We are getting more and more last gen games re-releashed in HD, so I felt the need to make a thread to list these, discuss them, and talk about what we want HDfied. Here's the current list to the best of my knowledge.

So far 5 PS2 games I own but have yet to play have now been outclassed, and I'll promplty never play them now. Even so, I'm looking forward to them. I don't think I'm gonna buy PS2 games anymore. I suspect Devil May Cry is soon, and, hopefully, Ratchet & Clank.

Wasn't there rumours of the GTA games getting HD?

I can't say there is anything I particularly want upgraded myself. Work fine on the PS2. I'll only be picking up Shadow and Ico since I missed them the first time around.

Although I'd totally play Suiko 5 and Dragon Quest 9 again.

I'd foam at the mouth if we got Dragon Quest VIII in HD. But I don't see Square-Enix, even with all their portable ports, jumping on the HD bandwagon.

Rogue Galaxy - Always thought that looked one step off a 360 game anyway. Would look gorgeous in HD.

Awww, Beyond Good & Evil will strictly be a download title like Odin Sphere and Muramasa. Honestly, I'm surprised Odin and Muramasa aren't being grouped together in a retail collection. Oh! Just remembered, No More Heroes: Heroes' Paradise. Even tho it's a current gen game, it's still an HD port.

Never played sly cooper 2 and 3, will buy.
Don't care about ico, want shadow of the colossus.
Never played Warrior Within and never beat sands of time + Two Thrones.
Beyond good and evil will buy.
Already have GoW.
Everything else I have never played and have 0 interest in doing so.

I haven't played No More Heroes yet.

Although they'll have to beat the £5 tag they have on both 1 & 2 for the Wii to entice me to get them on the PS3

Beyond Good & Evil in HD barely looks different at all from the PS2 game. Guess they don't have to worry about a large filesize this way. Only thing I see that makes it superior to the 2003 version is that the game was forced letterbox with no way of changing it. Oh, and trophies.

Wamp wamp waaaaaaaah~ Oh well, works out for me. Looks like I didn't waste money on my PS2 copies of the three games, along with my copy of Beyond Good & Evil. So so far, the only game of my collection that has been outdated is Sly Cooper 1.

The PAL only wasn't the problem, besides you know Ubisoft's going to release ithere eventually. Problem is they barely did any changes.

The HD remakes are a good idea as long as they're done right, like GOW Collection, or if there's a good technical justification like fixing the terrible framerate in SotC or Odin Sphere.

The Prince of Persia one just looks like crap and if I really want to play those games in HD, that's what my PC is for.

Yeah, the Prince of Persia games and Beyond Good & Evil HD ports are identical to their PC versions. So the only real bonus is trophies. Not gonna buy 4 games I already own simply to increase my trophy level.

HD version of Medal of Honour: Frontline is bundled FREE with the new one. (at least with the Limited Edition one.) so if you're fancying that then.

MOH is pretty good. Nothing spectacular. It's just another gun game. But £15 for that and £15 for Frontline HD is a pretty good deal. It's easily the best FPS game I've played this year too. (Excluding Bioshock 1)

I've yet to really touch upon the Multiplayer. So if it's got the same high class of pepole Halo and COD have (IE: 10 year olds.) I'll be bashing it too XD

Frontline I played through a few years back on the cube (if it's the same one I'm thinking of.) I enjoyed it quite a bit. I hope they've added the mutliplayer for that online too tho I doubt it.

Halo is STILL a FPS. So as far as I'm concerned it can be compared to FPS games.

Doesn't mean anything tho. I can easily say that Medal of Honour is a better FPS game than Halo: Reach because SHOCK! Both are FPS games and I've played them both and MOH was better (at least so far.) You can say COD is better if you so wish but shrugs

You're forgetting about opinions, dude. I can understand if you would have said "I preferred MoH" or something along those lines, but "it's better because I played both of them"

I tried the BETA and I just hated it. I know it's a BETA but it's pretty much the same core gameplay as the final game. Maybe the campaign's better, IDK, but the MP looked like a bad Bad Company 2/MW2 mix.

Play Stalker. I'm half way through my second playthrough and I've played it for nearly 40 hours. And I'm for the most part just doing the main story. There's so many side quests to do it's ridiculous.

Can't wait for Ico/SoC HD.

Edit: MK Kollection is the first 3 MK games? Are they all going to be updated to the same graphics as the new MK game? Might consider getting that as well.

had a go on MOH Frontline last night. It's nothing amazing. It looks like they just cleaned up the Cube one and added trophies. Wasn't keen on having to install it to the HD too and then have to play it off the disc.

It seems to be very quick too. As if I was playing as the flash in WW2.

Sony will be releasing the HD ports of God of War and God of War II from the God of War Collection on to PSN next month. You'll have the option of buying each individually, or bundled together for a discount. No matter which route you go however, you will not get the GoWII special features that were released with it and the PS3 Collection. Not really missing much there, tho.

On another front, Sega will be releasing Space Channel 5: Part 2 on PSN and XBLA. Not sure if it's gonna be HDified, tho.

No surprise there. Sadly, it'll probably go the Prince of Persia route (individual digital downloads for $15 each) in the US.

But yeah it's a rumor. It'd be nice though, considering Halo CE is still the best one… And with XBL MP, it'll be 2x as fun. (Funny how 3 "remakes" aren't as good as the first one. Even funnier that Reach is actually closer to CE than 2 or 3 were yet it gets shit for being too different from Halo 3 by the fanboys. Damned if you do, damned if you don't. )

It's coming out early next year. Think around March, can't be certain. I have the 3 PoP games on PS2 and I haven't played them yet, but I'm compelled to pick up the Bluray even tho the only real change is trophies being added. You think if it drops to a good price in the future you'd be willing to mail me a copy? You have Paypal, right? £16 is still more than I'm willing to spend cause I technically do own the games already. Kinda hoping for like £10 eventually.
