Definitely Dokapon Kingdom.
Fun as hell game too if you ever enjoyed the atmosphere of getting friends together for Mario Party but think the series is too stale and want to spice up your desire to regret everything.
One time we got a bunch of people together online to play the Wii version. We had an impartial host livestream the game and we'd relay our commands and decisions to him and while kind of clunky it was honestly just about as fun as playing it in person.

I love playing the Japanese party games, especially when the beers have been flowing. Mario Party is fun enough when drunk. But One Piece Pirate Carnival is just insane when you are drunk and have no idea how you are supposed to play it.

Oh thanks guys, yea that's the one. I played the ds version awhile back and was looking it up. Dokapon Journey, but might get kingdom, invite a few friends over, bust out the alcohol and let the good times roll.

No it's not you the series has notorious history of being difficult but usually not because of it's controls.
I've often wondered about that myself; seems like being supported by people who only want you there so the world can end in fire (with you going to Hell in the process) would be somewhat off-putting

Got the Wii U version. The regular mode is difficult. But there is also a casual mode for those who just want to experience the story.
It was a pretty decent game too. Especially liked the Ayane parts. Reminded me of a being a kid on a bouncy castle…..

I meant controls as in the square button doesn't do shit while the triangle one is the one chopping off limbs and heads left and right. Speaking of which, there was no combo possibility for the triangle button, leading to continuous one-hit attacks which clearly sucks. The square button managed to at least create a combo but while I was executing it, I got killed by the other dudes stabbing me in the back. If I at least had attacks that covered somewhat bigger areas (or at least a group of 3-4 chars) I could've worked with that but the way it was in the game, I kept losing. Granted I haven't played any of the other games of the series but still, usually I'm not that bad when trying out a new game… whatever, I'll be skipping it. Still thanks for the answer, bro.

To be honest, the demo you posted…over-the-top. TOO MUCH emotion.
If that's what Nvidia thinks peoples faces look like when showing emotion, then, they need to get out more.

My two cents, it's pretty impressive. As a tech demo it demonstrates pretty well how much the facial parts are interconnected and shows pretty well how much movement within the face is possible. Given that it's pretty exaggerated for the purpose of demonstration I'd be more interested in seeing it in action and how well it can simulate subtility and not just the extremes.
I'm also not sure where to place this in the uncanny valley of facial animation, are we skipping the whole valley or will this tech land somewhere within that.

I was referring to the fact that you didn't ask yourself why it was so over the top, it's a tech demo is the answer. I don't even think it was so over the top… some of the expressions conveyed stress/concern/worriedness through pretty subtle movements. No extremely crazy faces were made for the most part, even though they did keep repeating this fake-looking huge puffy-cheek smile.

Yey thanks for totally missing the point. But so you can feel like you won an argument that was never there to begin with, I should point out that I didn't disagree anywhere with you on it looking fake or over the top to you. So with no one opposing that point, there is nothing to agree or disagree on.

As for your david cage comment that's just silly. From a developers perspective it didn't look as capable as the nvidia one but than everyone that has some common sense is surely aware that the demo might not have even shown the tip of what it would be capable of, and even more important it might still be a work in progress. So there is no real point to argue which was better other than the joy one might get out of "my daddy is stronger than your daddy" debate, personally not my thing though.

Alright I saw this vid and became interested as this game has a very Arkham City esq feel to it.

The PS4 demo had much less expression on the face. They pretty much just messed with the guy's eyes. It was also against a black background while the Nvidia demo has a background, as blurred as it is. If this gets released to the public (which is doubtful anytime soon since it apparently was using 50% of the power of Nvidia's new Titan GPU) you should be able to get rid of the DoF to see the background, similar to with the fairy demo. Overall the difference between the two is kind of small, but the amount of expression as the lighting in Nvidia's looked much more impressive than Cage's.

I think to put much of what you're saying concisely: The demo was intended to demonstrate the r****ange of possible facial movements, positions, and expressions. Not to show a slideshow of believable every-day expressions. It's a tech demo, not an artistic demo. Clearly with the ranges shown, shifting from any expression to any other expression that falls between the extremes is trivial from a technical standpoint.

They should totally do Dragon Quest VIII HD for it considering that was their first major title after the merger. Not their first release or anything, but it was the major property of Enix.

So I broke and chimed in maybe some of you decide to do the same in memory of planescape: torment probably the best story that was written for those kind of rpgs.

Kickstarter funded game Cryamore has a prototype out. It looks really promising, and it reminds me a bit of Brave Fencer Musashi. Well, the hud and use of abilities that is.

Oh, this is really neat, I hadn't heard about it at all. Planescape was an absolutely amazing game, so if this is really going to be a spiritual successor to it, I can't help but look forward to when it eventually comes out.

Been playing a lot of Team Fortress 2 lately, addicted to the map 2Fort. Apparently it's considered a "crappy" map by some crowds but I love it. It has a rather nice mix of terrain, from water to sewers to an intelligence room. Plus it's really easy for me to just pound snipers across the map with rockets and that's not quite as easy to do on a lot of maps. Just shoot once, rocket jump over to them, and boom they're dead and I'm in the base. I usually wait a bit to do this 'cause otherwise there's tons of enemies on top of the bridge coming after me. If you're quick enough there'll be only a level 1 sentry in the enemy base.
Also as an Engineer I'm having way, way too much fun building level 3 sentries either in the sewers or under the water on 2Fort. No one expects it (at least on the servers I've played) and I always get a few kills on them before they try to dismantle them.
