If you haven't seen this movie, you should! It is quite amazing and original, especially if you like musicals!

It's the next Rocky Horror Picture Show. Some local art theaters even show it before the regularly scheduled RHPS showings they have.
The story is allright, but the music is just plain awful. It's as bad as the Sweeney todd soundtrack.
But once i stopped expecting y'know les miserables type of music, and settled in for an " maybe it's good for an opera" mindset it actualy got a little more bearable.
Maybe the genetic opera bit should've tipped me off to what they music was gonna be, but yeah my buddy had sold it to me on the pretenses of a musical. That and i'm stupid.
But… Paris Hilton's face FALLS OFF that's worth the price of admission ^__^
I liked Sweeney Todd, so this interests me.
I love the style of music, even if it is a bit strange. For being such a low-budget film they did a pretty good job with it. They actually had to cut a lot of scenes and music out. The original musical soundtrack has like 64 tracks on it.
And I actually loved Paris Hilton in this, she looks better with black hair, personally. Also, you have to admit Anthony Stewart Head was awesome in this! Freaking Giles!
I'd like to see the original 10 min. short film one day.
Like Rocky Horror, there are shadow cast showings, where people act out the movie while its playing. They did one this year at Yule Con, some company called "Amber Does Dallas". They were awesome and made watching the movie really entertaining with the audience participation thing. I'd definitely go to another one of those shows!

The jury is still out on whether or not AST was truly awesome in this.
On onehand the man has an incredible voice, acts his heart out in a pretty interesting role and just slams every scene he's in with his great stage presence.
But to me it's just disturbing as hell watching jolly ol' Giles gut people. And not even with those vocal cords can't he make anything really happen with the music.
@ wolfwood - I actually loved AST's transformation from a doting father to a psycho killer. The scene where he sings "Legal Assassin" is just brilliant. And yes it is highly disturbing that while he is getting ready to slice up a victim, he puts some music on and pulls the guy's guts out. Not to mention playing with his vocal cords, lol.
To be fair, I would not want to live in a twisted world like this, but its certainly interesting.
I just found the movie soundtrack yesterday and I've been listening to it almost nonstop! u Its the 22 track version, pretty much all the songs that were in the movie except there are a few extras that were not filmed.
Zydrate Anatomy is still my favorite song <3 Also Blind Mag's song at the end, "Chromaggia" is so beautiful and so sad. I got the lyrics and translation, so I could figure out what her song was about.
