ITunes Hates Me

Okay, I have a new computer. And I've decided that this computer shall now be where I manage my iTunes library. Everything has been transferred, everything plays just fine, and everything is set up.

I'm using a Dell with Windows 7, and iTunes has the most recent update.

My issue is that I'm trying to make a bunch of playlists, but somehow, iTunes has reverted to it's retarded self, but worse.

Issue #1:

! When I make a new playlist, iTunes is acting weird when I try to add songs. Usually, I could pick a song from the master list, drag the song, and insert it in the playlist listed on the left column. It doesn't do that anymore. Now I have to right click the song, choose copy, enter the playlist, and hit CTRL V. Is this part of the newest update/version of iTunes, or something stupid?

Issue #2:

! I can fix the order of my playlists. Usually, I could drag the song across the playlist and place it where I want (say, drag "Always" by Erasure from song #8 to song #2). Can't do that anymore. I've been told the issue is "turning shuffle on or off", but I've managed shuffle in both the menu bar and the little icon on the bottom left, but it still doesn't work. Seriously getting annoyed.

If you guys know the solution of any of these problems, please let me know. Thank you.

Not sure if it's this but it's the first thing that came to mind.

Maybe you're using smart playlists instead of normal playlists. Smart playlists automatically add songs based on certain parameters.

Although it might just be because iTunes is retarded :sideways: .

If you don't want to gay around with iTunes, programs like Foobar are greatly customizable and allow you full access to everything. There's also addons that work with iPods, in case that's the reason you were using iTunes.

Of course, I'm not sure how things like transfering music you've bought on iTunes works. I just know my father has immense frustrations with it and it sounds like an awful service. Chances are it may not be easy to get those onto other programs, but as I have no knowledge on this, don't take my word for it.

I do remember iTunes being a terrible media program, though, so I can at least say that if you can, it's probably better to ditch it.

I had this too; must be the new update. You can't drag things into iTunes anymore, you have to add them via clicking buttons / manually etc.

I can't really leave iTunes.

I have $150 worth of gift card credit!!! Let's just say I have an aunt who only gives me iTunes gift cards as presents for ANY situation.

Before this current update, everything was fine. I could manage playlists and songs like nothing before this update. The only issue with the last version was that if you accidentally clicked "BUY ME" on a song (which happened to me on a few occasions), it immediately buys the song.
