Is there a new Final Fantasy anime being considered?

OK sorry for asking this but has anyone read anywhere about a Final Fantasy anime series being planned?
I was lurking the net for info on upcoming anime and I find that THERE MIGHT be an FF6 anime. Anyone know anything about this or is it just a baseless rumor?

yes, but that was based off of FF7. we're talking FF6 here!

I'd like to know why they have figures and stuff for FF7 and up, but nothing for FF6. $:\$ boo urns

I thought those were kinda cute for what they were. I got the old VHS dubs. made me think of nadia secret of blue water.

I kind of like Legend of the Crystals. Sure its not great or anything, but it was entertaining for what it was worth.

It was also based of V, so thats one thing it had going for it.
