched Hodi once just in case.

Actually I also suspect that Zoro's bounty has increased, and I suspect that Franky's has as well, along with Luffy's. This is the second time that we see Zoro's poster with the bounty hidden since the time skip (first time was when Sanji was looking for him and asked the fisherman on the boat.) Zoro came back with a huge design change–the scar across his eye--and as of yet no explanation. My theory is that he got sent on some "training mission" or something by Mihawk, and it lead not only to the scar on the eye, but an increase in bounty as well. As for Franky, he was clearly spotted and recognized when he blew up Vegapunk's old lab. No way he's gonna come off without a bounty increase, considering how they acted and how much secret technology could have been hidden there. His level of danger to the WG increased a tremendous amount with that event, IMHO, and we have had it beaten into our heads over and over that level of threat to the WG is a major factor in bounties.

Unless The World government fears JUST reuniting of the Mugiwara's as such a major issue to place higher bounty's on them, and Oda pulls a Bellemy and Blackbeard scenario of logue town on us.
Which could happen. Just that the picture on the cover story don't look like bounty poster Material or Type.

Those posters would not be updated because the Government would have only made the brand new posters the very same day the Straw Hats set sail for FI which is still "today" in comic book time. The news coo's are only getting the word out now so of course Neptunes army wouldn't have any new posters, no one would.
Though at first I didn't think what the news paper has shown us was new bounties, but that beli symbol can be clearly seen on just about all the SH pictures so at this point I would not doubt it at all.

I thought that when I read the spoilers…
But I dismissed that after reading the actual chapter, since we see that Hodi doesn't even understand why Decken puts the glove before shaking his hand (because of the "?" simbols he does while Decken is putting it). Decken should have used the oportunity to touch him...
Which brings us back to the question of why he didn't... And leads us back the previous conclusions.

Epic chapter, really cant wait to see how Ussop Nami Brook and Zoro get away from all those soldiers and try to clear their name. Luffy needs to kick some ass soon or the New Fishmen Pirates and VDD are gonna do some big damage.
and yes the princess is hot but the fact that she is giant sized detracts from that slightly

Zoro bounty picture changed! And it went up again! I can't spot Sanji's usual bounty so i think the picture probably change. Though I can't spot Brook's bounty too. Everyone else seem to have the same picture so no change?
Zoro is so kewl XD But i hate how Luffy always get girl… It's not fair! And, I would have thought Keime to fight alongside the strawhat instead of asking them to surrender peacefully. I'm kinda dissapointed.
Luffy always gets the girls cuz he's the James Bond of our generation

Hey I dunno if this has been discussed or not (my bad if it has), but with FI being "threaten" by the Strawhats and all… what's the chances that we may see Big Mum in this arc? I mean, isn't she suppose to protect FI from pirates causing them trouble.... especially if mermaids being kidnapped? I mean seeing a yonkou in this arc would make it Q amazing!
Again my apologies if this was already discussed...I have a feeling this theory might of been brought to light a couple chapters ago, but I was interested in hearing others thoughts.

The way i figure, VDD needs to touch someone with his right hand to be able make him/her his target (similar to the way Crocodile can use his right hand to suck the water from something/someone but not his left hand). If so, it stands to reason that, if he touched Hodi with his right hand, he would no longer be able to "express his love" to the mermaid princess.

I seriously don't see how anyone can think that the princess would join the crew. Here are a few Big issues:
She is a princess,why join pirates?
She came off with the belief that being a pirate equaled being a bad person.
She couldn't fight, not even under water.
How in the world would she fit on the ship?!?!?!
The food she was eating was the size of Luffy.and it wouldn't look good to see two namis in the same spreadshot

Croc also could have used his left hand to suck up water. The reason why he only used his right hand, is quite simple: his left hand is gone and replaced by a hook! And Mr. 2's ability aquired both hands because he had to transform into another person and back to himself.
About the discussion of VDD being in a bubble under water with half of his body and the question if the water weakens him when his legs are surrounded by it:
Didn't we see Luffy using gear 3rd with CoA underwater? And his giant fist was outside the bubble, wasn't it? Oda needs to explain the DFs powers underwater more precisely. Maybe when Vegapunk shows up or in an SBS.
Or maybe the water around VDD's legs doesn't weaken him that much because he is a fishman. All I know is DF users can't move themselves when dropped into water. They can only be moved by others (Nojiko and Gensan pulling up and stretching Luffys neck to the surface @ AP). But VDD as well as Luffy still could walk by themselves underwater when the upper body was in a bubble.
And a fishman still can breathe underwater, even after eating a DF. -

Maybe the shark gathers information from outside to tell her…afterall she never was outside her room and that shark could be the preciuos mirror of the world who tells her lot of interesting stuff from the outside world.
