Just because his body splits in half, doesn't mean he doesn't have equiptment. This is One Piece after all.
Clearly this is an issue we have to discuss with Oda in an SBS. XD
We're into Franky's genitalia, again?
We need ch. 378, and fast!
i had this discussion with kalei. we agreed it's either:
1. retractable
2. detachable
i'd go for the 2nd one, personally. it's PLUG AND PLAY. XD
@e1n:

Argh! I just had the worst thought for a SSxFranky doujin. XD
dude, he can handle more than two. can you say "octopus?"
hey, maybe that's what he spent 194M beri on. various types of plug n play devices.
Ok.. we definitely need 378, STAT!
Nah, he spent it bribing gov't officials for info on Tom.
This Friday or next? I'm confoosed…
@Mog:
Oh wait, Franky doesn't seem to have genitals to begin with…
I´m sure that he was even thinking for that when he was creating his cyborg body.
EDIT: I just had to post this picture here.

Hahaha. I seem to remember having this discussion before too. I can't help but remember the song "Detachable Penis" by King Missle . Although maybe that should be Buggy's song.
Anyyyywaaays…on a subject not related to Franky's privates...
I noticed that those three large Frankies seemed to be half way between a human size and a Giant size. Could they be half-giants? I studied the picture where the Giants meet the Frankies, and the height difference (Only visually.) between the regular Frankies and thoese large Frankies seems to be about the same percentage-wize as the height difference between the large Frankies and the giants.
Maybe those big Frankies know the way to Elbaf.

I don´t know, judging from their physics they appear to be just large human freaks.
I can understand a half-orc but… How a giant mate with a human or a fishman anyway  !?
Well, as long as the mother was the Giant, there wouldn't be a problem… Or maybe they aren't freakishly large humans, they might be giants with a growth deficency. Either way I think that they must have giant blood in them, or they are pre-pubecent giants. Just some rambling thoughts...
Try to figure out the Nebraska family in Trigun. XD
What is it with anime and freakishly huge people? And then there's the the totally round people too, like Satori, and that one guy in the Franky Family where even his head is part of one big round orb.
Either way I think that they must have giant blood in them, or they are pre-pubecent giants. Just some rambling thoughts…
There's probably just an intermediate size of human between regular people and giants. Whitebeard is probably as tall as the Destroyers when he stands up and we've seen other people who are close to that range like Jerry.
The new chapter is tomarrow right?
But, what about all that stuff on the chapter coming out on monday?
@Don:
The new chapter is tomarrow right?
Seriously what are you aiming for? If we say yes and it doesn´t come out then you´ll ask again. If we say yes and it comes out then you will ask for the next chapter. If we say no, then you´ll ask when it will be coming out. Can´t you just be patient?
I understand that you want to read it. We all want to! But what does it change when you know the date it comes out? You seem to be hanging around here all the time so you´ll notice when it comes out even without asking, so what would the release date information change in you habbits? Just be patient, it´ll come. Aswell as many more afterwards!!!
@Don:
But, what about all that stuff on the chapter coming out on monday?
It probably comes out on Monday IN JAPAN, but it takes a few days for the people who scan it to recieve it. Then they may have things more pressing on their mind like classes, work, feeding the family, etc… If you want it so badly, you can do the following things:
1. hire someone to ship it same day airmail from Japan to your house weekly.
2. Learn Japanese.
Otherwise wait awhile, it's not the apoclypse if the next chapter is a little late. I want it now too, but I know that it will come when it comes. (IMHO, you only have a right to ask when it comes question if you have a legal paid subscription.)
I'm suddenly reminded of Ashlee Simpson.
Don Krieg is like a little kid I'm afried:
"Guys, guys, guys
When is the chapter coming out?
When is the chapter coming out?
When is the chapter coming out?
When is the chapter coming out?
When is the chapter coming out?
When is the chapter coming out?
When is the chapter coming out?
When is the chapter coming out?
Huh? Huh? Huh? Huh?"
To Don Krieg: No offenese in that, just my kind of experiance I learned form children. To be serious can you just wait patiant? I want the chapter to come out too also, I would check this fourm hoping to find a spoiler or chapters but do you see me asking over and over and over? Relax and be a cool guy not a poor boy(No offense. I dealt with this problem and I know how a "poor boy" works. Believe me you don't want to be one.)
I'm suddenly reminded of Ashlee Simpson.
WHOA! No need to go that far, Buc. I mean, yes, acting like a lost child in a large shopping center is not the way go to about things here, but that…that name is not to be tossed around lightly.

sometimes there's no other way than that….
um.. however...
I liked the chapter and I'm looking forward to the next chap.. BUT...
how many marines are there? ôO

Actually the chapter we get Thursday/Friday trypically is the one that will come out the /following/ Monday in Jump in Japan. So really we're getting it early, at least that's how it was when I was living in Tokyo.
YOU lived in Tokyo!?
Hahaha. I seem to remember having this discussion before too. I can't help but remember the song "Detachable Penis" by King Missle . Although maybe that should be Buggy's song.
Oh my god I was just singing that in my head, too.
Heh, I have it on my hard drive.
Whoa, Wild Seven, that avatar is a little big.
how many marines are there? ôO
The Marine at the end of the chapter said that there were about ten thousand of them. He could be exaggerating, but I don't know why he would be.
Has it ever said who their commanding officer is?
With this many men, it should be at least a Rear Admiral. Spandam could be in charge, but the Marines and Cipher Pol have a seperate hierarchy and there should be a flag officer in charge, even if the facility is technically under Spandam's control.

Is ther any chance that it's Garp?

Um, I've always thought it was a bit curious why there's been no sign of Cipher Pol No. 8?! I mean, they would be the highest ranked unit of the officially recognized Cipher Pols. So perhaps they're overseeing security operations on the main island?!
But anyways, I'd be surprised if they don't show up in some capacity before this arc ends.
@Octogon:
Is ther any chance that it's Garp?
It's possible, but you'd think that Oda would already have shown him if it were somebody that we already knew.

It's possible; the various CP agents we've seen so far at the Lobby could be Cipher Pol No. 8. On the other hand, they are the World Government's intelligence branch, so there should be at least a few cells out doing just that. Pluton is not the only thing the World Government has to worry about after all, I wouldn't be surprised if they had at least one unit dedicated to tracking down Dragon.
They probably have some agents watching certain pirates as well, look at how quickly the Gorosei were aware that Shanks had expressed a desire to meet with Whitebeard.

I´m sure that there will be some higher ranker marines among Enies Lobby since even though Spandam might have the saying at the moment, there must be some sort of hirarchy among the marines.
The reasons why we didn´t see them might be simple; Oda doesn´t want to give away everything at one time. I mean one chapter ago we didn´t even know that there are giants guarding the Island Gate and now they are there…DO-N!!!
Same might apply for some higher ranked marine officers. Enies Lobby has a total men strength of 10.000 and I think that half of them is marines. I would really find it hard to believe if among 5.000 marine officers they would all have the same rank. I mean we have seen marine units with a much smaller amount of men strength and all of them had some ranking hirarchy. So I´m sure that with time we will see at least one marine character that is higher ranked then the rest.
@Octogon:
Is ther any chance that it's Garp?
I say the chances are slim. He´s appears to be a Vice-Admiral who´s stationed at the Marine HQ. We´ve even seen him there at the end of Jango´s title page story. Therefore I wouldn´t think that he is now at Enies Lobby. However I think (and hope) that he could be one of the five Buster Call Vice-Admirals.
Rank doesn't always mean power anyway. Some people get rank by being, you know, smart, or hard workers. Just because they have Marines of various ranks doesn't mean we're going to see more pwnsome fights… we have enough already on the plate.

It was never about power, just about having a guy who is higher ranked then the rest. No matter who it would be, there´s no doubt that Luffy would own him easily. Luffy´s aim is not to kick a specific marine captain´s (or what rank ever) ass but Lucci´s. Therefore a fight with a higher ranked marine officer wouldn´t mean much. But it would be nice to have some outstanding characters among 10.000 marines and government agents. At least Zanbai, Kiwi, Moz, Lulu, Tilestone and especially Paulie would require some enemies that aren´t just random dudes. And as much as I want to see a Rope-Action-Hattori-Strangulation I would hope to see Paulie fight a real adversary first.
I'm sure that the cp8 fighters will show themselves pretty soon. Probably in the administration building.
Don't forget that eneas lobby is a fortress and the cp9 are not the only strong governement fighters .
One question though. Why does everybody consider CP8 as the second strongest Cipher Pol after CP9? It has never been established that the numeric order works the opposite way in terms of strenght as it was the case for Baroque Works agents so I´m curious.
Is is because Jerry was from CP6 and Wanze from CP7? I mean Nero was a CP9 newbe and didn´t prove useful. So if CP8 is the second strongest why wasn´t he put there?
I´m just curious where the entire argument comes from since so far it was only established that there is 8 regular Cipher Pols and with CP9 being the special ninght one. There wasn´t anything said about the strenght rank among the 8 regular Cipher Pol´s.

let's call it the shonen way of thinking.
Remember that the power of the fighters was increasing in the train ? Don't tell me that you don't see the difference of level between jerry , wanze and nero ?
CP8 was officialy the last cp and judging by the difference of strength level between cp6 and cp7 we can say that cp8 was the strongest before the creation of cp9 who is the actual strongest .
Why the cp8 was not in the train ? If all the strong cp's leave eneas lobby it would be a problem , all the cp9 were in mission except Spandam who is a cp9 too , who would guard the place against attacks ?
We will see if the cp8 exist or if it's just a legend in the future chapters:laugh: but i would'nt be surprised if they popped up from nowhere like those 2 giants did .
Remember we are only in the second courtyard anything can happen ! Don't underestimate the justice island .=)
Hah, well said, igalsfy.
Is is because Jerry was from CP6 and Wanze from CP7? I mean Nero was a CP9 newbe and didn´t prove useful. So if CP8 is the second strongest why wasn´t he put there?
In terms strength it seemed like Corgi had them positioned in Puffing accordingly, going by his run down of the carriages in ch. 362.
While CP6 & 7 are comprised mainly of goons, they both have one main fighter ("Leaders", if you wanna call them that) & in terms of overall fighting skill & ability and even perhaps power!? You'd probably have to concede Wanze >>>> Jerry, in light of what we've seen.
I´m just curious where the entire argument comes from since so far it was only established that there is 8 regular Cipher Pols and with CP9 being the special ninght one. There wasn´t anything said about the strenght rank among the 8 regular Cipher Pol´s.
While I agree, there's no substantial evidence to suggest exactly how the regular Cipher Pols units rank in terms of overall importance to the Government. On the flip-side there's no evidence to say they don't rank from 1 being the lowest & eight being the highest/most important. I guess, it's just how you call it in the end.
CP8 could very well be the strongest CP. Why? Well firstly, there were no CP8 people stationed on the train. If they were weaker than CP9, I find it very weird that this is the case. Secondly, CP9 is the "secret" CP, CPs 1-8 are the "official" ones, and there's no reason why a secret one should be stronger than the official ones.
let's call it the shonen way of thinking.
Of all the responses to my question, I have to say that is the only logic answer.
Remember that the power of the fighters was increasing in the train ? Don't tell me that you don't see the difference of level between jerry , wanze and nero ?
Nero was semi-CP9 so he shouldn´t count here. Otherwise I agree that there is an evident strenght difference between Wanze and Jerry but yet I still don´t think that this is evidence enough to prove the difference in strenght between entire CP6 and entire CP7. We all already know that Lucci is the strongest CP9 member which means no matter how strong the others are they are weaker. So why shouldn´t Jerry be the weakest one of CP6 and Wanze the strongest of CP7? Don´t see any plausible reasons for it. And as for a possible explenation why they used Jerry then, the other´s probably had missions of their own. This is a huge world after all and it wouldn´t make much sense to put all Cipher Pols in the same mission. Not even entire CP9 was taking part in that mission.
I´m sorry but that is a very weak argument. If you take CP8´s abscence on the train as any indicator for strenght level then I could say that that CP1, CP2, CP3, CP4 and CP5 are equally strong to CP8 since they weren´t present on the train either.
Other than that the reason why a secret one should be stronger then the others is because it purely exists for special secret missions that may be not enough to take by the official ones. They have the right to kill anyone who disobey´s the government and these are not just innocent citizens so I´d say that the WG includes the strongest CP agents they´ve got into the special secret one.
Weeel. The reason I believe CPs 1-5 aren't strong is cos in ascending order from 6-7, there are officials. If it was 4 and 2 and 7 and something, I'd say it was pretty random. Also, the increase in strength is kinda obvious. CPs 1-5 just give the impression that their too weak to be there…. Although CP1 could actually be the strongest since sometimes, 1 is best. Whatever the case, absence of CP8 is suspicious because 6 and 7 are there in ascending order too. Eh also, we see the great power rift between CP9 and the other CPs. This also gives the impression on bigger number, stronger warrior. However, AGAIN, as mentioned, CP8 wasn't on the train. Instead, 6 and 7 were. Why?
Other than that the reason why a secret one should be stronger then the others is because it purely exists for special secret missions that may be not enough to take by the official ones.
Not entirely true. It could exist to be the ones who would kill. Say assuming, and ONLY assuming, the government wanted to legally kill somebody, they would send in CP9 instead of CP8 even though CP8 might do the job just as well, even better (though illegally of course).
Anywayyy we haven't seen any of the other CPs other than 6, 7, and 9 who all show signs of increasing strength. So not to make judgement so quick would be wise.
CP8 could very well be the strongest CP.
I didn't say they are. I'm not trying to play word games, just that I'm not saying "most probably", instead "there is a possibility". Hope you get me.. ><
Why the cp8 was not in the train ? If all the strong cp's leave eneas lobby it would be a problem , all the cp9 were in mission except Spandam who is a cp9 too , who would guard the place against attacks ?
10,000 marines, perhaps?
I'm with you Ivotas. I've yet to see any indication that CP1-8 have any difference in power. I think it's safe to assume that CP9, the 'secret' CP unit is the strongest of all the CPs, but this means nothing for the other 8. All we really know about the other CP units is what Iceburgh said when CP9 was revealed to him. CP1-8 are government agents that are stationed around the world gathering intelligence for the World Government. That leads me to believe that CP units are numbered like army units; the number simply designates which division they are a part of, it has nothing to do with any difference of strength. I may be wrong since Wanze was clearly stronger than Jerry, but I don't think this one comparison is enough evidence to say that CPs are ranked according to strength.
It's obvious that the strongest unit is CP2.
Er, I mean, I don't think 1-8 correlates with strength. Comparing Jerry to Wanze is f'ing stupid. Allow me to explain why.
You're comparing TWO PEOPLE. There's a 50/50 chance that 7 is stronger than 6, and also a 50/50 chance that 6 is stronger than 7. It HAS TO BE ONE. If Jerry ended up stronger than Wanze, by that 50/50 chance, would you go around proclaiming that the ranks of CP go weaker to stronger from 8 to 1 instead?
You need at least three units from CP1-8 to make that kind of conjecture, really.
No, CP9 doesn't count, for reasons Ivotas has already stated.
oh, btw, was it specifically said that wanze and jerry were the bossses of cp6 and 7 or not? i just don't remember.
and yes mugiwara ii was said that each cp controls his part of the world/sea so that has nothing to do with their strength but you also have to assume that each cp has to have a power equal to the dangers of its region.
so as long as we don't know which cp controls which part of the sea, any statement is nearly useless i think. and we're not sure either that we'll see each cp, as cp 6 and 7 were just small fries to make some cool fights imo.
This is soooo mountain-out-of-molehill stuff here.
Just believe what you want to believe, rank them as you see fit. There's no evidence to suggest either side's right or…. wrong at this point. :glare:
