Oh, Caribou. You're just going to fuck things up jjjuuuuuussst enough to get the Straw-Hats into serious trouble, aren't you?
forreal….. caribou ruining everything sighhh
-
So, how is there sky and sunlight ? weren't they 10,000m under the surface? I'm confused.
Not only that… what about the lenght of the yarukiman mangroves? 10000 m!!!
-
"I FOUND IT !! THIS IS ALL-BLUE !!"
What a reaction…
This arc is gonna be pretty serious, judging from the fishmen activites and Caribou that might get freed soon... It'll be tons of fun
-
I hope there's someone named Nemo in the Neptune Army, regardless that it's not an original name.
-
The arlong guy will look like Che Guevara.
You heard it first here! -
Great chapter
The Mermaids are SUUUUPPPPERRR!!!!! Sexy
and that new fishman at the end of the chapter looks like a old version of arlong a bit maybe its his dad XD -
I hope we'll see guys using water to fight like Jinbe did… It must be really interesting, to see Luffy fighting such an opponent.
-
I don´t write this often but this chapter just deserves a comment.
- Caimie looks awesome. Nothing more to say.
- Well, about the mermaids… LEGEN- wait for it -DARY! They look gorgeous and their reaction about pirates at FI is sweet.
- FI itself seems great so far. I´m really curious about the rest.
- And yeah, the NFP boss looks bad ass.
Just again a great chapter from Oda-sensei.

My exact thoughts when I saw the barrel panel.
Not this deep shit again…:ninja:
-
sanji should just boil caribou and feed him to Luffy as milk
-
Also, inb4 hentai of the "Killifish Mermaid Quintuplet-chins"… God damn Japan.
-
There was so much amazing stuff, that I just don't know where to begin. Fishman Island, I mean… just Fishman Island... We made it!!!
I loved Keimi, I loved the quintuplets and I adore how everything looks in FI. And MERMAAAAIIIDS!!!! Finally!!! The double page with them just had me laughing because I knew we would get an epic Sanji reaction on next page. So great!
This is incredibly exciting, I'm so glad that I started reading the manga. I'm sooo in love with adventure too -
can't wait for the next chapter.. interesting chapter and its only gonna get better.. kinda wondering where zoro and the rest ended up though..
-
"I finally found it! ALLLLL BLUEEEE!"
Lol Sanji
-
Can't wait til next week
Finally I will see luffy fight a strong opponent
-
Nice chapter .
Though Hammond looks kinda dorky
@ DXBPlayer : winter break .
-
Can't wait til next week
Finally I will see luffy fight a strong opponent
The fight won't happen in the next episode, when we just saw the "shadowed face" of the opponent. There has to be more build-up first I think.
Sanji was epic this chapter.. "Today.. must be the day that I die" rofl.
-

By my estimates , we'll see the next chapter animated sometime around late summer
-
Fishman Island looks so pristine and lively. I must say I am liking how FI island is set up more than Skypea. I was extremely proud of Sanji keeping it together and not going nose bleed bukkake on himself. This is the perfect rehabilitation for him to get over Nami and Robin's sexiness. If he could be alright with this much beautiful mermaids talking to him he will be fine back on his ship. I almost pissed myself laughing when that mermaid touched his hand, poor Sanji must've jizzed in his pants.
No Arlong but from the looks of it maybe a relative or just some other bad fish. Oda is going to have a field day with the social stratification of FI. The Fishmen have their section, the Mermaids have their section and the Uppers have their section but now that Luffy is here all of their worlds are going to collide in way they cant imagine, lmao. I was expecting Jinbei to be the 1 to help them though but Keimi is just as good.
-
Next chapter Sanji finds Okama mermans.
-
lol @ yonka 2
Mermaid cove looks amazing
-
Awesome Chapter! Fishman Island is beautiful, but Keimi is even more beautiful
She is really sexy now, damn! And all those mermaids…for now, the Strawhats truely are in Paradise. And Brook is missing it all. Caribou will cause trouble soon though and ruin the mood.
That fishman boss could very well be a close relative of Arlong. Seems this will be a rather long arc
I can hardly wait to see what happenend to the others.
-
Actually, does it bother anyone else how FI is so accommodating to air-breathers? Even down to the fact that when Keimi opens her front door, a huge dome-like bubble comes out which perfectly lets the Straw Hats get onto the conveniently air-bubbled turtle. It's like an underwater theme park designed for land lubbers rather than a legitimate city that has developed due to aquatic lifeforms.

Camie works with clothes for everybody, those kind of need to stay dry during sweing.
-
For me, the Neptune's Army is a submarine faction of the World Government, whose mission is the
research about the localitation of the Neptune Ancestral WeaponNeptune, the Ocean's God…. Neptune, the submarine Ancestral Weapon
Maybe, this faction too always has tortured to the Fishmen for his pourpose, and has caught fishmen how slaves
This is the reason because Hammond "respect" this Neptune army
-
I loved the killifish mermaids, they are so funny and cute…
"Hey, look!"
"Did you look?"
"I looked!!"
"I'm not looking!!"
"I looked, but what is it?" -
"Ahh!! Female voices"
Gurararararararaa!!
Sanji made the chapter! -

Are you suggesting she has a unique piece of technology that keeps air underwater and somehow refreshes it with oxygen even though they're 10,000 metres or whatever below the sea, just because she makes clothes? Also, it seems near impossible for her to get her clothes out of FI and to human civilisation, just recall what the SHs have gone through in the last few chapters. Not to mention it's a much broader thing, a great deal of FI is actually in the air, not just places directly relating to Keimi. I hate to say it but it seems like Oda's making massive concessions here.

Don't be so quick to jump to conclusions, lets get the history behind FI before passing judgement.
-
Anyone else noticed the trident tattoo on the NFP boss?
And could he be this fish?
-
Well the one piece of history we have so far, IIRC, is that before Whitebeard and after the person that defended it before, it was just casually ransacked by people. How the hell did they get past all the shit that the SHs just did? As well as get through the double bubble (that the Sunny only got through because of Coup de Burst, as was pointed out this chapter)? The way it was described before it was like some random bastards just spilling in because Whitebeard/Jinbei weren't there to protect it, now it seems like you'd need a crew with a combined billion+ bounty and possibly even haki.
-
next week break!
-
Nice chapter, the hot mermaids and sanji's reaction was quite funny. And with part of the crew seperated, who knows what Oda will have in store for us with that. And I love that defeating Arlong is now coming back to bite them in the ass and gave them an instant-enemy. Wanna read more now.. too bad for the break

They probably don't harass everyone that gets there. Luffy was special due to him defeating Arlong. As for the last part, you can normally go through the entrance then everything will be ok.
-
@Teclo: the mermaids said that the strawhats didn't use the proper entrance.
i assume that most the other pirates that used to rampage through FI used the proper entrance, rather than forcing through the bubble.
How the hell did they get past all the shit that the SHs just did?
Aside from the difficult currents and the active volcanoes, there's nothing else to suggest too much trouble for lots of pirates being able to come through years ago, when the extra threats may not have been there.

There is an easier way to enter FI, judging by Hammond's surprised at their method. The SHs just did it the way they did out of desperation.

I actually like how Oda has separated the crew again. I noticed that when there are fewer characters present in the group, the more the characters are portrayed in depth, hence the more real they look, as opposed to being together, where there's a tendency of them just going with the flow.
-
Wow, Nami and Robin may have drown but Sanji doesn't care ?
And Luffy "Oh, I'm sure they'll manage somehow…" !?Oda deceives me here. It's almost Deus Ex Machina...
And I didn't understand half the chapter, I think the translation was too hasty. -

You mean, like it always goes.
-
You have absolutely no idea what "deus ex machina" means, do you.
-
By the way, the double bubble is a great idea because humans that would want to enter the island can only do it through the gate (and it is probably retractable from the inside bubble to prevent anyone stronger than the potential guards to force their way in), and in case the bubbles are destroyed, only fishmen can survive.
-
I really liked the atmosphere on this chapter… cosy, homely?
Can't wait to see the new bad guy! and more of FI. And i agree with Smith. Im sure Oda will make everything clear sooner or later.
-
Great chapter as always. Good luck Sanji.
Crew separation is normal. it is hard to juggle that many characters. 3-4 people parties is good.
-
Not ONLY does this new fishman look like a mix of Kuma and Arlong, it also looks like Blackbeard!
Just kidding though. But geez, I thought Sanji was gonna explode when he saw Keimi and the rest of the mermaids. I really was expecting another nosebleed rocket and it's WEIRD that I was kinda disappointed that he didn't. Damn you Oda for conditioning me! And the Killifish are so cute! I also like when the crew dresses in not their usual outfits, like just the tshirt and pants. XD
Also, I predict that the crew will be separated into 3 groups. I don't now why, I'm just grasping at straws here, haha. I think Zoro, Brook, and Robin will be together and Nami and Franky will be together. Franky would try to find a recoater and Nami can help… since she knows some things about coating too. Zoro, Brook, and Robin could be on the Fishman side of town and they'll all meet up as a big happy family again and resolve any problems within FI
On second thought, they need to find Sunny first, so Nami could help by looking at the currents and seeing where Sunny would wash up! But that still would put a hole in my logic as to how Zoro could save both Robin and Brook... Ok, maybe they WON'T be separated into three, at least, not those two groups.
And that little mini comic at the end was a nice surprise. All the crew members are so cute XD I especially like Robin in that second panel. It's so out of place for her, haha

Well, two chapters ago the water pressure was supposed to be able to kill Zoro. Now they all drown, Nami, Usopp and the weaker DF users Robin and Chopper, if it wasn't for the stream, they would have had no problem, and Kamie luckily was there (I didn't understand her statement about the one month mistake) to save them all, at the right place at the exact right time. For whatever reason (???) the group has been split in at least two (?) and all they have to say is "well, they must be fine" when even them couldn't do anything to save their own lives !?
Next chapter: Arlong ate Jimbei.
-
wow, just great…
thx for the link! -

Luffy has faith in his crew. He, along with everyone else, knows that no one on the crew is gonna be killed that easily since they still have dreams to fulfill. Also, about the one month, she was supposed to meet them at SA after two years but she miscalculated, that's why she didn't guide them to FI safely.

@Zach:
That logo is Neptune's trident: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Neptune_(mythology)
Hmm… does that make "Boss" a deserter from this "Neptune Army" an undercover traitor to it, or something else?
Also, does this guy have a large shell, or are those ridges something on the left of his image merely an afro puff of some sort?
i'm kind of loving the blatant parallels between skypiea and this arc so far. lol we have camie pretty much fulfilling the role Conis had, and the term 'illegal entry' was thrown around…and now Sanji, Luffy, and Usopp are grouped up together again lol. great chapter!
Of course there are parallels, both are entrances to a new world filled with strange creatures, innovative character design, and unique local conflicts.
I'm more interested in the differences. Whereas Skypiea had a middle eastern holy land conflict vibe, the dominating cultural background of Fishman Island seems to be southern california. We have hot bikini girls, gyoverly hills, mansions, beach volleyball, designer brands, water highways, and the classic hollywood trope of the struggling waitress with super star friends. I'm wondering if the Fishmen district is going to be based on Compton?

Not really. The mermaids and fishmen are creatures of both the air and the water, but the surface is generally denied to them because of safety and political concerns. It makes perfect sense to me that they would fill their homes with air. Also, FI is a big tourist spot for anyone traveling to the New World by unofficial means. They'd have to cater to the pirates who pass through.
Also, loving the killifish mermaids. I really hope they color them properly in the anime:
-
I like how the mermaid quintuplets have "floating" tires made from bubbles ^^
http://mangastream.com/read/one_piece/32383345/12Also, great chapter. FI is definitely looking VERY promising so far. I really like that underwater theme, and I already know I'll be missing it for the rest of the series once the Straw Hats leave FI.
