Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai is a masterpiece anime that follows the realistic and not at all fantastical fantasies of an average middle school boy, who is in no way a projected wish fulfillment of the target audience. The main character's stoic and sarcastic demeanor was not inspired by any derivative works of the company Key and he is a very unique and original character.
This witty and somewhat sardonic host of yours finds himself in quite a predicament. You see, he has a little sister. And a mother and a fa– hold the phone though!! This isn't just any little sister. Stunningly beautiful, the role model and idol of the entire school (you see all schools tend to operate as a single entity that focuses and zones in on the hottest person around!!), everyone loves her and she's also really into fashion and in general is just totally an attractive mate to her brother. I mean to other guys. Like us, the viewers! But... that's not all. You see, his little sister is actually... a total nerd!! Whoa! She reads manga! And anime! She's just like us!
Only with boobs! Undeveloped ones. They're like large grapes. Those are your favorite kind of breasts right? Well if you don't think this already sounds like the swellest time you'll ever spend your time on, then wait until you get a load of this. She also plays erotic visual novels and her favorite kind are ones that involve older brothers and little sisters.
Not incestuous!!
You see she just… likes them okay?? Her brother is a freak for thinking she has some kind of sick thing for him. What an unfounded conclusion. There's nothing going on here. In fact, the only thing going on here is the most well-thought out characterization and the most realistic portrait of an average Japanese sibling relationship to ever come out of a Korean sweat shop.
With a unique art direction and an unusually heavy focus on the development and comradery born from a brother/sister relationship, Ore no Imōto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Banana is this season's hottest animation that deserves every bit of lavishing praise it receives!
You can watch the first four episodes on this really cool site called Anime News Network, they're super!
