I did a search first, but didn't wield any results. Does APForums have a chat room if not it needs one.:ninja:
Chat room?

There's the almost defunct IRC-chat thing.
-
Check out the Naruto thread from 2nd to 8th.
-
8th naruto thread was totally a chat room. I was waiting for some role play or a vampire tavern to pop up in there but people stopped sniffing glue.
Elmer's glue…

Early AOL chatrooms were pretty much littered with chatrooms like "vampire tavern" or "vampire lake" or "vampire school"… a lawless time where people actually tried to role-play and determine who would win in fights by who typed quicker.
Fun times indeed.

Nope, we totally don't have a chat room.
-
You'd be very very surprised how much of the userbase has never used the IRC chat.
-
I try to, but nobody ever talks to me.
-
I feel like an Idiot seems dead, but maybe just maybe people will talk >_>.

Thank God stuff like that never happened.
Especially the vampire tavern.

AP doesn't have the kind of userbase suitable for IRC. Most of us have little to nothing in common except for a shared in interest in OP, which has waned for a lot of the more prominent (talkative) posters.
-
oh god gekko, you just brought back horrible, horrible memories.
I never went into the vampire ones, but there were plenty of medieval taverns..

That's because you don't know the therapic values of being punched by a huge Idle fist in the face. Once you learn to accept your pain and reflect on your posts you will reach the internet nirvana and step up.

I never went to the vampire taverns… just the Zoids roleplaying ones. >_> I was in high school don't judge me.

Oh don't you start!
-enters tavern, walks to bar, looks around room-

I could never figure out IRC. Never tried learning because I was laughed at for trying, or asking questions on how.

The basics are really easy. What is it you're having trouble with?
Also AP's IRC also has a simple javachat function, so you don't have to actually have an irc client.

IRC….the origin of Bleh.

I forgot what exactly I had trouble with. That was 6 years ago.

I could never be asked with IRC. Would require effort.
-
It was pretty essential for getting chapters and episodes back in the day.
There are lazier ways now though.

It is god-tier when one has a core group of individuals with a lot of shared interests and some off taste.
"Multiplayer Notepad" indeed.

stuff like chat and online games are real resource hogs for servers. and this has been brought up before too.

The IRC channel's still fairly active, but only at certain times of the day. Jonas and some other people are usually there talking about soccer a few times a week.

I played a Wrestling game there
It was actually pretty awesome
The only form of RP I enjoy and wished I could come back toEdit: On retrospective, I also played a Football RP, was also pretty good
