I'm not too sure yet but i know there has to be one.
But I can't say that all of Oda's work is wonderful!
But there must be atleast 1 volume that didn't match up to all of the other good ones.

usually all volumes have at least a single very good part… but some, personally, are unmatched.
skypea and alabasta ending volumes are top notch. logue town\first grand line would be my choice for worst volume. (i don`t know the exact numbers, here in brazil 2 vols = 1 vol japanese)
maybe some mod can change the title to least favorite vol beacuse none vols are bad. i have with vol 3 or 14 i didnt like little garden that much but nothing really happened in 3 other than they met usopp and kicked buggy's ass
Yeah I shouldn't say "worst" volume. Maybe "Least Favourite"
I wouldn't even say "Least Favorutite" XD.
Anyway, if I have to choose, I will have to say book 1 probably.
Book 7. I just can't stand reading the Baratie arc again. It was so boring and lame…
I'd agree on 7. But mainly because I really don't like Pearl, surfer dude or not.
But for front pages, Volume 3's was pretty boring.
I third that. I couldn't stand Baratie. There was no Usopp/Nami action and the plot was kinda lame. I couldn't help but speed read through it.
My "Least Favorutite" book is 21… I can't stand to Luffy be hurt.....by Croc.
Of the first six, I found the least enjoyment in No. 2. I felt the Buggy fight was paced to carry on just slightly too long (as if to leave a cliffhanger so I'd have to buy No. 3).
I rather liked No. 6. 4 and 5 gave Usopp a nobility he never had in the dub.
Least favorite, Don Kreig Arc, the "the most feared man on the East Sea" is lam, not a DFer, just strong because of weopons, lame fight with Luffy.
Don Krieg is the future.
Devil Fruits are a limited resource, with limited power, sky-high price, and the water problem. More and more people will gain strength from science, and this will only become more noticable once the power of the scientific enhancements laps that of the fruits– a telescoping metal arm might be better than a rubber arm because it's less prone to being snapped around, for example, and a body which broke into parts with their own life support system, pain may not need to be transferred.
In a way, it's an interesting opposition to DF powers.
The DF eaters, I also note, seem less cruel to their men than comparable scientifcally enhanced people. Compare Kuro, DK, and Morgan with Smoker, Alvida, and Buggy. The last two may be cruel, but not killing-cruel.
Crushing someone's skull with a mace because they didn't dust the stern of the ship properly is Not Cruel? Glad I don't clean house for you!

One word; Crocodile.
Yeah.
The DF users not cruel? Then WTF is Ener? XD
@sagarenko:

that isnt in 21 is it isnt it in 19 or 20. 21 is where sanji nami and zoro have there fights. 22 is where luffy gets defeated the second time.
um the 1st few volumes cuz the characters looked odd
but i love them all

Ener and Croc are of thousands of characters who I've heard of, but don't know yet. I guess there's a little bit of comic edge about the DF eaters I mentioned, like somehow I can't take Alvida clobbering her crewmen as seriously as Morgan demanding they shoot themselves.
(okay, complete speculation, see below). Perhaps I'm misidentifying what's going on. Maybe it's not about DF vs. scientific enhancement, but rather "contact with the outside world". Ener, AFAICT, is treated as a god-king, and Morgan was pretty much unquestioned… but it doesn't explain Kuro.
<.< >.> ^.^ v.v :head explodes:
Damn my tendency to analysis.
I think I should change my signature to "has only read the first seven books, all comments on further are based on hearsay."
Haha, you should read longer in the serie before thinking about this stuff then.

I still don´t understand why you haven´t tried to read the other volumes online so far. This thread gives you all the information you need to find the scanslations. And if some of the scanslations appear foul to you, then you can always check Stephen´s translations for adecuate translations. A link to his site is in the very same thread.
You should really read the stuff online, because if you wait until Viz releases all the manga´s that came out so far at least five years will have passed.
hmm the most boring books would have to be all the ones where they are in skypiea,
but still the worst parts of OP are better than most other series

Let me draw you a picture.
:sketches old 56k external modem:
The volumes seem to be 30-50Mb. Even assuming my connection held, it would be faster to wait for Viz. I went through the five volumes I ordered last week (3-7) in three days, so I'd have to figure out a way to squeeze 70Mb or more per day through a 56k straw to keep up.

Well in that case there´s always this site you can go to. It takes a lot longer to read through a chapter then when you would have downloaded on your hard drive but hey, it should be perfect for 56k external modem users. Hope that helps.
I have 56kb too. I read from the beginning of the Alabasta arc till like chapter 350 in half a year, the most nights went to reading OP then.

Good job! That´s the spirit!
You see Bounty1Berry. With the 56k Modem you´ll be able to read the chapter for a longer amount of time, instead of us poor fellows who always have to spend a week of poor boredom while we are waiting for the next chapter to come out. It is really burden to have read everything that came out already. lol

Alvida didn't have a DF power in the first encounter with Luffy..
after getting a DF power, she seemed to be alot nicer.

i reckon it's because she lost weight waaa ha ha ha. i don't think there has been really anything that bad so far in the volume… if you're still reading/watching the anime/manga it obviously means it hasn't been that bad for anyone to stop.

waaa ha ha ha.
It´s probably because of the consequences of this process. However what these consequences are, I shall better not mention here. I leave that to everyone´s own interpretation.
The volume I don't like? Water Seven Arc 34-36.

serious im quite enjoying water 7 arc!!! what don't you like about this arc…?
The Baratie volumes. It's boring in untie the Don Krieg battle. Also the Louge Town chapters ar boring also. 2 Laboon chapters is also boring, the early Little Garden chapters is boring untie they faced Mr. 3.
serious

Serious actually. I found Water Seven Arc to be my least favorite, in both anime and manga. I think maybe I just don't like it because a lot of seperation happened in the group when before that, everyone seemed to like to be with each other. I found other arc, even the beginning arc like Morgan Arc or Kuro Arc more enjoyable. I do like One Piece overall, but rating from overall, this is the arc I found most unenjoyable.:frown:
wow thats a shocker. oh well

But unenjoyable has nothing to do with the quality of an arc. It was unpleasant because you were upset? Then Oda hit the mark. Your effectivly complementing Water7, its effective, it draws out your emotions.
Least favorite volume. 2.
I've given reasons for my Buggy arc hate in the past. On my first ever read through I noticed a severe drop in quality as soon as chapter 8 began.
2 holds the brunt of Buggy, so its my least.
Really. I happen to think W7 is the best yet. I was even mad during the mansion attack.
Anyway, my least favorite is volume 3. I never thought much of the Buggy fight, and Kuro arc was my least favorite. 4 would be second least favorite.
If I was the same person I was when I started the series, I'd probably agree with Volume 7. I hated Baratie and thought the fight with Krieg took way too damn long. But, now I see that the Baratie was a pretty awesome arc, and I'd have to say that besides the various Usopp/Jango antics, the Kuro arc was really goddamn boring. Kuro was just an asshole with a trick.
i thought the buggy arc was very good..kept me on the edge..not so much as the kuro arc..and baratie was clever..and it led into the arlong arc..but my leas fav arc is the battles with wapol…
For me my least favorite volumes are 16 and 31. I love the flashbacks Oda has and most of them are awesome, however once the flashback lasts more than 3 chapters it just gets kinda less exciting…...
did u hate chopper's past?
I don't think he hates - he just enjoyed them the least.
My choices are between 12 - 14 and 29 - 33. I rarely pick those volumes, 12-14 felt unpolished and 29-33 were just too much. Baratie volumes takes the third prize, thanks to Krieg.
I hated Krieg and considered him ghey, but he made a good villain. also, when he said "When someone gets angry over being called weak, thats when they realize they are weak."
That was awesome.
I also liked Gin alot, he acted alot like me sometimes. I felt very sorry for him. >_> And anything with Sanji appearing first has to own. I also loved the Mihawk fight the first few times. That rocked.
Personally, I'm the only one who didn't like the Arlong Arc that much >_> but hey. I'd take the volume with the green haired afro in a box, because that story was incredibly gay.
The worst to me has to be some of the Skypeia volumes though, I really didn't like skypeia much until the end with the flashback with Norland.
Aw… poor Whiskey Peak.....its well polished?
But I agree about Little Garden.
Whiskey Peak was a bit lacking, but certainly far from bad. It was pretty good because it introduced you to Baroque Works.
Whats wrong with Little Garden? >_> Broggy owns
