finally sanji is back to his normal self as chopper pointed out many times in this chapter.Jimbei had so many face faults in this chapter it ws nice to see him become silly .The big reveal at the end to nami might make her want to kill jimbei for real.

And guys, I know I seem naive here, but I actually have been reading every chapter since 599, and I have been watching the Marineford Arc in the anime when I get the chance.
And as for hating Luffy because of 4Kids, it was still a first impression, and my first impression was that Luffy is an obnoxious, over (and I mean WAY over) optimistic, idiot person. Anime's are supposed to be getting away from this kind of image.

It seems that Oda is doing the SH hometown every 1/2 chapter and the other half are the places they visited.
I guess we will see.
It is pretty much normal Nami has a lot of goosebumps when her past comes. She has been a slave for for a decade.
He's doing it in the order the characters were introduced for the most part.
Dadan was an exception.

I first got attached to this story because of the friendship and family values the SH's taught, Luffy's quest was the last reason I started following along. 4Kids's really stupid Luffy voice didn't help matters at all.
But all this is behind us, the TS has happened, and the SH's are back together, so no complaining needed now.

Well, I was following the manga, but I didn't actually read it (I had no interest in Luffy's solo story since I actually don't like Luffy at all).
I know nothing of the Sabo story and I'm just waiting diligently for the anime version.

Awesome chapter, mainly since the symbol at the end screams flashbackkkk! I think it'll be the least important one of the arc, but hey, flashbacks are always pretty neat.
"All better" with Chopper tucked behind the panel made me lol. And the Sea Forest is looking gorgeous, man. Yeah, go Oda, give those anime people some trouble. And god damn, Luffy is casual about everything now (for now). I love it.

Where was it said Jinbei ordered Arlong to go to east blue? letting him loose could have many interpretations. It oculd mean he exiled Arlong from FI. It could mean he disbanded the Sunny Pirates which got Arlong upset and led to him leaving for the east blue. Whatever it was, it's pretty unlikely he intentionally had Arlong do that stuff. I'm fairly certain this is a situation of him blaming himself through the power of hindsight

As for why I don't go back and read previous chapters, well, I tried to do that, but I'd much rather watch the anime versions since I find this manga a bit hard to understand (I don't even know an attack is happening until after it happened), and I can't find any uploads on Youtube with subtitles (don't anyone suggest Bittorrent either, that's like unleashing a virus breeding ground on your computer).
FYI: I lurked on this forum for months before getting an account, for this exact reason, I knew you guys would just insult me like this… The only reason I joined was to access the Spoiler Section.

If he hadn't let Arlong loose on East Blue, Nami would have never went out to the sea and met luffy.
Jinbei is a very apologetic person, so im sure He is not the One to blame.

Did jinbei tell arlong "hey, go take over east blue and kill anyone who gets in your way"? I don't recall that. He basically just let Arlong do his own thing because he couldn't keep the crew together. Everything that happened to Nami and her village is on arlong and his gang.
