Yay!! A classic is back.
X-Men Arcade coming to PS3/XBox 360

Bout time. That's only 15 years later than it should be.
I cant imagine that its aged very well or is much good when its not a sheer quarter muncher tho, but I enjoyed it a ton back in the day. Colossus with his near screen filling super was the most useful, but Nightcrawler was the most fun.

Now what would be REALLY AWESOME is if Konami somehow managed to release this game along side The Simpsons 1993 arcade game in a Final Fight: Double Impact-like compilation.
I know its not gonna happen, but I really want to see that game on a home console in some way…
-
OMG OMG OMG OMG
I HAVE TEARS IN MY EYES cause I'm so happy. YAY!
thank god I got a PS3 for my graduation

When I saw the topic I thought pretty much the same thing. Spooky.
-
I play this game often at the mall here (they have OLD school brawelrs).
Trust me.
It aged WELL.
Now where's my Simpsons Arcade Game!~?
-
If only, Tonfa.
Konami clearly remembers the days back when the X-Men used to be cool.

Every forum and game site I've gone to today is singing the same tune, happy as fuck we're getting X-Men and demanding Simpsons. Unfortuntely my childhood lacked the arcade, and the closest I got was watching my brother play various arcade ports on the Genesis. He was very controlling of his Genesis, only allowing me to play Sonic every now and then, think he let me play some Streets of Rage with him, but got pissed at how often I died. Understandable, but c'mon, I was a kid and those games aren't exactly cake walks.
My point is, I am grateful that we're in a trend at the moment of bringing oldschool games back thanks to download services like PSN and XBLA, cause it allows me the chance to experience an era I missed out on.
Oh, and I call dibs on Wolverine. I am actually 5'3, so I'm entitled to it. :ninja:
-
I call Nightcrawler. For me, this was the greatest arcade game ever.
I wish it were coming out earlier. I'm in a diet contest, and if I win (and I'm actually neck-in-neck with someone for the winning spot), I get to host a night in which the four of us get to play the video game and eat the food of the winner's choice.
I'd so fucking pick this, but the final day is this coming Friday.

WOOT another classic for playing (Granted I played it alot on Mame but it will be nice to do it on a actual controller). Looking forward to it. As for the Simpsons arcade. Well…they did remake it for the cellphones but it vastly inferior to the original since EA make it and not Konami.
-
Aww hell yeah! That was one of those arcade games that sucked away all of my tokens quickly.
Though it seems I've been beaten to the punch with the Simpsons arcade game demand too. But really, can you blame us?
-
I feel sorry for whichever of my friends gets stuck with Dazzler.
-
But Dazzler was awesome in the game. She had that giant exploding nuke attack thing.
Nevermind if she was terrible in the actual comics.
-
Ah yes, memories of playing this at Chuck E. Cheese's and constantly whoring Colossus's pulse attack.
-
I opened this thread hoping for children of the atom.
But this'll do nicely.
-
Sounds pretty rad. Hope it's dirt cheap.
And The Simpsons release is the only course of action from here. It just makes sense. And hey! now I won't have to blow several stacks of quarters beating this game! Also glad you can do online co-op it seems.

From what I understand It actually has little to nothing to do with 1993 Konami game on all fronts.

Dazzler was awesome.
Nothing beat Nightcrawler though. He was a beast.
