Wow, that came out of no where. He overdosed. Christ people, it's not the 1970's anymore, give the drugs a rest.
Comedian Greg Giraldo has died at 44

What?! Oh man, this is shocking. I thought he was pretty funny.
May he rest in peace.
-
doesn't recognise the name, has never heard of him or any of his work
RIP I guess.
-
He's gone to the big dais in the sky. Peace out, bro.
doesn't recognise the name, has never heard of him or any of his work
[ROAST]Don't worry no else has either :rimshot:[/ROAST]
-
Damn⦠RIP. I like him on the Comedy Central Roasts.
-
Wow, really? I can't honestly say I'm surprised but still. Holy cow. RIP man.
-
I guess this is divine retribution over the Gary Coleman joke he told during the roast of David Hasselhoff.
Or he downed one pill bottle too many, either one.
-
I never knew he was that into drugs, but I suppose I can see it. even so, it's shocking news.
Will this kick off the rule of 3?
-
Apparently the overdose has been known since the 25th, and today is when he passed. So he's been known to be dying for 3 days, but you didn't hear anything about it. I don't wanna keep telling jokes on the guys death, but I think he would have wanted people to.
But because I do feel bad I do need to say: Rest in peace, man. I don't agree with the drug use, tho. But I don't think you could give a damn now.
-

Well, it was all over Stern on Monday, all the gossip riff-raff sites ran it over the weekend. But yerh, I don't think CNN were exactly clearing out the front page for Greg's little prescription banquet.
-
Holy shit. We're losing way too many comedians. What's Comedy Central going to do for their roasts now.
I was never a huge fan (especially of the roasts), but I know he's made me laugh in the past. R.I.P man. And yes, we'll start joking about your death shortly.
And yes, this will probably kick off the rule of 3.

Same here, except that I used to like the roasts until the Friars club stopped doing it. I only really remember that Greg did very little notable work outside the Roasts yet he got a perma spot on the standard roast team. He was good at ripping into people which was funny and his stand-up was along the same lines but not as funny.
R.I.P. dude.

mk1Z3jG9gRUI don't see how the Roasts are gonna be funny without him.
-
He was in my college's town, New Brunswick and was supposed to play at a comedy club here⦠but he never showed up.
He will be missed
-
I don't see how the Roasts are gonna be funny without him.
They were never funny with him.
I seriously never thought he was funny, mostly because I've only seen him on those god awful roasts. Maybe his stand up is good? But those roasts are a bad example of "comedy," save for Norm MacDonald's brilliance at last year's Bob Saget roast.
However, many people lost a friend and a family member today and my heart goes out to them. RIP
-
I liked his stand-up way better than his roast gigs.
I especially like his bit about Civil War Letters (skip to 2:15):

Rest in peace you hilarious man

Eh, he was pretty mediocre on his own. Anyway, the first post summed up my feelings pretty well, but this was still a pretty big shock. NEVER would've seen this one comingā¦

5XTcePLAVSsI thought this was hilarious. I know from experience a lot of people on this forum don't like the same comedy I do, so I stopped taking other members opinions on what's funny and isn't a long time ago. But this was funny, so everyone who thinks so speak up, so I know who to acknowledge and who to say "Shut up. I don't care." to.
-
WTF I didn't recognize the name and figured he was some old fuck but now I just realized who it really was..
Damnā¦. RIP
-
I've always found him funny, but I have to say I don't find him overdosing all too shocking. Anyway, It's a shame.
-
i can't believe this.
he was one of the funnier stand-ups doing the comedy central gig.
at least a million times funnier than fucking dan tosh!!RIP, greg..this is so lame. i think it was the divorce that did it.

It seems nowadays everyone is overdosing on prescription meds.
Ledger, Haim, Giraldoā¦. who's next?
