Ehhh.. I don't know what to think, this is the kind of thing that may end up like "The Punisher" movie or end up like Batman Begins. I'm really hoping for the latter, assuming they don't completely screw Mandarin up.

Upon leaving the theater playing Spider-Man 3, I heard a few guys talking about the Hulk's rage. And it got me thinking; his power is trigged by an emotion. His strength increases from emotion. Every power he has comes from emotion. He is the biggest emo in all super herodom.

"sniff Hulk sorry. Hulk no smash you. Hulk no want to be green. Hulk wanted to be purple. Life no fair to Hulk. Hulk go home eat oreos and cry."

I read Punisher War Journal#5. The cover is misleading, as Frank doesn't get arrested nor is he held at gun point. However, he does see a live telecast of Cap getting shot. I'm looking forward to #6 to see if he does anything with the mask.

And the new definition of emo seems to be anyone who shows any emotion and doesn't act like an emotionless "badass".

Then again, people call stoic characters like Cloud Strife and Leon Squall emo. A stoic emo is a major oxymoron.

I never really get caught up on minor improbabilities, because at that rate I would never be able to stand comics. And hey, at least this one instance is better off than Batman beating Superman on different occasions. Which was stupid enough to make me avoid Batman for the last five years. And I still avoid that wonderbread space gigolo.

I LOVE Adi Granov's Iron Man. Extra points for not being CGI.

What a comic day this'll be. Kinda quality vs. quantity, because out of the four I plan on getting ASM is the least exciting, and I've been actually looking foward to that for a while. I'll swing by this thread again in a few hours, if only to get that Ronin bullshit outta the way.

There's a few reasons I can think of, one of which being that the Young Avengers (shudder) already have a Hawkeye.

Last time we saw Hawkeye's costume, it was pinned to the ruins of Avengers mansion.

It might be that he didn't have a spare one so they gave him the Ronin uniform. :ninja:

So it's been awhile since I've read any comics, but lately I've been itching to start again. The only problem is, well, it's a bit daunting to find something good to start from. I picked up The Road to Civil War TPB today to get started on the whole Civil War deal, so I'm just wondering if there's anything else (Marvel) that would be worth looking up.
