Green Lantern #25 is looking to be an amazing book

That shit was fucking awesome. This story's already shaping up into a modern classic. It'll be remembered as one of the great DC epics.
Sucks to wait until 2009 for the next part, though…. sigh
-
DC is still epic? Or am I missing something…?
-
ohh some people are not gonna be happy with booster gold 5….
! He booster tries to fix it over and over again but fails….and then that prick hunter says that it was him trying to prove a point to booster....that supernova and rex didn't cause killing joke that it was supposed to happen

and goddamn it the preivew Pages for In Blackest Night are going to make the wating intolerable
-
What the hell is with this CORPS OF EVERY COLOR shit
-
they're for the different EMOTIONS…...
and the Red ones Vomit Angry energy
-
I liked how they brought back an obscure GL villain no one gives a shit about to lead THE BLACK (!!!) CORPS
-
Nothing wrong with bringing back old lame villains and making them bad-asses.
-
It was really fucking epic. I wish there was a better word then epic. The Black Night is gonna rock so hard.
I also liked Booster Gold #5, BTW. Seems to be getting mixed reviews. I felt it did it's job though.
-
For some reason I found humor in the fact that Booster Gold repeatedly tried and failed to prevent Barbara Gordon from getting crippled
-
!
Oh fuck I'm too late huh -
Look on the bright side, Bucc. It can be as bad as Castle trying to be Captain America.
-
There was a story reason for that, though. And in the end, he admitted that he could never live up to the mantle.
-
Sinestro Corps. ended amazingly well, go Geoff Johns for making a truly epic story for our times. I wasn't planning on buying Green Lantern or Green Lantern Corps once this storyline was over, but dammit all the teases for the Blackest Night and the 5 other colored lanterns are too exciting to miss. Black Lantern zombies is just too exciting.
There's an interview with Mr. Johns on Newsarama about what's to come and it sounds good. John Stewart getting some character development, the colored lanterns (in particular red), the alpha lanterns, the 10 new laws of the book of OA, and of course Blackest Night should all make for exciting stories. I hope we see more from Sodam Yat as well, and hopefully we'll see Guy and Ice's relationship rebuild as well.
And Johns hints at a Superman Prime storyline in a book he's not currently writing…....now that's intruiging. He's really done a great job with that character.
While I'm here, Wonder Woman is a great read now that Gail Simone is on the title. The art is gorgeous, but now the writing is just as great. In only 2 issues she's brought in fighting monkeys, monkey roomates, Wonder Woman fighting Nazis, kicking Nazi ass with her lasso, some new origin information about Diana, interaction with Hawaiin gods, and best of all Wonder Woman actually being competant for once (and not just that, she's intelligent, witty, funny, wise, etc) Basically, Wonder Woman as she should be.
DC finally got everything in order, and now their 4 biggest characters (Bats, Supes, Wondy, and GL) are all super high quality titles, from some of the strongest creative teams they have going right now.
-
Hahaha, I love Herc!
-
the cover of the next issue of Annilation Conquest
!
HOLY FUCK
-
Ultron is so bad ass now XD
-
That one, yea, Ultranny was a flop, though.
And he always a bad-ass. Dude's a genocidal robot.

It's funny how much I disliked that arc, because War Journal has been awesome otherwise. 14 was the only book from this week that I'd recommend.

I finished reading Gotham Knights last night, the ending was pretty badass.
I personally thought the series was OK, but kinda went down in the middle. By the end it was more of Bruce/Batman vs. Hush than Bats' buddies vs. Hush, but I guess their absence was for their safety.!

^woops sorry should I had Spoiler tagged the ending of G. Knights?

No no, I meant after that part. I'm not sure if we ever found out what happened.
-
^I actually thought Bats started being more aggressive and less of how he was when dealing with Hush, but I haven't read any Batman comics after it.
Anyway, I now have 2 Gigs of Deadpool comics (but missing the latest DP & Cable, but whatever) :D. -
Am I the only person whose favorite Green Lantern is Alan Scott?
I got a .rar with all of the Sinestro Corps issues in it, I need to start reading those.
-

Alan Scott is pretty awesome. My favorite would have to be Alan, Hal, or Guy.
-
I just finished it, and a few things disappointed me about the ending.
particularly how easily Anti-Monitor and Henshaw were dispatched.
I'm trying to figure out who's going to start up those other Latern corps. Orange seems like it should be obvious, but I can't really think of a single person.
-
well we don't even really know what happened to the Monitor other than hes supposadly the Black Corp's living beast like Parralax or Ion
which is another good question, will each color have a mystical animal
they've also set the ground work for bringing back if only for 1 arc almost any DC character, SuperBoy (one that died in IC) is a real popular choice.
and now for DC between now and Blackest Night, Countdown ends, then Final Crisis then the Corps go to war
-
I'm loving the new Howard the Duck comic. It's really good. Howard has a great new design that really suits his cynical and grouchy personality. I like the main villain M.O.D.O.T (Mental Organism designed only for Talking). The only thing I don't like is how Beverly is being written. She's too air-headed in this. I know she's not completely there in the head, but the writer is taking this into over-kill.
-
So i just finished reading the Olympus arc of Miracleman, holy shit greatness
-
What're Miracle Man's powers/abilities?
-
Superhuman strength, speed and stamina, Flight, Invulnerability, Force fields, Concussive energy blasts
hes basically like Captain Marvel only without the name and in a Alan Moore Book

Oh Alan Moore, def. gonna read that shit when I can.
Been reading Deadpool, anyone who hasn't read it yet it is a rotten chimichinga.
"Me Deadpool, you Atari" -
Oh, hey, guys, did you think One More Day couldn't get any funnier?
-
Who fucking cares about Aunt May
she's like 500 years old and crying about keeping her alive makes no sense since she could die naturally the next day
Not like she has much to look forward to in life
-
Obviously, the best way to make Spider-man good is to make everything like it was 30 years ago.
"Mephisted" is the new "prime-punch".
-
Have any of you guys read Maus? I've just finished reading Maus Vol. 1 and I loved every bit of it! I need to go back to my local comic shop and buy volume 2!
-
Maus is amazing, yea. One of those books that show what the medium can really do.
-
Heard that the writers (or whoever) who are working on Wolverine Origins will switch to work on a new Deadpool comic.
-
So Captain America's gunned down by Nazis
and Spider-Man makes a deal with a devil
-
And Loki's a chick.
And the Hulk has a kid.
-
EDIT: BTW has anyone read Zot before-
!
