Just saw this at a friends how a little while ago. . .
Is it just me or did anyone else find Kasumi HIGHLY annoying?
I mean she was just whining and bitching and shouting stupid moral bs through the whole movie?
At the beginning she was being emo, some time passed, being whiny and emo, more time passed being whiney, then having a flashback of her being whiney(with the obligatory softcore lesbian inplied scenes of underage girls yay Japan)
more time goes by, nope…still whiny but just louder this time. . .
more time goes by. . .whiney another flashback of her whiny and trying to kill her self (too bad she failed-.-)
more whining followed by plot induced stupidity which was just annoying
finding out that:
! basically the reason why 90% of the people died in the sleep thing was because of Kasumis emo retardedness
And that
! basically whiny 14 year old Japanese girls can destroy the world because of their whiny-ness…
I really thought she was annoying and was hoping shed get killed at every action scene
The ending. . .
I felt robbed, sure it explained everything in a mindfuck sort of way(i.e. lost)
I dont know why I felt robbed but the end to me was just like. . .what? really?
…It just felt like I wasted my time with the ending. I did not care about the characters save for the Kid who Mysteriously knew about all the monsters they were fighting, he was the least annoying of them all. . .actually he was enjoyable
Marco the guy who kept saying Amigo (wtf, Why Japan why this guy is BRITISH. . .) I guess was the pedophillac love interest that the movie tried to subtly put on us. . .
The Black guy. . .yeah what the hell was his problem with Marco. . .they never explained that, they made him seem like he always had PMS. . .
! It would be interesting having the black guy being in Marco*s Role and being the Love Interest of the 14 year old girl. . .that would have been just funny
I did like part of the ending where:
! It turns out that Kasumi is actually already dead, she died near the beginning of the story cause she tried to an hero with her friend but her friend was like no fking way and kasumi fell to hear death for being annoying whiny and emo. . .unfortunately the non emo girl went SUPER emo, and created another Kasumi. . .ugh. . .what a rip.
the Visuals were good, action scenes were great animation was nice music was nice but. . . .the characters were just annoying. . .
