Can't remember if I replied haha
Well, anyway, I remember I used to HATE One Piece sob I don't even know how I could though D: I guess I never gave it a chance. My sisters and I subscribed to Shounen Jump before, back in like, 2003-2006. I always skipped over it though. I guess I just was curious and looked at it, and then suddenly, I just started going back to all of our Shounen Jumps and reading all of the One Piece. I think the first part I read was the Baratie arc haha.. Well, anyway, I just started get more into it, and read all the way to the current chapter (594 at the time) within two months lolz I have no life XD
How did you first start liking One Piece?

i first liked it in 5th grade when 4kids promoted the series premier and all that. Didn't really know about the edits cause it was the first time i ever heard of it. but it has gotten better since funimatoin got ahold of it.

Meh I heard so much about the anime that I finally decided to give it a chance. Well I watched a few episodes and really loved it. Has tons of action and comedy in it, some thing like that is hard to find these days.

-
Caught the 4kids dub of how Luffy met Shanks, after that I quickly looked online for the manga.

I saw it first time 8-9 years ago, me and brother were watching it every day on tv. I remember watching Arabasta arc last and since then watching on and off. I decided to watch all the missed episodes and I'm still doing so. I think I didn't like it very much back then because some of the characters (Arlong for example), but later I became interested in the story and I'm still watching new episode and reading new chapter every week.

Well, I DISCOVERED it a long time ago, back when I was..ehh…8. I knew it was about pirates and it looked like Pokemon and DBZ. (I had no idea wtf anime was) Then, when I was 12 or so, I was at my friend's house and his sister had the first volume and she let me read it. Hell, I loved that...I started reading the manga, but stopped mid-Drum Isle arc, then picked up when I was 14 (few months ago, actually), now I am a fan. :)

I've been hearing about OP ever since I entered the weird and wonderful world of anime and manga, but it never really occurred to me to start it. Most people I spoke to were into it, one or two said they had tried, but couldn't stand the style. All I knew was there were about 2139749738 chapters.
And then one day I got bored. I was in the manga shop, and couldn't find the manga I was after. They did, however, have One Piece. Ah yes - that's how it went. I had been in a few shops before then on different occasions, yet they never had the FIRST volumes of One Piece. But this shop did. I was intrigued. So I bought the first three volumes, and read them on the train. And that was it. Life as I knew it ended, and nothing will ever be the same again. XD

I was on YouTube looking for a video to put on someone's FB for their birthday. They were a zombie fanatic, so after browsing some I discovered the clip of Luffy pushing that zombie back in the ground in Thriller Bark, and it really made me laugh.
A few days later I was at the library in the manga section and I saw they had the first few volumes of One Piece, and recognizing the title I decided to take it with me for laughs. And the rest is history!

FROM THE START.
I've always watched anime and in 2003 the first episode of One Piece aired here. They didn't even got to say a word and I was hooked. I simply loved the music box theme the german intro used.
And of course, everything that happened afterwards didn't change that awesome first impression.

When I was 11 i lost the tv remote and 4kids One Piece episode 1 happened to be on… so i watched it and later i looked it up on the internet, found the japanese version, and have loved it ever since... and hated 4kids ever since then too

Well? How long?
For me, it was around July 2005 when I got my first volume of the english manga, 7.
-
I think it was 2003 when the series was translated into Danish. Bought every book since the first one, regularly. Man, its been a long time now… I was a kid back then.

I have been a modest fan since 2004. I became a serious fan around the end of 08' I think.
