I like the AR games better than the two games I bought(SSF4, Nintendogs). The AR archery is pretty fun. I unlocked a second level of the archery that was actually kind of challenging.
Also, I bought a cuckoo clock with my game coins and the cuckoo bird really pops right out of the screen and if you get too close, it simulates cracking the screen lol. I also bought a globe that shows my position on earth. You can shoot the globe and at first, nothing happens, but if you keep shooting it, it eventually explodes lol. It was kind of surprising, though you have to buy a new one after it explodes.
I thought the AR shot was a bit challenging on the first level, so the second level I unlocked ought to be a lot of fun.
I only lightly dabbled in AR graffiti and AR tools. AR graffiti is just that. You can draw 3D images in the air. AR tools lets you alter the surfaces around the AR card similar to the different stages in AR shot.
I messed around with Star pics a little too. Nothing much there. Just a little extra thing to show of the 3D I guess.
I'm curious to see if there will an actual expansive game that makes great use of this part of the technology. Nintendogs is compatible with the AR card, but it is only a tiny part of the game. A game developer could really get creative with this. If we don't see any game developers making use of this tech, I am at least hoping for some downloadable content from Nintendo that expands on the AR card games and maybe even another Face Raiders type game.
I am probably going to trade in SSF4 when I go to buy a new game, whenever that may be. Depending on how far along I am with Nintendogs, I might trade that in too. I beleive Zelda OoT is coming out in June and I already preordered it. I heard rumors that Starfox and Kid Icarus are out on May 6th, but that seems weird that two big games would come out on the same day. Whatever happens, I need some good, expansive games soon.
