I finaly found something I was looking for a while .

Any fellow Queen fans will remember 39 is a song sung by Brian May on the "Night at the Opera" album . Suprprisingly I never knew that Freddie actualy sang this too , mostly at concerts . It took me over a year to find that version again .

Has anyone else never heard of these before ?

Bands do different stuff at live concerts all the time. Different people singing, or songs the band didn't create, completely different instrumentals. Particular when tourning and they may not have everyone available that was on the actual album.

It's how they keep it fresh for themselves.

Elton John's Bohemian Rhapsody is pretty interesting.

If that's a concert version then….I dunno , I kinda dislike it when they have the cd audio playing from a machine while doing a concert .

One great thing about Queen was they aparently didn't like doing stuff on playback , as far as I know . However , there are bands who , even if they have all the instruments there , just won't .

Anyways , I would say May's 39 is sung better , but it is a studio edited title . Stil , nice novelty .

I once even found a vid of Freddie singing a christmass song . Was not realy....blown away or anything , but it was kinda nice .

            Granted, Axl completely kills it.

                Ah, Queen… my lifelong obsession.

I too have always preferred Brian May singing it, but there's a pretty decent Freddie version on Live Killers that's worth checking out!

The saddest thing about Queen is that Bohemian Rhapsody is far from the best thing they've ever done

And they have done exceptional things.

But it has become such a pop phenomenon that A Night at the Opera can never escape it.

Agreed. Actually, I find the albums before and directly after to be much stronger. I mean, Queen II? It defines 'epic' for me.
