I liked the previous episode you guys did, but the text size is a bit too large in this one.

It plays fine in media player classic as thats what we qc it using, the large subtitle text seems to be an error in vlc, you could try this to solve the issue
I do agree MPC has a better support for subtitles/ effects and videos so you might as well switch to that. but VLC users can also fix it by:

Disable your subtitle in VLC (go to Video -> subtitle track and disable)
click and move the new subtitle into your VLC or copy it next to the video file and it should be like the previous episode.It should look like this :
