Jeez I used to play this in environmental science class in highschool. Good times.
It's not as quality a game as it once was, but I still have a huge collection.
My greatest treasure - an Alpha Twiddle.
I played for a while when I was much younger. I was really involved and bought a lot into the system, but was never very good at it. It's resurfaced a bit in college since my friends and neighbors are really into it. I brought my collection to school for them to pick and and play the occasional game with, though nothing much. Way too much of a cash sink for way too little.

Every so often Magic is reintroduced into my life. Usually I have like a 6 month run where I obsess with it again every like 2 years. This is caused by meeting new people that play, or some of my friends decide to start playing again, and I can't help myself. But it never lasts long since I have absolutely no desire to spend a bunch of money on it like I use to. I still have all my cards, though.. I can never give anything that's collectible up. Most of the underneath-my-bed area is dedicated to boxes of my MTG cards.
Black is and will always be my favorite color. Everything else bores me.

In my middle school,Magic was like a fever,every one in my class (even girls) had 1 deck.
But i was late to enjoy the party..and only begin to play when everybody was getting bored of the game.
but in high school,only the NerdĀ“s and young boys who didnĀ“t knew the rules were playing it.
for me..the best land colour is Black and Red.
I once ordered a book off the Internet and I guess it was late or something because the sender apologized and included a gift that was basically a book (isle of view) that I guess is about centaurs because they're on the cover, and a magic card "Dark Ritual"
Also I found a magic card "mana pool" on the ground at the mall once and so I kept it
This concludes my experience with Magic the Gathering.
 
I used to play this game in middle school. :P I still have some fond memories of it. If I had access to Xbox Live on a consistant basis, I'd probs play a bit of the online version. :3
