Well, I'm quitting my job as groundskeeper for a school to attend the local police academy… In truth, I fear I don't have what it takes to become a cop, and am actually making a massively bad decision.

I am a law student and I often have doubts that it's the thing for me.

Truth be told,it was pretty much the decision of my parents,but I can't complain about being having anything forced on me,because I never had,like,anything in mind.Still don't,and that sorta scares me a little.

I didn't use training wheels to learn how to ride a bicycle. And I was learning on a full size bicycle at 7 years old. At that time, in my place, everyone learned like that.
By the time my younger brother grew up, he learned on a mid-size kiddie bike. With training wheels.

My uncle made bikes using scrap parts from scratch. So as you can guess, it looked really terrible with some awful paintjob.
Everyone else in the area had brand new ones, but never really knew how to ride them. Atleast down a hill at full speed.
The training wheels on mine broke off after extended use, so my uncle decided to remove them and dared me to ride it(since we was out of scrap training wheels).

Funny story about your brother. It sort of reminds me of grown kids that ride these tiny bikes in this neighborhood. I think it was some kind of ironic gangster thing.

I'm in the same situation, though I'm more questioning whether or not I should join the army. My family is certainly pressuring me to, and the benefits seem tempting enough.
But I'll tell you this. Anyone is capable of anything they set themselves to. As long as your body and mind is able, you can train it. I mean, I've seen people that I thought were unfit for certain occupations destroy those expectations or delusions I had. You just gotta want it badly enough.

Working overtime at work and it makes me want to kill majority of the population. Seriously don't call my office just to tell me "taxes are unfair", you're wasting my time because my office enforces the shit, we don't make it. Seriously when some dumb 50 year old penny squeezer is reading me her grocery list to verify what is taxable or not and trying to argue with logical fallacies (ie why is sugar taxable but not cooking oil!?), it makes me lose any and all types of sympathy towards you as an individual and wish death harder on you then the collapse of a star.

It really irks me when I have to deal with people who are the definition of leeches. I had one women with a 15k income, with 9 dependents, she litterally made more off her deductions than she did off her unemployment >_>; (21k iirc)

My mom had a bill (in my name) she told me she had paid. Every time I asked her she had promised me she paid it. I told her I'd get it but she assured me she had it. I trusted her and forgot all about it because the collection calls stopped and I got busy with my new job. It just went to collections (and then she paid it in full).

She is now also skipping out on the remaining debt from when her dog attacked my dog and chewed a hole in her side. I told her exactly how much it costs, that it needed to be paid in 6 months, and what it would cost each month. The last couple of months she paid a small amount, because she kept blowing all of her money on online shopping and said she was out of money. I already have to pay the remainder of my giant root canal next month, so I'm probably going to have 2 months of not being able to pay my credit card at the amount I need.

I also end up not qualifying for this health tax credit for my COBRA payments last year, which would've given me $900 and allowed me to have my CC paid off by October.

I also still have $800 in medical bills thanks to my shitty old insurance that submitted paid claims (which I paid the remainder) to my doctor and dentist… and then sent me $400 bills each 6 months after the fact. Those I have a bit more flexibility in stretching out, but that's just another thing to add to the shit pot.

My credit score has tanked, and it's going to take ages to come back up to where I had it. My car is entering dangerous waters, and I was hoping that after I got my CC paid off (and tax return next year) I'd finally get a new car... but now it's going to take even longer (here's hoping my car lasts).

Until I get that CC paid off there isn't much wiggle room in my budget after other bills and gas and food... I have stressed and stressed on keeping my credit score high to make things so much easier for myself and now I feel like things are going to be ruined. Maybe I'm overreacting, but I don't think I will ever find peace and happiness in my life until I get as far away from my family as possible (for other reasons). I feel crushed and like an absolute failure... I have killed myself lately forcing myself to budget and finally finding contentment in keeping budget and not friviously spending, which is a huge accomplishment, but now I feel like i'm being crushed and suffocated by debt. The CC is totally my fault and I accept full responsibility and suffering for the remainder of the year for paying it down... But you gotta love it when other people can't keep their word or have the decency to flat out tell you no.... especially when the person is your mother. She might not care about paying her bills until collections is knocking down her door, but that doesn't fly for me.

My parents, not me, are upper middle class. Considering how taxes are raping my fathers paycheck. I am in fact, lower middle class, by myself, with a measily 35-40k salary. I do have to pay rent ($500), though I recently convinced said rent to stop so I could invest into my roth IRA, and pay for my trip to scotland, but you're all assuming I'm entitled to my dad's salary, which is not the case. I don't think he's personally bought me anything besides my bday/christmas. Not saying he's a jerk, I'm aware that I'm leeching alot of things (godly internet for one), and I'm content with the little I personally own, which is like a car, a bed, a computer, a tv, and that's about it. EDIT: Oh and a high quality watch

Oh and delivering my own sense of justice is my hobby, and uh…the whole porn thing, I stopped doing that like 7-8 years ago, SO A LOT OF ASSUMPTIONS.
