Hi everyone let me tell you something about me, i'm a statistic whore.
This little obsession gave me an idea, it would be cool to know how the members of apforums would rate different mangas. I know there are different websites dedicated to this topic, but i - and i think a lot more members here- would like to know: "Whats the general taste of apforum members?".
Its clear that everyone here likes One Piece thats a good sign, but what's with all the other mangas out there? By observing a variety of threads i got the impression that a large number of members has a really good taste and i would like to prove it with statistics. Enough talking let me intoduce you to my idea: Recomendation
The first step is to make a list of mangas which are known or are considered classics. I made a quick list of titles that came to my mind. I would like to differentiate between the four major types of manga: Seinen, Shonen, Josei and Shojo. And it would be good to have 30-50 different mangas in this list. Recomendations for the list are welcome.
The second step is to rate the mangas from 1 to 10. One really important point of this step is that members, who didn't read one of the titles in this list shouln't rate it. This method can be used for evaluating the recognition of a manga.

One obvious drawback of this project is that the poll feature of the forum can't be used for it. To realize this idea, i thought that everyone, who would like to vote sends me an PM.
The last step is to make an excel table and visualize the results with diagrams and post it.
Now i would like to hear opinions, if i should develop this idea and i would like to know which mangas should be added to the list.
