Forum Adjustments

As I'm sure many of you have noticed, a few adjustments have been made to the forum today. Some are obvious, some not so obvious, some you might never even realize are there.

That said, I would like to announce and welcome our new sub-forum moderators to the staff. This usergroup (yellow) will be in charge of specific areas of the forum, different per user, where you will see the name of the respective sub-forum mod at the base of the respective sub-forum. Their sections have been decided, but you might not see their name there until tonight or tomorrow. So… welcome!

Other forum changes include:

• OP-specific keywords added to the search engine*
• Sub-Moderator group added to forum leaders page
• Ranks changed from stars to Arlong's Jolly Roger
• Admin and Mod ranks increased by one
• Anime section reorganized

BTW i liked what they did in the anime section,(made my life more easy)

The color is a bit much, if you ask me. I'm sure it looks fine on the black themes, but on Grandline it is headache inducing. Congrats to everyone regardless.

Yeah, we're basically divided up amongst the forum sections, and within our jurisdictions we do typical mod stuff: edit/delete posts, threads, threadban, etc.

I'm not fond of the yellow myself– we can always adjust or change it if we choose-- but as far as I can tell the symbols are pretty clear on all of the skins, no? What skin and what color doesn't show well?

Well the "moderators" are super moderators, renamed to global BOSS moderators. We were all pretty indifferent about the naming scheme, since nobody really ever sees it or uses it. Call them 'section mods' if you want, it doesn't really matter. The point is that they only moderate forum categories and sub-forums, not the forums as a whole.

Yeah, the yellow really doesn't work with the Grand Line skin.

In the CP9 skin, though, it looks badass (Albeit admin black looks terrible on CP9).

How about a different shade of green? That establishes the relationship to Moderators, but clearly states that they're a distinct group.

Anything would be better than Eyegouge Yellow.

It might just be my eyes or even this monitor, but the symbols are small enough onscreen that they come across as a weird circle at first glance. I don't think it's a color issue, just a size issue and the fact that they're not quite as intuitive a ranking system as stars.
