Man, I'm getting soo pumped for this arc. All the sides to the story, the history of Luffy with the fishmen already. This is the beginning of the final push of the SH's, where they grow from well-known pirates to legendary pirates.

First of all, we dont KNOW if it is a lvl 6 prisoner or not. i have never SAID that it would a level 6 prisoner. i however did offer points onto WHY it oculd be a level 6 prisoner.

next. we're at fishman island, where the new crew is NFP. anything short of a merman/fishman leading it would be absolutely pathetic. "hi, we're proud fishman, being lead by a human".
Also, jimbei knows full well just wat his fellow fishmen did. he already stated that he agrees fishman are overly aggresive. that means he wouldn't have just released his friend/colleague/etc. specially if he saiddd osrry for the arlong ordeal, someone relaed to arlong would not hold a special place in jimbei's heart.

Judging by Hachi's age in Strongworld and how he and Arlong are probably the same age seeing Hachi's flashback, I don't think he's older than 30. So Arlong, Hachi, Kuroobi and Chu must have only been in their mid-teens when they joined the Sunny Pirates
If those were the names of the friends, then the new character is probably one of those two.

Chimney is a kind and it's already revealed that she is a single child, so she can't be a quintuple ( … twins, triplets, quadruples - get it?). Additionally, her legs are already split, so she isn't a "pure" mermaid. In the SBS of Vol.45, Chapter 434 Oda revealed that Chimney is only 1/4 mermaid, since Kokoro married a human. They had a son (half-merman) who married a human, and their daughter is Chimney.
Mermaids, Merman and Fish(wo)men differ simply by fish races... Kokoro is an Icefish mermaid, Hatchan an octopus fishman, Camie a Kissing gourami mermaid... etc. That's the trick.

Camie looks so damn adorable. I was also caught by suprise when I saw the little mermaids around her, thinking she's become a mom. But nah, those are just her friends.
Actually I don't even think they are supposed to be representative for baby mermaids, but just some kind of really small mermaids. Young ones nontheless (see the hilarious bubble swimming aids). But since they were so small and so many of them I immediately pictured them hatching from eggs. And it made me wonder for a sec how mermaids actually procreate.
Then I remembered Kokoro, and her story with a human man so it must probably work the oldfashioned way…

As far as I can tell, Oda was not saying that one of the dogs might be fake =.=" Since there is no story-relevance to the art, I do not believe that there is a point to assuming that.

I don't think Camie lives in a shitty neighborhood at all, it seemed pretty standard middle-class, maybe even upper. We in the U.S. associate apartments with poor college aged kids, but in Japan living in an apartment is the norm.
